Chapter 10: Solo Travel

Coffee was sleeping earlier, The next moment as she heard my sneeze sound she rushed towards the portals. She is pretty interested in going out but I stop her by the hand sign.

"No! Not today, I was thinking of going solo today"

She was very obsessed with coming with me so she kept her stubborn. I tried to push her head and keep her in the dungeon but it was in vain, she could easily overpower me and she did in no time.

When I see no way to gain the upper hand with force I use my fake angry appearance with a strong voice to prevent her.

"Coffee, you are being too stubborn, recently you didn't even pay attention to my words. It is because I am weak now you don't love me anymore. your behaviour just now made me very sad."

My method works like always, She stops right before the portal and lowers her eyes avoiding glancing directly into my eyes as she is very ashamed of her action.

I laughed so hard right under my poker face after seeing her reaction however, slowly it started to get difficult to act sorrowfully in front of her especially when I was at the limit to contain my busting laugh.

I decided to react quickly before a calamity fell upon me. I patted her to encourage

"Don't worry I am not mad at you anymore. This is not a big deal, every cat can make mistakes but next time you should be more careful If I told you to stay in the dungeon then there must be a good reason for that."

But even after saying this her mood doesn't improve it seems like she takes my words into her heart.

Now I am regretting my actions, I should not have taken this too far. I have to find a way to fix her mood.

"Why are you looking so sad?

It seems like you misunderstood. why I am not taking you with me is not because I don't like your company rather it is because I don't want to show my powerful Coffee to anyone or they will run away instead of fighting and if I didn't fight how could I become strong just like you?

That's why I want you to stay here and rest a little if I get into trouble I am always counting on your help."

Instantly her mood turned over a new leaf she rubbed against my body to show her affection and to show how happy she was. I too welcomed it with open arms and fondly told her "Finally you are back to your usual cheerful self".

Now I can take off to my destination without any worries.

It took some time to convince Coffee, The chill time of dawn passed currently the sun was up in the sky and emitting its warm rays everywhere.

I look around carefully and then come out on the street but this time I stick around one side of the road without Coffee I don't dare to walk openly.

I also don't feel restful however, this is the only option left if I want to successfully collect considerable cores.

Sometimes being overpowered brings trouble. I am not that strong but Coffee is undoubtedly even having her on my side is also beneficial But like I already said earlier it can cause a disadvantage.

In my case, I desperately need a good amount of cores for the dungeon and my level to increase but if I take her with me it would be impossible I can tell since I already experienced it.

Zombies usually are dumb and idiot they don't even hesitate to throw life in vain.

A creature without a brain is not that wrong to say since its whole body is controlled by only sense instead of a brain, and because of that it can never satisfy its desire

However, like any other mutants, they have a natural instinct that allows them to feel fear from powerful individuals sometimes powerful mutants can even control them through this trial.

Unfortunately, it only works on the same mutant species not on humans no matter how strong they are. This explanation also applies to Coffee because of this, I didn't see zombies even after strolling in the middle of the street openly

Those three zombies earlier were the biggest ones from their idiotic species they were so busy feasting that they shut down sense until I revealed.

we already know the consequences of this but thanks to it I obtained cores and also figured out the cause of my concern and I am truly grateful for them being a significant fool.

I don't have to wait long for zombies my eyes catch them strolling across the street " Not too long I came out and I already started to see zombies which means I was right "

Since I am cautious they didn't notice me yet because of this they are not so active. I should take this opportunity to attack them fast.
