Chapter 17: Proper Meeting
The door was shut open and everyone inside looked at the worried adults rushing inside. The mood of the place seemed to dampen down. It got quiet and the faces of the people behind the counter were only confused. They kind of half ran to what seemed to be the reception and put Velios body on the counter. "Help him! Big battle! And they all. They died but he survived. Wound. Treat it! Don't let wound open!" The guy was completely gassed out and could barely stand straight, let alone talk properly. "Hey, hey, hey. Slow down there. Calm down and tell me what happened." The girl at the reception glanced over at Velios right in the back and the only thing she noticed was the big wound that was barely holding itself together. Her eyes almost rolled back before one of the other people behind the counter tapped her on the back. "We'll handle the rest from here. You can gather the rest of the information from these adventurers." The other three people working there present walked up to Velios body before walking into a door at the back. "If all of you are involved in this incident in any way, please follow me to the back of the guild where we can ask you questions about what happened."
Back outside the city, the two of them were almost done talking to each other in their short conversation. "What you did will remain unforgivable forever. But as the leader of my party, as the one responsible over all of them. I'll have to thank you for telling us about the injury." The criminal was death silent. Yotsuya remained unmoving and he already looked dead, even though he wasn't. As he was walking away from the criminal and back into the city, he heard words from Yotsuya. "We'll meet again. Sooner or later." The leader didn't think much of it as he continued towards the same building as the other guys. As soon as he had walked into the building, he noticed that something was wrong. The place was far too quiet compared to the usual lively building. He started looking around and all he saw was either scared or worried faces scattered across all of the adventurers. "What could have happened to that guy." and "Did you see that wound?" Was nearly the only thing you could hear. "Hey, you there. Where did the other guys who were here with that injured guy go." But he got no answer. The person he asked was holding his head and talking quietly to himself. "What could have happened to that guy? Hope that it's not me. Why did I ever play this game? I don't want to die..." The leader kept looking around but saw the same thing everywhere. After a while he finally saw one guy pointing at a door in the back to show him where they were but even as he left, the place remained the same as when he entered.
As the leader entered the room. He was met with greetings from all of the members and a bunch of staff members. As all of the members and party members were focused on him. They started asking him questions. "Are you supposed to be here, are you involved?" The other party members answered for him to confirm that he was the leader and they kept talking to each other about what happened in more detail, but from their view, it was most likely a monster attack and Velios was the only survivor of the incident. They guessed that it was some sort of attack that somehow went through his chest from one side to the other but as they talked more about all of it, it just felt like they got further and further away as more possibilities arrived every sentence. But in the midst of all the talking, no one had noticed that Velios had rosen up his body into a sitting position, taking in all of the information he had to process. His body was completely wrapped up in bandages and he was laying under a blanket. He moved his arms around, punching the air before trying to stand up to see if his body was mostly healed up, but as soon as he did, he felt how his energy was really low but all he wanted to do was to eat and train. "Hey, excuse me but where am I right now?" The previous receptionist turned around and screamed in horror when she saw Velios standing up completely fine. She was so shocked from seeing the previously injured guy now standing up looking all healthy as if nothing happened was too much for her as she passed out from shock and fell backwards before landing straight onto the wooden floor as no one caught her. "You, you, you. How are you awake?" Velios looked at him confused as to what he meant. "What do you mean? I'm only awake, nothing special about that." They all looked at him as if he was an idiot. "Now that you are awake, could you please tell us what happened to all of you?" Velios immediately became silent before putting on a smile again. "Before that, there is something I really have to do, so goodbye!" Velios walked past them and through the door. He also managed to cause major confusement as everybody in the building who saw him injured when he came in, now saw him all happy walking out the building looking like a completely normal and healthy person. "Now that no one is around, better go to that guy just because." Velios checked to see if anybody was around until he disappeared before reappearing right in front of Yotsuya. If he could, Yotsuya would normally at least jump up from Velios sudden appearance. "What are you doing here?" The criminal looked weirdly at Velios. "I'm here because of the crimes I committed, a death sentence as well." Velios walked around Yotsuya, observing him and his body. "That's not what I heard, I think people took it the wrong way huh? Poor you." The criminal looked up at him slowly with a look as if he had seen a ghost. "Who told you that? Because I'm sure no one in the city did." "It's obvious. I heard you say it." Velios had a subtle smirk on his face when he said that. "What do you mean? I have never talked to you." Velios crouched down to meet him face to face before continuing. "That is a good point. But I actually heard you talk to yourself about it. How you didn't kill them, how it was a misunderstanding, what actually happened." Yotsuyas face became even fuller with confusion. "How did you even hear that? That was like a full minute ago, you weren't even here and I was whispering to myself." Velios responded by only looking at him with a kind smile. "My name is Velios, nice to meet you."
