Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Deep Contemplation of the Old
As Sengoku and Magellan headed to the first level, Lucas changed into a suit after a refreshing shower. The discarded handcuffs in the trash reflected the futility of trying to contain him.
"It is always more refreshing after a good shower," Lucas whispered to himself. "Now it's time to do business."
He walked over to the bed, lifted the covers, and lay down, closing his eyes comfortably. Jimbei in the opposite cell observed the unexpected turn of events.
"Going to bed so early?" Jimbei questioned, perplexed by Lucas suddenly going to sleep after suiting up for something significant.
Lucas, however, had no intention of sleeping. Before closing his eyes, he glanced towards the interrogation room. "If you want to kill me, you have to pay a small price... Gorosei… hehehehehe," Lucas mumbled under his breath.
The prisoner in the next cell caught the faint hum of a song.

The eerie tone resonated in the dark cell.
"What is this guy humming? It gives me the creeps!" complained a prisoner. The prisoner next to him, feeling uneasy, asked, "Hey hey, what do you know?"
However, his voice, in Eternal Hell, was like a dead stone, receiving no response from anyone.
Ignoring the unsettling humming, the interrogating prisoner rolled over, and the cell succumbed to silence.
In Mariejois, in a luxury mansion on the Holy Land, five high-ranking Elders sat on a sofa while the Commander-in-Chief reported on the events of the previous night.
Amidst the report, a sudden knock interrupted the room.
"Commander-in-Chief! Five Elders! the information from Impel Down has arrived. All the agents who went to interrogate Lucas are dead... none of them survived."
A CP personnel rushed in, face pale, delivering the shocking news.
Silence gripped the room.
"But I sent some of our strongest agents" Saint Shepherd Ju Peter grimaced. They had underestimated Lucas.
All the CP personnel sent to interrogate him lay dead. It wasn't a direct battle but an interrogation in Impel Down, this goes to highlight Lucas's threat level.
"The most urgent thing is to find a way to solve those ghosts that haunt us!" Kong emphasized, seeking solutions.
"Last night, I saw not just one ghost, but one big and one small..." Kong took a deep breath, narrating the night's events in detail.
"Two ghosts…?" Saint Topman Warcury frowned upon hearing the report. This matter couldn't be kept secret, and rumors were likely to spread, unsettling the Tenryuubito.
Even the Tenryuubito cursed Kong as incapable. The Commander-in-Chief of the entire navy couldn't catch a ghost — what a jest.
There was no sense of safety in the Holy Land anymore; ghosts could claim their lives at anytime.
Some Heavenly Dragons considered leaving until the ghosts were driven out.
Even the Gorosei found themselves troubled. The sacred place called Mariejois, now haunted and stained with the blood of Heavenly Dragons, had lost its sanctity.
"Does anyone have any solution for the ghost problem?" After a brief silence, the unanimous answer was, "Lucas" "Lucas" "Lucas" "Lucas" "Lucas".
The problem was tied to Lucas, whether the ghost was his or not. Killing him seemed the only possible solution.
"Should we get rid of him? But he's a bit hard to handle..." Kong admitted his incompetence in dealing with ghosts, considering the fate of those attempting harm on Lucas. This indicated that Lucas might possess the ability to manipulate ghosts.
"There is no need to kill him; we just need to find out what he wants and ask for cooperation." Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro suggested.
Saint Shepherd Ju Peter, examining a report, revealed that the Cypher Pol had secretly sent the cameko from the Navy to a pirate group, awaiting the results.
Saint Marcus Mars supported the suggestion, adding, "As long as the cooperation gets its due results."
They prepared for two things: cooperating with Lucas to address the ghost issue and, if needed, eliminating him. As for Lucas's desires? Kong would handle that.
