Chapter 2: The bargain with a Goddess.
[ What is your name human?] Lucas heard the same seductive voice from before in his head ask.
'Who is this In my head? He cried out in his mind, fear clouding his reasoning.
[ For now, you don't need to know who I am, I ask again, what are you called human?] The same voice asked him again in an authoritative voice, prompting him to answer.
"Lu- Lucas." He stuttered out in his mind as he tried to understand what was happening.
[ Hmmm Lucas. Well Lucas I would be borrowing you from this parallel realm for about…I don't know...] there was a pause. [ But for long. I just need your consent before I can pull you out as your soul has been ingrained here on earth. So what do you say?] The seductive voice slurred out as her words seemed to crease his every being.
Lucas's mind calmed down as he analyzed what was going on. This thing wants to take me but can't so she wouldn't be able to take me to wherever it is she wants without my consent. Good.
"I don't even know you or what you look like and you expect me to agree to what you say?" He voiced out boldly, partially wanting to hear this thing tell him more, and also he wanted to see the person behind the voice.
[ Normally, other humans would follow me without a question after seeing my appearance and hearing my name hehe!] He heard the sweet voice laugh out.
Like a slow painting, he witnessed the form of someone slowly taking shape right on his bed.
Staring from the milky white legs, he watched the full body slowly reveal itself and he could not help but start thinking dirty.
The being in front of him was no less than an epitome of beauty, his eyes raked over her body like a female- starved youth that he was.
[ So do you agree now?] Her seductive voice reached his ears and brought him back from his fantasy world.
He was so marveled at her beauty that his rational mind forgot to think of how someone could appear out of thin air, he was just focused on how those thin stings on her shoulders were able to pull up so much weight without snapping.
*Cough*
He blushed in embarrassment as he was caught staring at her chest for too long. Lucas's eyes slowly rose to meet hers.
[ So what do you say?] She repeated.
To answer "yes" was at the tip of his tongue but then he remembered his mom. He didn't want to leave her alone, she was all he had and he was all she had.
"Who are you? How long will I be gone and what do I stand to gain?" He questioned instead wanting to think this through before making a decision.
[ I am Goddess Aphrodite, you may not have heard of me-] Her words were cut short by his exclamation.
"Wait! Aphrodite is real? And you are her? That- very believable." His voice slowed down as his eyes greedily moved over her body with more vigor now.
"So are you here to fulfill a wish of mine or something?" Lucas asked eagerly.
[ No. I am just here for your soul, I need it for something very important.] Folding her hands across her chest wanting to get the funny idea in this kid's head out. She was not going to stoop so low for a mere Earth youngling.
"What do I gain from helping you?" Lucas asked confused.
[ Nothing. You should be feeling honored to even feast on my body with your eyes.] She replied haughtily, her chin facing upwards.
"Then no, I refuse to help you." He was not about to be a good Samaritan to her and gain nothing in return.
Aphrodite was stunned by his reply. This Earth youngling was feeling too important for her liking, if she was not in a desperate position to find a determined soul to extract, she would not waste her time here.
[Okay, in return for your help, what do you want me to offer you?] She eyed his thin frame as she asked.
"How about you grant three wishes of mine like a genie?" Lucas blurted out as his mind raced at what he was going to ask for.
[ Not possible. I am a goddess, not a genie.] She rejected. What does he think she is to grant the wishes of a lowly Earth youngling pff?
"Well, then no deal," Lucas stated firmly. With the way she had refused to leave despite his questions and demands, she must be very desperate and he was going to make the most of it.
[ Okay, I would grant you only one wish that is within my power.] She conceded.
"Two." Lucas bargained.
[ One! Take it or leave it.] She stated firmly already taking offense as this human thought it could boss her around.
"Okay deal. I agree." Lucas confirmed not wanting her to change her mind.
[ Great!]
Before he knew it a flash of pink light engulfed his whole body in a warm glow.
It was at this point he realized he had accepted the deal without inquiring how long he would be gone.
"Hey Aphrodite, how long did you say I would be gone for again?" Lucas questioned.
[ It doesn't matter since you already accepted and I have started the process of extracting your soul hahah!] Her voice and body slowly faded as his eyes started to drop close, he felt dizzy but his consciousness was still awake.
'She tricked me!' that was his only thought as he steamed with anger. The pink glow surrounding him began to dim but he could not still move his body.
Just then he heard his mom call out to him but he couldn't even move or speak and he started to panic.
'I can't let her see me like this!" He panicked as he tried to open his eyes but it seemed to be glued shut.
