Chapter 11: Annoying Sound
The Left Guardian provided a brief orientation on what would occur during their time at the academy. There would be six tests over the next four years. Success in each test would bring significant rewards, such as status, miraculous elixirs, and, most importantly, access to the Demonic Library.
The Demonic Library contained all the secret martial arts of the martial world, including renowned techniques like the Supreme Sword of Wudang and the Indestructible Vajra Body of Shaolin. It also housed the martial arts of the Six Clans and those from the three different factions.
However, the most coveted martial arts were not those of the Forces of Justice or the Forces of Evil, but the sword traces etched into the Sapphire Monolith on each floor. These held the legendary Sword Force of the Sky Demon, the Divine Art of Cheon Ma, and the most powerful sword technique in martial arts history, which had remained undefeated in the past and future. Additionally, there was the Destructive Sword Technique left by the great Sword Demon.
With these details explained, the Right Guardian, Lee Hameng, sadistically announced the commencement of the first test.

A middle-aged woman, elegantly attired in an expensive silk robe and holding a pipa, entered the scene with two lines of servants following her gracefully, as if they were her entourage.
The woman moved gracefully, but there was a subtle undercurrent of dangerous power about her, especially with the pipa she carried. This musical instrument had claimed many lives.
The Left Guardian, Lee Hameng, gave her a brief but respectful bow before turning his attention back to the crowd.
"Allow me to introduce the 5th Elder of our Cult and the Clan Leader of the Sound Clan, Hang Soyu. She will be conducting the first test," Lee Hameng announced.
Upon hearing this, Cheon Won Ryuh, watching from the background, felt a sense of pride. Hang Soyu was her Clan Leader and role model, and seeing her in this role filled her with smug satisfaction.
"For your first test, you must endure Sound Clan Leader Hang Soyu's sound waves for at least one minute to pass," Lee Hameng continued.
"You may begin, Sound Clan Leader," he said.
With a slight nod, Hang Soyu stepped forward and focused her gaze on the aspiring younglings.
"I will use a minimal amount of neigong so that you should be able to endure for a minute," she said, with a slight smile.
She began plucking her pipa gracefully, and if it weren't for the deadly neigong infused into her instrument, the performance would have been pleasant to the ear. However, it was far from pleasant.
At first, it was a mild annoyance, then a noisy buzz, and from there, it escalated into a dangerous barrage of low and high-frequency sounds.
People in the crowd started to feel discomfort, covering their ears in an attempt to block out the sound. However, it was futile.
The intensity grew stronger, and those with experience in neigong began circulating their energy to stay conscious.
Each wave of her pipa reached into their bodies, and after about half a minute, approximately one-third of the initial cadets had fainted to the ground.
"Why is Clan Leader's sound wave becoming more aggressive?" thought Cheon Mukuem, struggling to withstand the increasingly dangerous waves. He turned to look at Cheon Yeowun, who was standing unaffected and seemingly impervious to Hang Soyu's attacks.
His exclamation drew the attention of the remaining six heirs, and they saw Cheon Yeowun standing tall, completely unperturbed by Hang Soyu's sound waves.
"That guy!"
"He had neigong all along!"
"He's breaking the rules!"
"He knows martial arts!"
These thoughts raced through their minds simultaneously, with only Cheon Mujin having different thoughts.
"Oh, how envious. It would be so much better if I were allowed to kill him and steal the nanomachines."
"Ah, but I must honor my deal with God. I may be a scoundrel, but I take my deals seriously," Cheon Mujin thought with a hint of regret. He redirected his attention to Elder Hang Soyu and smirked, taunting her.
Elder Hang Soyu, however, was too focused on Cheon Yeowun to notice the mocking smile. Meanwhile, the Left and Right Guardians, Lee Hameng and Seob Meng, had detected something unusual.
"That kid, Cheon Mujin, isn't circulating his neigong at all."
"That should be impossible unless..."
"That would be absurd; there's no way he's already a grandmaster."
"He must be using a technique, but that should also be impossible. I can't detect any neigong movement within him at all."
These skeptical thoughts crossed their minds before they exchanged a meaningful look that silently conveyed, "Keep an eye on him."
