After hearing the idea, the village chief nodded his head and permitted them to continue, he also let some strong people from his village to help the team.
Raurrrr…. Shaaaaa….
The unfamiliar and strange sense and sound of cold air started to flow which caught An Jiaxin's ears.
"It's now! They are coming, prepare for this, everyone!" An Jiaxin was focused on lighting the fire up, so Mo Xuan picked up the leaf flute and cast the signal around the whole silent village.
The sound was getting closer and closer, sweat bids formed on An Jiaxin's forehead as she did her best to focus on the direction.
Crackle… crackle… crackle…
The sound of fire burning the straws got stronger quickly as soon as An Jiaxin lit the fire.
Eventually it was spreading in a line with a rapid fast motion, creating a fire circle around the whole village.
All the players were working in sync as they tried their best to keep the fire lit, and even trying their best to ignite them up till seventy eighty meters.
If you see the village from a distance, people will think that the whole village was caught up in the fire, but An Jiaxin maintained the safe distance necessary for keeping the fire.
When An Jiaxin and Mo Xuan were busy with fire, there was constant commotion happening within other teams.
"Hey, don't you think… something is strange?"
"Yeah, it seems as if… the darkness has turned even more dangerous."
"You see, as if someone is covering up the sky with another veil of darkness..."
"Hush! Don't talk, I have a bad feeling."
"Why the hell did we actually come here? To die?"
"Sniff… sniff… wooo…" Some of the girls started to cry out of nowhere.
"I don't know if I can really go back, I didn't have to bid goodbye to my family… "
"I have a wife and a child left behind."
"My Mom is probably waiting for me to come back and eat dinner."
"Will we really die here?"
"That seems to be the case."
"Don't talk nonsense! Did I ask you?"
"You are the one who is talking nonsense! Useless brute!"
"You! How dare you call me brute? Aren't you just a pig?"
"I'll kill you!"
And some of them were getting exhausted by solving the near fight against each other.
"Hey guys, don't fight with each other. If we don't save energy, we can't make it up tonight."

With this reminder, the deadly silence filled the air once again.
Waiting for the sun to rise up in the sky, this dark night seemed to be unnecessarily long. Everyone was getting anxious with countless thoughts appearing within their minds, that's why they were losing their patience shortly.
The endless anxiety didn't seem to have any intention of fading away.
Within the commotion, suddenly a gust of strong wind approached in the middle of nowhere, which made them have shivers run down their spines.
"It's starting, everyone, take your position!"
Even within the endless anxiety and dark abyss, they always live a tiny ray of hope. And they didn't wish to wash it away, nor did they wish to kneel down and accept their fate.
The sound of fire started to get even bigger and bigger, as if something was getting roasted within.
Buzz... Buzz... Buzzz...
Crackle… Crackle… Crackle…
A howling sound surrounded the players, as if thousands of people were crying out in pain.
Some of the peats fell inside of the fire circle after getting burned like a roasted meat.
An Jiaxin picked up one of them as she examined it at close range.
"Looks like the locusts truly did attack, it's not much… just your average insects. How did it even evaluate into a man-eating monster?"
Mo Xuan didn't show that much of an expression as he took one of them as well.
"Maybe, it's one of the system evaluations?" An Jiaxin narrowed her eyes with suspicion as she tried to read Mo Xuan's expression.
"You are smart enough to grasp it quickly." the corners of his mouth rose slightly as he played with the locust, staring at An Jiaxin with interest.
An Jiaxin turned her head down towards the locust quickly, avoiding his gaze for some reason.
"What a waste of time, we can't save the plants and forests outside the village though." An Jiaxin made random speeches by herself while lighting the fire even more.
The sound of roasting was growing even more, almost putting the fire down, but An Jiaxin's methods of raising the fire up was incredible, enough to save the village the whole night.
"Well, is it something edible? We can't give out all the supply we have, and I can't bear to go on a hunger strike either."
As soon as her words fell, An Jiaxin heard a noise of crunching over something from aside.
Munch, munch, munch…
"..."
'What the hell?'
An Jiaxin expression changed one after another as she gaped at Mo Xuan, who was munching over the fried locust without moving.
Slap!
"Hey! What do you think you are doing? What if it affects you?" She slapped Mo Xuan's hand, screaming and staring at him with wide eyes full of disbelief.
"Hmm? Tasting if it's edible?" Mo Xuan just shrugged her off like it was a trivial matter, and that she didn't need to be concerned about it.
"Who told you to taste it? What if it's something poisonous?" An Jiaxin really didn't understand his way of thinking.
"It's not like I will annoy you to take care of me, It doesn't seem to be something life threatening." Mo Xuan said with a nonchalant expression, which made her worked up.
"Even so…! It's not something like a wild insect that you can eat without any worries! It's a damn man-eating locust!" She screamed out even more loudly as she looked up at Mo Xuan, who seemed to be completely emotionless.
'Damn! He doesn't think about himself!'
Fine, forget it! If he doesn't take care of himself then he can suffer for all I care!
