Chapter 38: 1x 12 Faith

I was in an office in the veil, Tessa called me saying that she had an emergency with one of her reapers.

Just then I felt a gust of wind and Tessa appeared, she had the appearance of a young beautiful woman with black hair and light-colored eyes.

"Tessa, it's been so long, how have you been? I see that you have changed your form again to something much younger." Giving her a smile

"Yes, I suppose it's been a while since we had the time to chat together like this, however the reason I called you here was to ask you a very important favor emissary."

I raised an eyebrow at the title, it was a long time since anyone called me that name, and by Tessa no less, it must be a big favor she needed me to do.

"Very well Tess, go on ask me the favor it must be very important if your going to call me by a formal title." As I conjered a slice of pizza and can of Mountain Dew

"Well it's one of my reapers Mors, he has been missing roll-call and his shifts for a while and I am concerned about his safety." Tessa looked nervous

"Mors? He is Missing that's strange, he is not the type to neglect his duties under any circumstances."

I was surprised he was missing as Zerachiel would never stop talking about his loyalty and dedication.

"Yes, that seems to be the case and as much as I want to go and see what has happened to him, I have to stay here and manage the rest of the reapers and keep everything in order."

"But, since your independent from heaven and the emissary of us reapers, I was hoping to use your position to enlisted you as an agent, and find out what happened to Mors." Tessa began to look at me with hopeful eyes.

"Hmmm, I suppose it is my responsibility to protect you reapers, as you are servant's of Death and many of you I consider friends."

"Very well I accept your favor to find Mors, as his fate would be reason for concern if our mutual enemies were to find a way to deal with a reaper." I finished my meal and stood up from the chair

"By the way Tessa, would you happen to know Mors's last location? Preparing to fly

She summoned a file on Mors, and opened and flipped it to the page of his collections.

"His last soul he needed to collect was a man named Roy Le Grange, who was to die from a coma." Tessa read

"Roy Le Grange, now that explains it there was an episode when a reaper was captured and force to kill people before their time. Realizing the events that were planing out

I left the veil, and headed to the material realm and I went straight to the Le Grange church in Nebraska.

When I got there Dean was already walking up to the front of Roy's pulpit, I saw Mors and he healed dead and disappeared from sight.

I followed him chasing a human athlete named Marshall Hall, and reaping his life before his time, I stopped time and got infront of him.

"Mors, I see that you are in the middle of something? Gesturing to the dead human

"Lord Isaiel, you grace me with your presence, and I apologize for this use of my powers but I am bound by this spell and I am forced to go against the natural order." Mors looked almost apologetic

Mors's appearance was an Elderly man wearing a black mortician suit, his true form was bound by chains and had what looks like a leash aurond it's neck.

"I can see that Mors, Tessa wanted me to see your fate due to you not being present and sent me to retrieve you so you can go back." I explained the situation to him.

"I would love nothing more however, unless the amulet that is binding me is destroyed I cannot be freed and it is in the hand's of the wife if the man who heals." Mors said with rage

I nodded and knew the she had to be stopped, reapers are in charge of being neutral in all events regardless of the situations, binding and forcing one to kill is no power a human or anyone should have.

I teleported back to the church and I looked aurond as time was still stopped, I could smell the stench of black magic in this church down in the basement and on the cross of Sue Ann, the wife of Roy.

I went down to the the basement and saw a black altar, it was filled with human bones and blood with several cross, with one of them being a Croptic cross one of the instruments to bind a reaper.

On the altar was a ritual book, I opened it and it was a book containing secrets on how to bind reapers, how to force a reaper to do a Death Transference, and raise the dead.

I immediately burn the book, destroying the book completely, as well as destroy the cross on the altar to weaken the binding on Mors.

I then made a makeshift Throne, and sat in it simultaneously allowing time to flow normally and then I waited in the basement for the wife to come.

It was until night, when the basement doors opened and revealed Sue Ann, the one of had the gall to enslave a reaper with Mors behind her.

When she saw me she yelped, as it was completely dark and all that she could see was my glowing pupils looking quite intimidating for anyone looking at me.

(Like how dream looked when he was free from his prison at the end of the episode)

"Do you know the chaos you have brought to the living world because of your actions." Barely whispering to her

"Who a-are you, and what are you doing here you are disrupting God's work." Sue piously spoke to me with a bit of fear In her eyes

"Who am I? I am the one who has to fix your mess when you decided to play God mortal."

"Play God, you think I am playing God I am doing my life's work in his name." Holding up the cross

"Your life's work makes him puke."

"Leave you demon, you shouldn't dare step foot in the house of God." Trying to make Mors obey her

"My Father has left this house and you, this is not a church just an empty box with people."

As I showed her my six wings and lightning flashed in the sky and light emanating from my form showing her that I am an angel.

"I-I am doing his w-work in his name." Sue looked at me fearful and was shaking

"Really Lies in the house of God, no wonder he has abandoned you." My tone was condescending and mocking

"You are just a mortal, who found some dark magic and used it to enslave something you cannot possibly understand, to someone like that reaper you are just dirt and to someone like myself and God even less."

"I was helping the world, cleaning one mess at a time selflessly, and with my power then I would be God." She spoke deliriously as her eyes widened

"Selflessly is that a fact? Settling your own petty vendetta's, truly a humanitarian among us." Looking at Mors sarcastically

"Miss Le Grange, I know God, i have seen God, and you ma'am are no God." With a tone of finality

"But, since you like to mess with stuff you don't fully understand, my punishment is that you will feel the impact and the change of all the Fates that you mess with when you killed a person, and you will feel it even after death."

After that I made the amulet that bound Mors, shatter and made Mors leave to report to Tessa and I left to go to my vessel's house to allow him spend time with his family.
