Chapter 4: Part 4 - Awakening and Early Years-
First person POV-
"Vi...al....een!" (What, what's going on? Who's speaking?)
"...izing pre....ure!" (Was I pressurized, weird, though would explain the hearing trouble)
"Pressure Equal! Opening Pod in 3...2...1...Pod Open!"
Ah I can he....Ahck! What ever that fluid was I just threw it all up...I hope.
As I was getting my bearings I noticed a lot of lab coats, doctors? I thought, and a sigular old man not wearing a coat, whom for some reason weird me out. As I am wondering who the are and marveling (heh) at the fact I actually reincarnated, one walks up while carrying something.
"Put these on" He tells me.
I look at the clothes? and then down to myself.... ah I am naked, that's embarrassing. Taking the clothes I am thinking to myself they are a lot nicer then I thought they wearing to be, the people not the clothes as those are not comfortable, I was not expecting nice but I'll take it!
"Can she speak?" the weird old man asked to which the doctor replies " Yes it should be able to." "Well! Speak!" He states turning back to me. Completely stunned from being called an it I just grunt instead of actually answering. That was a mistake....
@*%&$ That hurts! I thing crying and screaming on the floor as I am electrocuted. The doctor then screams at me " When we speak you Obey!"
"....yes" I mumble thinking they aren't nice at all! Did I really wish for this!?
#&$*@!!! the pain intensives. "Answer!" Not wanting it to continue I scream "Yes! Yes I can speak!" To which the pain finally stops. All I get is "Good,you are called X-23, Now Follow." I don't hesitate to do so, as I am I try my claws to which I realize my x-gene has not yet activated....Fuck. Guess I will milk them for all they got then..... NO BAD IMAGES GO AWAY!
As we walk to who knows wher, the doctor (whom I will now be calling Doctor Dick) tells me that "If the suit is damaged at all you will be punished."
No longer hesitating to respond I say "Understood!" That was apparently a mistake as I am once again on the floor in pain.
"Do not speak unless we tell you to do so or if we ask a question!" Waiting a bit before asking "Understood X-23?!"
"Yes!" I scream through the snot and tears.
After that we continue walking in silence until we come across and isolated room where the Dr. Dick throws me into once the door opens. "This is where you sleep." He say while I'm thinking there is nothing in here.... just a white room with white squares and white lights coming from nowhere. The weird old man with us says before the door shuts " I will be back later sleep until then."
Left alone in the square room with nothing but my thoughts I would think this is a form of White room torture if it wasn't for my clothes? being back and silver. Not yet being tired I just start to walk around trying to count the squares one...two....46....189....380....400. Okay I know I lost count a while ago, I guess I will just lay down then.
Aaah! Fuck! What was that for I think as I am once again shocked. Speakers announce from nowhere "Do not damage the suit".
After the pain stops I try to take the suit of to inspect the damage to which (you guessed it) I am once again shocked. "Do not remove the suit" the speakers go off again. Well Fuck, I will try to sleep siting then, just wish they could turn off the lights however the get it to go through the walls I will never know.
My sleep did not go well as one might expect I damaged the suit twice in my sleep or so they say. Hours? Later the door opens in a different spot then before and the creapy old man true to his word came back yelling "Wake! Follow!".
Begrudgingly I wake and obey following to a classroom/dojo combination. My new training area I assume knowing some of the original X-23's history. "You will be learning here girl, all day every day and then going back to sleep. Let's begin!" The creepy old man says to me confirming my thoughts.
And so it was my life for who knows how long ( 2 years dear readers) that I learned languages,math, martial arts, anatomy, weapons and various other things. They never tried to replace the suit even though I kept "damaging" it.... seems to work fine considering how much I get shocked still only ever removing it for the restroom to which they watched or when i out grew it. And so I thought that this was how it was going to be until one day? night? a bunch of people came to my door (which kept moving, I know because I slept next to it to check only to have one open elsewhere) waking me up and escorting me somewhere new.
This place has radioactive symbols everywhere and they are now getting into hazmat suits, remembering how the original X-23's gene activated I run! Or I try to as soon as I turn electrocuted to the max. Still trying to recover someone says "Stip it, Stap it down and proceed!" As I am tied and gaged down to a table in the same of a person?? Weird. They all leave and shortly after PAIN like no other, burning, itching and several others I can't describe assault my senses as my flesh peels, blisters and melts and my eyes do the same along with one of them going POP. Thinking this is how I die before I suddenly start recovering and my claws rip through my skin, now left in a constant state of pain and healing until it stops and I am or rather the table I am tied to starts to tilt. Trying to see what is coming next I look around with my eyes to the doctors in the viewing room (Yes they wanted to watch) where Dr. Dick says through speakers "You shouldn't have tried to run X-23. This is your punishment remember compliance will be rewarded." That sounds familiar and as I am wondering what he means I see the doctor next to him cry as her eyes go wide in horror looking somewhere..... I follow her line of sight to see the Creepy Old Man undressing. Realizing what he is about to do, do to me! My eyes go wide in shock and horror as I struggle to break free a the while screaming.
It was useless, I feel gross, I hate them all! I will kill them all! Slice them into pieces! As I am picturing their deaths over and over, The Scum (previously creepy old man now knowing why he was the only one to call me girl and not it), left and the speakers go off saying "That will be an additional punishment from now on X-23, remembering comply and be rewarded." Now I remember where I heard that from...Hydra. Fuck! Well one more reason to kill them all. Those were my last thoughts as I fell asleep on the table.
