Chapter 29: Prophecy

In one of the distant empires.

A man in black robes ran up to an old man with a long beard sitting behind a desk and said, "Sir! I have something to report to you urgently!"

The old, bearded man put aside the scroll he was reading and looked at the man in the black robe.

"Martin, what is it that has you running in such a hurry?" he asked curiously.

"The prophecy... Sir, I think the prophecy is coming true! The dimension stones have been losing power in an unusual way lately!"

The bearded man pushed back the chair he was sitting in, stood up, and quickly walked past the man named Martin, and opened the door to a staircase leading to the underground.

"Oh no, is the prophecy that was delivered to our sect centuries ago really going to be fulfilled in the century of my presidency?" the man descended the stairs with quick steps.

When he came down to the end of the stairs, 9 people were waiting at the 10 glowing fist-sized stones arranged around a circle.

"Sir, with your permission" Martin walked past the old man waiting at the door and went to the empty shiny stone, and closed his eyes by placing his hand on the stone.

When the old man also closed his eyes and started to feel all the dimensional stones in the magic room, he frowned.

"There is something different from the usual dimensional damage that happens every day..." his eyes suddenly opened wide.

"Something has pierced the dimensional membrane! Oh my God!"

The man's eyes hardened as he took a parchment out of his pocket and tore it up "Attention all dimensional guardians, I, Darrow Darknight, 14th President of the Dimensional Guardians, report that we are under dimensional invasion! Increase the protection of all dimensional stones and protect the dimensional membrane against possible attack!"

The old man looked as if he had suddenly aged even more, even his posture had become hunched.

'Although the dimensional invasion is not yet at a significant level, we must find the cause of the dimensional invasion and destroy it, otherwise...' The man shuddered in fear, remembering the great secret of their sect, known only to their leader.

...

In an unspecified place.

A man with a broad smile on his face looked at the 12 masked men seated around the round table and announced, "We have news that the prophecy has begun to be fulfilled!"

Hearing what the man said, the 12 people stood up.

"Are you serious!"

"The great day has come!"

The dimensional guardians will try to prevent it, we must be careful!"

...

Sitting at the head of the table, the man who delivered the news allowed the 12 to talk for a while, then cleared his throat and signaled for them to be quiet.

"It is too early to get excited, even though the dimensional invasion has begun, it is not yet serious enough to open the dimensional rift, like a drop of water trying to fill the sea, but it will become serious in time!"

The excited crowd calmed down when they heard these words.

The man continued, "All I ask of you now is that you try to find the possible location of the dimensional invader, and if you find it, to protect it secretly."

The crowd nodded in agreement.

"The day of our ascension is at hand! On Gliese or any other dimension! We will achieve the greatness we deserve!"

...

A mansion in the woods.

Click.

Aden's servant opened the door he had locked and let Luck in.

Not seeing Luck in the bedroom, she said, "Mr Luck, Lord Aden is waiting for you in the dining room."

...

Silence.

"Mr Luck."

No answer...

The maid looked at the closed toilet door and said "Mr Luck, your efforts are futile, even if you somehow get past me, you cannot escape from here, please come out."

No reply.

Rolling her eyes, the maid walked with determined steps and opened the toilet door.

"Mr Luck, Lord Aden...." Seeing that the toilet was also empty, the servant froze in place.

"Where is this man?"

Frightened, the maid checked the room, the cupboards, and even under the bed, but no one was there.

...

Aden Star, who was almost finished eating in the dining room, was impatiently tapping his finger on the table.

"Where is that man? How dare he make me wait here like this?" Aden asked impatiently when he saw the servant entering the room alone with trembling steps in front of his head.

Hearing Aden's question, the servant trembled with fear, afraid of what might happen.

"My lord, we cannot find Mr Luck, he may have fled the mansion."

"I don't understand." Aden looked at the servant with a blank expression.

"Are you telling me that he escaped from this mansion in the forest?" his voice grew colder as his voice grew colder.

"What are all these guards for? Can't they even keep a man without star power here?"

"My lord, I..." the servant, noticing the ice beginning to spread upwards at his feet, fearfully tried to speak to calm Aden, but Aden was suddenly in his face and pinched his cheeks with his hand.

"Are you going to order me to be calm again?"

"I would not dare, my lord..." The woman's face became numb as she spoke because of the pieces of ice that began to form on her face.

"You wouldn't dare..." A bone-chilling wave of cold air spread through Aden's body.

"You can't even handle an ordinary man..." Aden squeezed the now completely frozen maid's face with his hand and she shattered like glass.

"Look, I stayed calm this time..." Aden looked down at the maid, who had turned into pieces of ice on the floor.

"Guards!" Aden shouted, turning his back on the mess that used to be his maid.

The door to the dining room opened instantly and two guards came in.

"Clean up the mess on the floor and send a new maid."

"Yes, sir," Aden spoke again as the guard turned to leave with a salute.

"And find me that man, or give him a warning, do you understand me?"

The guard saluted again and said, "Understood sir."

When the guard turned his back and left the room, Aden took Luck's phone out of his pocket and Luck's watch appeared on his wrist.

Examining the phone in his hand, Aden unlocked the screen and looked at the illuminated screen with interest "An interesting magic device... I'll get the source of all this from you, Luck."

World

Achooo!

Luck blew his nose. Convincing his mother that he hadn't got the money to open the shop through any nefarious means, Luck persuaded her to take the whole day off work and stay at the shop to see how much business it was doing.

'It's a good thing I moved enough supplies to the warehouse in Gliese before I was kidnapped, otherwise, the shop would have had to stay closed because I couldn't get to Gliese today.'
