Chapter 29: Die for Lao zu

Ali opened his eyes slowly, for a few moments he couldn't see anything but darkness in front of him, but soon that all faded away and he could see the world a little clearer. His head was still feeling heavy as if someone placed a giant boulder over it and then told him to just sit there and endure. He tried to move to feel anything of his body, but all his senses were in a mess, except the heaviness and that headache he felt nothing within him.

"Is this what happens when the infection spreads till my head or something?" Ali thought as he moved his hand and placed it over his head. Though he did that, he felt no sensation of it. Not in his movement or not with that touch. Since he knew nothing about what happened with him, he could just blame it all on the zombie infection.

The great villain system, who had finally merged with Ali, so he doesn't die after the Darkness interfered in his affairs in the morning - saw that it's host was finally awake and it could rest easy now.

'So he still has a few hours huh.' System said after it did a full scan of his body again. Ever since Ali was bitten, it had been suppressing the effects of this infection in his body, stopping it from fully affecting his brain and turning him into a zombie - all to see if he was really worthy of being its host or not. Previously it could still have Ali suppress the infection for 3-4 days more, but with what happened back there, Ali would've died if the system didn't merge with him and save him. And now, with the way his body is, Ali would barely last another few hours and then he'd either die, or turn into a zombie just like everyone else.

But the system , who was basically forced to act, still wasn't satisfied with Ali. It wanted to know the limits of him, before it could show itself. So it stayed silent even now.

'Show me what you can do with your dying breath. How crazy can you be?'

System said and next second, it instantly teleported Ali to the place where Kiara and Liebe were living.

Ali, who was resting on the ground fighting with his pain, felt nothing. He just stared at the open sky which seemed a little brighter now, or was it. He wasn't sure.

His headache started to ease down a little soon and he could finally feel the wind hitting his face. Or the dust sticking to his hands.

He remembered what happened before he lost consciousness and suddenly jolted from the ground. Looking around he was in the middle of the road, instead of the basement or his apartment.

"Em _ Emily, " Ali muttered and looked around in a hurry. He wanted to shout, but his throat still hurt and he couldn't scream anymore.

As he took a look at his surroundings, he realized where he was.

"That's _ " Ali looked at the big building in front of him and was confused about what was happening.

'Did I really teleport here?' Ali thought, as he remembered about how he saw Kevin disappear in thin air and then Shashi, who went missing instantly too. "Or did I blank out and walk here on my own." He muttered confused.

But shaking his head about whatever it may be, he could think about them later. If he still remained sane enough to think afterwards.

He stood up and made sure he was right and wasn't imagining stuff. After moving forward a little bit, he could hear the sound of a few people talking inside that building.

"So you're here." Ali said, as he pulled out the gun from his waist and walked inside the building. With each step he took forward the amount of anger and hunger within him grew beyond limits.

If someone asked him to name the people he hated the most, Kevin would be on top of that list, and then the second name would be Kiara.

It was because of Kiara that everything happened. Everything that went wrong had her hand in it. Be it Shiva's death or Emilly getting bitten. Her betrayal and selfishness were the reasons for every suffering he went through.

And now he could finally punish her for it.

There were so many methods he wanted to torture her, so many methods he wanted to kill her. Every type of death he saw in movies, shows, games - that he could remember in his head, he killed Kiara in all of those ways.

And the more he thought about it, the more insane and twisted his mind became.

"Hey, who are you? How'd you get here?"

"Get out now or we'll throw you out."

"This building is ours now."

A few guards who were standing at the front of a gate came forward and tried to stop him.

But Ali just shot them all without even looking. He picked this gun from Kevin's office at their base, and it had 12 bullets inside. Four of them are gone now.

He had heard from the man he tortured at the school that there were 15 people here, except Kiara and Liebe.

The sounds of gunshots attracted the attention of everyone and the sound of hurried footsteps rang out behind the door. But Ali just ignored everything, he picked up the body of a man and threw it at the gate, the door opened and instantly the sound of guns firing echoed in the empty building.

People inside, shot the dead man without even looking. They were all too scared now. Just yesterday, they survived and ran for their life between the zombie horde, and now someone was here again today to kill them.

Ali just stood at a corner, waiting for the gunshots to stop and when it did he threw the second dead body in his hand inside. The same scene repeated again, but this time there were fewer gunshots. Obviously some of them didn't fall the same trick again.

"Who are you? Stop hiding and come out, if you don't want to die." Liebe's voice rang out loudly.

"Why don't you come out, Liebe? Or is hiding behind others is all you're good at." Ali said from the outside.

"Ali," Liebe muttered hearing his voice. "So you bastard is still alive huh. I thought you'd be dead like a dog after being bitten by those monsters." Liebe said, while signaling a few of his men to move forward silently.

"I won't die, before I kill you and your bitchy niece, Liebe." Ali said. "Tell me, is she here?"

"Why don't you come in and see for yourself." Liebe said, and watched as two of his man walked outside through the gate. As a third one was walking behind them, with a proper distance and side angle.

Yet just when they walked out, Ali jumped onto them, grabbing one of them by the arms while kicking the other one. The one, who followed behind them fired a few continuous shot, but only ended up hitting his own teammate. And when he started moving backwards to shoot, a bullet pierced his head and his body fell down.

Ali winced as he felt a shock on his legs, making him stumble. Looking at the side, he noticed the man whom he kicked away, swung his bat at his legs again.

Ali just moved his leg in the air, dudging the swing and before the man could do anything again, a bullet entered his chest and blood started gushing out nonstop.

As Ali moved forwards to kill the whimpering man, others inside the room came out and started shooting blindly everywhere. Ali ran out and jumped behind a pillar, trying to get some cover against the rain of bullets.

"Fuck you zombie"

Liebe, who was at the forefront, was like a maniac, his hair dancing wildly as he just kept his fingers pressed against the trigger. His eyes were closed as the reverse shock of every bullet hit his hand, making it go numb, yet he kept firing without even looking. He knew Ali would never let him go, as long as he was alive, and seeing him here now, he was really scared, if this bastard brought another horde of zombies to attack him. But fortunately this idiot came alone. "Die motherfucker. Die for Lao Zu."

I'll wrap everything up in another two chapters. And then we'll all be caught up and i can finally start Ali's counterattack with the system.
