Chapter 15: Chapter 15 A jeaouls heart

Yuan Yuan sat in the hospital ward, seated close to Stacy's mother who was still recovering, she just kept on stealing glances of Aaron, something which did not escape Hayley's eyes.

She desperately tried to engage Aaron in a conversation, but he always seemed disinterested, cutting her off whenever she spoke. It was awkward and embarrassing for her, and she felt a surge of anger in her heart.

She had always envied Stacy's seemingly perfect life – loved by her parents and having a boyfriend. Yuan Yuan couldn't help but feel jealous, and she vowed to take whatever belonged to Stacy.

Memories from their school days flooded Yuan Yuan's mind. When Stacy had first started at their school, the girls had a habit of bullying new students.

However, Stacy's case was different. The girls instantly liked her, and she made an effort to befriend them. Stacy would give them gifts and goodies, which only fueled Yuan Yuan's jealousy.

She had always been the one who was always bullied even as a new student then and even now she always hides from them, she was so angered when she saw the special treatment Stacy got, what made her so special from that day on her jealousy only grew knowing no bounds.

One day, after school, Yuan Yuan found herself on the receiving end of the bullies' cruelty. They cornered her, dragged her towards the girls' restroom, and proceeded to beat her up, tearing her uniform.

They even filmed the entire incident, laughing and making fun of her. Yuan Yuan was left there, bruised and humiliated.

She sat down beside the toilet crying out her eyes, it was a pain that when she saw Stacy enter hatred filled her heart instantly.

Fortunately, Stacy entered the restroom and was shocked to see Yuan Yuan in such a state. She immediately rushed to help her, asking if she was okay. Stacy searched her bag and offered Yuan Yuan a spare uniform she always carried with her.

But instead of being grateful, Yuan Yuan pretended to be her friend. Deep down, she had already made up her mind to ruin Stacy's life and take whatever she desired.

Yuan Yuan snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Aaron's voice. He informed Stacy's mom that they needed to leave as it was getting late. "Thank you very much. Once I am well, I will invite you all for dinner at my house," Mrs. Feng said with a bright smile.

"Thank you, aunty, we will make sure to come" Jayden replied politely as they left. Yuan Yuan, on the other hand, saw that Aaron was leaving and decided to leave as well. She bid Mrs. Feng farewell and hurried away.

She needed to set her plans in motion and it was only going to work when she had his contact. She wouldn't let Stacy enjoy the goodies of life. While she suffered, Stacy was going to feel her pain.

Outside, she spotted them and she hurriedly walked up to them. "It's really nice to meet you guys, you know?" she said, trying to strike up a conversation. She kept on looking at Aaron as she spoke.

However, Aaron paid her no attention, neither did Hayley even bother sparing her a glance so it was Jayden who replied, "Yeah, it's nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you from my cute bunny."

Yuan Yuan's smile disappeared as she felt a pang of jealousy. She had never had friends who would go out of their way to meet her. She composed herself and smiled again"Yes, it is my first time seeing foreigners speak Chinese so well. I am so surprised that I couldn't believe it," she said, trying to impress them most, especially Aaron.

"Well, it's all thanks to our teacher," Jayden pointed at Hayley, who seemed to have a strange, old feeling about Yuan Yuan. Hayley gave Yuan Yuan a small smile, not fully trusting her intentions.

She always hated people who acted on pretense, it irritated her she wondered how Stacy hadn't seen through her facade.

"I would like to add you on WeChat if you don't mind. We could communicate better as friends of Stacy," Yuan Yuan said, hoping her plan to get Aaron's number would succeed.

Jayden, however, didn't see the hidden meaning behind her words. He simply thought she wanted to be friends. Unknown to him she was a wolf in sheep's clothing. "Oh, but we don't have WeChat yet. Why don't we exchange contacts?" he suggested.

Yuan Yuan smiled at him and quickly exchanged numbers. She was ecstatic that her plan was working. "I will call you guys later," she said, with a grin on her face she turned and left.

Hayley turned to Jayden, a touch annoyed, and pointed out, "Can't you see she was pretending just to get Aaron's number?".

Hayden, appearing confused, responded, "Nope, I think she's just cute." Hayley couldn't help but roll her eyes at his naivety.

"Can't you see she's being pretentious, trying to get on Aaron's good side? Anyway, we all know that Aaron only has eyes for Stacy." She walked ahead of him leaving him alone with his dumb brain.

Jayden remained puzzled. "What did I do?" He walked up to Aaron, placing his hands on his shoulders. However, Aaron shrugged him off with a cold, "Dumbass," before walking away.

Jayden looked around, still perplexed, and muttered, "What's their problem?"
