Chapter 12: Seku's turn

After the tower rejected Kakashi, the ninja pug dog named Pakkun made a firm decision to enter the tower as well.

"Can I really go in and play?" Pakkun asked Seku, expressing his doubts since he's a dog and the opponents are humans.

"Sure, you can.

"Everyone can," Seku replied, understanding that the system wouldn't exclude a God, an ant, and a ghost.

After all, this is a system, every system is omnipotent.

Hearing that, Pakkun still has doubts.

However, looking at the confident look of Seku, he could only nervously swallow.

Gulp!

When he tried to enter and pay the robot Gorilla, it shook its head and raised its banana, indicating to them not to proceed inside the tower.

Ding!

Kakashi and Pakkun were confused. They both turned to look at Seku, however, Seku was also displaying a look of confusion.

However, their confusion quickly came to an end when the system rang in their head and showed a screen with a message.

[ The player Pakkun, the assistant dog ninja, has completed his playtime. However, the player can still stay and watch or leave and come back tomorrow. ]

The system politely informed them.

Now, standing before Pakkun and Kakashi with his arms folded, Seku let out a sigh and explained with a weary expression.

"I didn't expect that there would be a time limit for entering here."

"Unfortunately, both of you will have to leave and return home, or if you prefer, you can stay and watch as I tackle this tower, but I'm sure it would be boring," he said in a calm tone.

Kakashi and Pakkun exchanged curious glances.

They were also interested.

Suddenly, Kakashi remembered something and respectfully addressed Seku.

"Seki-kun, I have summoned Might Guy to join us because of the powerful chakra that was present when you created these towers. I hope you don't mind."

Kakashi, being perceptive, realized the potential significance of the Gaming Paradise and how the village could utilize it to train skilled shinobi.

However, Seku clarified his intentions, explaining that his creation was meant for amusement and training for the new generation of talented individuals for fun, not to build an Anbu army or gain personal control over the Hidden Leaf Village.

Kakashi respected Seku's reasoning, knowing the dire consequences if Danzo and the Hokage, Hiruzen, found out about this endeavor.

He decided to keep it a secret for now or maybe still inform the Hokage later to come to a conclusion.

Nevertheless, Kakashi had already invited Might Guy to join them, hoping that Seku would welcome the enthusiastic taijutsu expert.

"Haha, Might Guy. He's the most talented student of our generation. His presence is more than welcome, and I'm sure he'll be thrilled about the opportunities this place offers," Seku said with a smile before heading towards the exit.

Meanwhile, Kakashi nodded in agreement, fully aware that this realm would become Guy's sanctuary.

Might Guy's mastery of taijutsu was unmatched, with Kakashi being the only one who could rival him.

If Guy discovered this sanctuary, his fighting spirit would soar as he faced formidable opponents skilled in physical combat.

Moreover, his combat expertise would also be put to the test if Guy was really the best, when it comes to Taijutsu.

As Seku entered the tower, Kakashi and Pakkun immediately asked him to join them in watching his exploits through a live stream.

Without any hesitation, Seku agreed to their request. Quickly, the choices appeared, and like Kakashi, he decided to go with randomness.

Luckily, he ended up in the realm of Boxing, a discipline he was skilled in.

"Watch closely, Kakashi and Pakkun, as I show you the artistry of this sport," Seku confidently declared as Paquito, the sentient computer, appeared.

The excitement of showcasing his skills filled Seku with a surge of energy, his blood pumping with enthusiasm.

With unwavering confidence in his eyes, he prepared himself for the upcoming display of his talent.

In a quick and skillful move, Paquito threw a powerful punch, creating a loud impact in the air—Bang!

But Seku effortlessly dodged the blow by rolling his shoulder.

Despite being an amateur in boxing, he had a good understanding of the game sport and knew that the early rounds would be less intense.

Taking advantage of the situation, he swiftly moved past Paquito and positioned himself behind the computer.

"Behold the Philly Shell defense," Seku confidently announced, his voice carrying authority.

"By rolling my shoulder, I can protect my chin from devastating blows. I won't get knocked down," he explained, pretending to be knowledgeable despite his almost non-existent experience in boxing.

The first round ended with a flurry of action, leaving Kakashi and Pakkun amazed even from outside the tower.

[ Round 2. ]

And just as quickly as it started, a new round began, with Paquito throwing jabs at an increasing speed.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Nevertheless, Seku skillfully blocked and evaded each strike effortlessly.

Meanwhile, Kakashi was astonished by Seku's impressive combat skills.

He knew that Paquito, the opponent, was highly accurate and skilled at using feints.

However, Seku seemed to effortlessly dodge every attack.

But Kakashi noticed a peculiar pattern—Seku consistently got hit in the chest.

It was as if, despite his ability to defend himself, he always left himself open to strikes aimed at that specific area.

Curiosity filled Kakashi's mind as he wondered why Seku remained resilient despite the hits.

Could it be that Seku's technique somehow reduced the damage he took?

Kakashi was unsure, unable to understand the reasoning behind it.

In Kakashi's experienced eyes, Seku's Philly Shell defense didn't seem particularly effective.

However, despite this observation, Seku showed no signs of discomfort or pain, unlike Kakashi himself when facing Paquito earlier.

He doubted whether the technique was truly effective.

However, all of that was nonsense.

Defense?

Toughness?

That was nonsense.

As the intense battle continued within the game, Seku's inner thoughts became increasingly twisted, his laughter echoing in his mind.

"I love you, my cheat code," he whispered with reverence.

This cheat code, called "Absolute Physical Defense," gave Seku an unmatched level of invincibility.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Every punch that hit him in the game felt like being hit by a moderately thrown egg within three meters—uncomfortable and slightly annoying, but not agonizing.

The cuts, bruises, and other injuries that he should have suffered were invisible.

Seku revealed this newfound invulnerability, feeling only mild discomfort, like a minor inconvenience, unless the attacks were powerful or close.

However, something strange happened when the fourth round began.

Paquito's punches landed cleanly on Seku's face and body with impeccable precision.

The crisp sound echoed through the air with each hit.

Kakashi and Pakkun, watching from the outside, were surprised by this unexpected turn of events.

"What's going on?

"Could Seku really have such incredible resilience?"

Kakashi wondered, knowing well the factors that determined the effectiveness of strikes in the game—height, weight, size, reach.

But inside the game, the enemy and the player had the same attributes.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The relentless onslaught of punches on Seku seemed impossible to both Pakkun and Kakashi.

Each punch, even a single one, had tremendous power.

Kakashi knew all too well the strength of a well-executed punch. It could disorient, disrupt attacks, and ruin carefully laid plans.

In the beginning, enduring such punches might be manageable, but over time, the pain would become increasingly unbearable. It should have been excruciating.

So why could Seku withstand this relentless barrage without a scratch?

The mystery of Seku's endurance puzzled both Kakashi and Pakkun, leaving them searching for answers.

The apparent contradiction between Paquito's powerful punches and Seku's unwavering resilience remained a mystery, hidden within the game's mechanics.

After a long time, the fifth round came to an end.
