"Now before you get to master this jutsu. Let me tell you another application or method of how you can use lave release."
"The jutsu that you just learned uses molten rock in solid form. There is a liquid form to it as well." Hiruzen said with a smirk
"Use the same hand signs but change the boar seal with the Ox seal. Also, instead of dividing your chakra equally between the two chakra natures. Divide it with 75 percent of Fire release chakra and 25 percent of Earth chakra." Hiruzen said as Ken followed his instructions.
It again took him some time to get the right chakra amount of both the chakra natures.
Once he did, he did the hand signs as he spit out liquid molten rock or liquid lava in the form of a blanket.
Hiruzen jumped back a little as he saw the liquid lava landing on the ground as it started melting and burning the ground.
"This is so cool. How does it work Grandpa?" Ken said as he looked at the liquid lava still running on the ground melting it.
"When you increase the amount of fire release chakra compared to the earth release chakra, the excess amount of fire melts the molten rock turning it into liquid lava." Hiruzen explained the principle behind it
"In simple words, The earth was melted by the higher quantity of flames leading to liquid flames. This one according to me is the deadliest of the two as it's way hotter but it is slow. What I mean by slow is that it can be easily dodged as it takes time for it to reach the enemy. So it is better to use liquid lava in close to mid-range combat. Molten rocks should be used in mid to large-range combat."
'It can be used to break through enemy defenses like a mud wall or an earth dome easily. I can also use it at close-range taijutsu fights once I manage to reduce the hand signs required for the jutsu making it harder for the enemy to dodge.' Ken analyzed the use of liquid lava in various battle situations.
"This jutsu is called Lava Style: Lava blanket. By gathering chakra into your stomach, You will expel it in a jet of lava. By aiming this jet of lava upward, the contents will then rain down in a spray of lava that will melt away at anything in its path. Due to its large range, the jutsu is immensely difficult to avoid and instead should be defended against by a defensive jutsu to actually remain unharmed by the jutsu completely. Thus it becomes a B rank jutsu with the same number of hand seals as a C rank jutsu. And since you have a lot of chakra you can supercharge it and use it in for long range too." Hiruzen said
"Alright, now you have to learn this jutsu properly before I teach you the last remaining jutsu that Konoha has for Lava release. There are also other forms that lava release can be used which again I will teach you later. Along with reducing the number of hand seals for the jutsu, You have to learn how to add two chakra natures chakras in the right proportion within a second." Hiruzen said before disappearing.
'The other forms that Lava release can take are corrosive quicklime, Vulcanised rubber, Volcanised ash, and Acidic mud. I can guess how to use the first three but the fourth one is a mystery. Mei used it by increasing the pH in the air. How is that even possible with lava release?' Ken thought
Ken performed the shadow clone jutsu as five clones came into being. They all started doing the jutsu repetitively.
He was grateful for learning the shadow clone jutsu as it really helps him train at 5x speed. At the same time, he was envious of Naruto's ability to create thousands of shadow clones.
First, it took his shadow clones and him 20 minutes to get the right balance between the two chakra natures to perform the jutsu. It reduced to 18 minutes then 15 minutes then 10 minutes until Ken could do it in less than 5 seconds.
A month passed until he managed to do both the solid molten rock and liquid molten rocks jutsu properly.
He managed to reduce the hand signs for both of them to five hand signs from ten.
It was tougher to reduce the hand signs for kekkei genkai jutsus than normal jutsus.
Since he was continuously working on it, he could not do his taijutsu training with Mukai. It was not that he was running from Taijutsu training, Ken was just tired from training his lava release continuously.
Yeah, definitely not running from Taijutsu.
Ken would take frequent breaks whenever he would have only twenty percent chakra left. According to his grandpa, he should not maintain shadow clones once his remaining chakra is less than 15 percent.
Hiruzen praised him for mastering the two jutsus as well as the two forms of Lava release.
"Now that you have mastered these two jutsus. You can have the last lava style jutsu scroll in Konoha. Along with that I would be teaching you the remaining two forms that I know about the lava release."
