Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Shuriken clone jutsu and Summoning Jutsu
Ken was in the training ground with his now 7 shadow clones. He decided to work on his dhadow shuriken jutsu.
Shuriken shadow clone jutsu was too complicated. Hiruzen had taught ken all about it but it was way too complicated for Ken's six year old brain to comprehend all of it.
The shadow clones of shurikens were real. Even if destroyed, they wont go puff with smoke. The jutsu was almost like creating things. The power of creation. It was something ken believed came from Hagaromo's Creation of All Things ability which he used to create tailed beasts.
But Ken knew he was exaggerating things. While the shurikens were real, they would disappear after a few hours and it was nothing like creating sentinent beings out of chakra which the sage of six paths did.
He had to memorize the structure of shurikens. He even had to go to a blacksmith and see how they created the shurikens so that he could visualise the shurikens much better.
The jutsu was much more difficult than the A- rank Rasengan.
"There is no way that Konahamaru learned this jutsu when he was a genin or maybe he also had the talent that all generations of our family are blessed with. Or he was just blessed with the aura and luck of being the protagonist's student. " Ken muttered
"Hmm, I wonder when he would be born. I don't think my presence should change this. Mom and dad are young and would want another kid. But i am quite a handful already, what if they dont want another me. Maybe i should tell them that I want a lil bro so hey should get the job done. Hmm, that sounds about right. I will do it."
While Ken put his shadow clones to practice the shuriken shadow clone jutsu's hand signs, he wondered what he should do himself.
He was wondering if he should get a summon. To his suprise, It turns out having a summon is a pretty rare thingy.
Getting a summon is considered extremely dangerous. For a normal person, they would have to get a random summoning scroll that would summon them to a random domain of some beast clan where they would have to pass their test to become a summoner of that clan. If they fail, most of the beasts prefer to eat them rather then peacefully letting them go. The fail rate was pretty high.
Another way was to raise the animals themselves to become your summoning beast or to become friends with an already wild beast. This was the method that was used by most of the shinobis with a summon out there. There have been instances where a random animal had become as powerful as a beast from a sacred summoning. They could become as powerful as Gamabunta if they have the talent and chakra reserves for it.
But it's obviously very hard to do so and takes decades to do it. But these beasts have a much higher life span than humans.
The easier way was to have a beast specific scroll where you can sign your name with blood and become the summoner of that beast clan.
But most of these scrolls were kept by the beasts in their domain as they did not trust the humans to make the right choice.
Only some trusty people or people that the summons liked were given these scrolls. Like Jiraiya or Tsunade who had the scrolls for the toad summon and the slug summon.
Infact Ken was offered by Hiruzen, if he wanted to become a summoner of the monkey clan. While Ken thought the monkey king enma was cool and all, it did not suit him much. He did not like the idea of using a staff no matter how strong and versatile the staff was.
He was a man of tradition and thus was going to stick with swords. He even asked Hiruzen if they could only turn into staffs or other beasts but sadly they could only turn into staffs. Besides monkeys were pretty small compared to the other summon beasts.
Ken decided that it was his future's duty to decide which summon beast he would want but if he wanted one he would want either crows since they would help him in genjutsu and they were pretty cool or snakes since they were pretty versatile as well as have their own sage mode and would help him in poison techniques.
He would not mind a bat summon or the danzo's summon baku or a giant flying summon that could also fight. In short, Ken was quite confused.
Ken was wondering if one could summon people using the summoning jutsu. From his memories, he knew that Iruka during the second phase of the chunin exams got summoned from the scroll. If he could do the same, he would just summon Hiruzen and all his future enemies would run out in fear.
But after enquiring about it, it turned out that this jutsu would work if the summoned person was in the range of 10-15 kilometer of the other person. This is because at long distances, the teleportation might not be stable and can lead to deaths or teleportation to somewhere different in the best case scenerio.
The reverse summoning of the summoning clans was more stable and can be used for long range summoning. But only clans with summoned beasts with a lot of intelligence could use it which is extremely rare.
While Ken was thinking about all of this, his shadow clones had made a breakthrough in the jutsu as one of them managed to create one clone of the shuriken which disappeared after a minute.
'What a drag' Shadow clone Ken thought as Ken ordered him to try again.
