Disclaimer: This review will not contain spoilers. Read at your own risk. Huhuhu! Writing Quality: 4.9/5 - Honestly, this is an exceptionally written novel by Hambino. There are next-to-no errors or mistakes, with some personal formatting disagreements (nothing wrong, each author has their own personal formatting flair.) It is easily read and nothing detracts from your reading experience. Stability of Updates: 5/5 - As a fresh novel, this is pretty much a mulligan, typically, but he is pumping out tons of chapters! Daily updates are important and he is taking his schedule seriously. Don't burn yourself out man! Story Development: 4.75/5 - We follow Ty as he stumbles across the supernatural and finds himself caught between a power struggle between the "Good" and "Evil." Vampires, Angels, Demons and Devils, and so much more, but despite that, Mr. Author has done an excellent job at crafting it in his own unique way. Character Design: 5/5 - The characters feel real and their interactions between one another are believable. The cast is growing and each one brings unique thoughts and perceptions that help the story progress naturally and their interactions don't feel forced. World Background: 5/5 - The world is well crafted and thoughtful as it continues to expand. The world seems expansive and I am excited to see the world continue to expand. His descriptive ability is amazing and draws you in. The vivid descriptions create a movie in your mind. Overall Score: 4.9/5 - Honestly, an amazing work and absolutely must read. It's no wonder that it is currently the novel with the most collections in the Oct & Nov 2023 WPC. 100% worth checking it out!

2nd book of this Author I’ve been reading and it started off much faster though not to fast and I cried a bit seeing Jade hold his body and not what I expected from a Skeleton Kings tragic backstory

Okay, so I have just finished reading chapter 250 so far, and I have a bit to catch up to where the Author is, but I feel this is a good spot to at least place my review. I do think the synopsis needs to be updated as it doesn’t really encompass the entire depth of this story, but it does it well enough right now. Over the first 250 chapters, we meet plenty of characters that will make you laugh, cry, and even hate some while you try to figure out their motives and why they are doing what they are doing. The system for this novel is unique and unlike others, and I believe it is being done well here but it will be important to keep an eye on to make sure it doesn’t ever get confusing, so each planet or universe has it’s own innate power system based on the crystals that are placed inside of the planet by whoever is in charge of the said universe it is taking place. At leas that’s what I got from it. So, for example, Earth has a crystal inside controlled by the Angelic race that locks all humans from using any type of magic. When our MC goes to the Demon Realm and goes to his first planet, the Demon King grows the planet to have a crystal that locks people into a certain ability by having them meet a requirement before they can use said ability. So it can be complex and cool, and I have enjoyed reading each planet's setup and uniqueness so far. The story is progressing at a good rate, but when the Author told me this would be over 1,000 chapters, I can believe him more now because there is still so much to explore and discover. But the main plot right now seems to be Ty getting back to the Human realm with unlikely support and unlikely people throwing a wrench at every turn while other events are going on. I think what I like most about the novel is that the cast of characters the author creates still have important events going on while the MC is doing MC stuff, and they matter. For instance, Jade, who I thought would just be the random minor character who’s the GF of our MC is actually a huge part of the story that I’m reading right now and it’s a fun read watching her awaken her power, and I can’t wait to see how it assists Ty later down the road.
I will be keeping an eye on this novel as it comes together . But after 10 chapters I can see an amazing story being painted again and I hope to see good growth along the way.I already find myself simping over Elithira and her demon esque vibe.
Sorry for the late review T^T Anyway, I want to say that the start of the book already had a huge impression on me. The main character, Ty (what a cool name), was relatable, which makes a book good! But overall, the writing style is great (which I greatly nitpick when I read a novel). Please keep up the good work and continue being great!
I was invited here to read some books and this was the first on my list. I have to say this story has been amazing so far and something I could have picked up at Barnes&Noblr. The world building is unique as you don’t see the dark evil people actually being the victims often and the story revolving around new York is a cool vibe. Keep it up Author.

Well, I guess I'm joining the Skeleton Army because I'm truly a fan of what I have read so far. writing quality is a 5/5 for me. Simple enough to grab but perfect and complex where it matters. Story development is well done as well as character design. It's set on the modern world, but the world building is still so nicely done. I'm definitely seated for more of this !!!

I adored reading this book it's sometimes hard to read e-books nowadays because of the writing or a little too confusing plot but this was different I loved the wording and visuals the book gave me a 10/10!

reading up to chapter 36 so far and it’s been a fast paced fun read. i look forward to reading the next chapter but since i have to wait till payday thought id drop a review. everyone feels human and the writer slows down enough to explore the inner thoughts of the MC and other characters but he doesn’t slow the pace down to where no plot is happening. maybe the plot is moving to fast even? but i’ve been enjoying the ride and every chapter brings love or hate for new characters. i can’t wait to keep reading and with 100 chapters so far i’ve found my book for the winter months. though this book is called rise of the Skeleton King, it’s much more than that i fell.
310 Chapters: I think it is time to review my thoughts after spending so much time writing and some expectations of the future. I would like to start first off with people who like to buy chapters in bulk and suggest against doing that; I have written a few filler chapters that are listed as (Filler Chapters). 157 166 171 202 203 These were written so I could give a bit of extra to the story while taking a break from the fast-paced plot progression, If you want to read these, you can, but they in no way affect the current story; they range of a flashback before Ty became a skeleton, Todd and Nanakos life before Ty arrived and a break of bonding as Ty learns more who King Griswald is. The main reason for this is I have read WNs where the plot will just stop for 4-5 chapters straight as the MC is doing the most mundane thing and I feel my coins were wasted. So doing this I hope to save you some coins :) As far as the story goes, I am happy with its progress after 310 chapters and feel that the pacing is fast. I am not the best English writer, so if you find any mistakes, please let me know. I run each chapter through Grammarly and ChatGPT4 just to check for spelling errors, Punctuation mistakes, and general grammar errors that can arise, as I can't afford a standard editor. Finally, the plot is fast-moving, with a lot of action between Ty and everyone involved. There are countless mysteries added to the story, some answered quickly and some taking longer to be revealed. I promise I will not forget any of the characters. For people who get to the locked chapters and directly after, more will come of that scene and that place around the 500 chapters, so look forward to that if you stick around for the long run. And speaking of the long run, after 300 chapters, you might be asking how far along the story is and how much longer it has to go. When I started, my goal was always 1,000 chapters because I had planned out a specific end goal for many characters, and I am still on track to meet that goal. Lastly, every chapter is anywhere from 1,100 to 1,600 words. I upload 14 to 16 chapters per week, and anytime there is a holiday like Christmas or New Year's, I will release a filler chapter to take some time off and enjoy family time. I will aim to make filler chapters fun, but I like to be transparent with my readers on what they can skip so they can save coins, and I can keep writing to appease the WN gods. But if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know below, and I will answer anything and everything I can. I also gave myself a 3 on writing as I am still learning as I go and can always get better.
