Chapter 7: Blessing
"Huh!?" Jiho exclaimed in shock. He found something shocking on the forums which was not to be expected of him.

These were the stats of a starter assassin in the game but Jiho found it extremely weird. He couldn't call it a fake either as it was the official Ascension forum.
He had to find a reason behind his high stats which did not match the stats given in the forum.
After searching for 10 minutes, he found an interesting forum that was official.
[BLESSED]
[Blessed ones inherit their stats from real life to-in-game!]
Just a simple line answered his question. He thought that anyone could inherit their stats from real life but now, he was proven wrong and it turned out that only the Blessed ones could do that.
But another question formed in his mind. "Am I a blessed one?" He wondered.
"A,h whatever, I should just take advantage of it and rise before others." He decided to use his status as a blessed one to beat all the players around him and rise above them.
He once again lay down on the bed and put the headset on.
"Ascend!" He shouted and the next moment, he found himself standing at the same place he had logged out.
He looked around and found nothing impressive. He replaced the current copper dagger with the newly bought steel dagger and put on the assassin's cloak.
The assassin's cloak had an amazing effect that would hide his presence for a few seconds. There was a 1 minute cooldown every time he used the skill but the skill was already overpowered so this was to be expected.
He could easily kill many enemies in a few seconds, taking his current stats into account.
He headed to the forest and arrived there after 10 minutes.
His agility and stamina did affect his body. He could now run a lot faster than before and he was not tired at all.
He decided to use his hide-and-kill technique and climbed up a tree.
He spotted an adult wolf which was at level 6.

This was a good opportunity for him to gain XP. The wolf would probably give him 100 XP as it was a high-level monster.
They had heightened senses so it was barely trying to track the assassin hidden in the trees.
Jiho decided to try out the Assasin's cloak. He activated the skill and he suddenly became invisible.
'Cool!' He thought to himself.
He took out the steel dagger and rushed at the wolf which was still unaware of the hidden assasin.
*Stab!*

The wolf instantly dropped dead on the ground as its head was pierced by the sharp steel dagger.
Jiho now felt overpowered. He was easily killing level 6 monsters in one shot.
He found another wolf which was also level 6. He didn't hesitate and instantly killed the wolf with ease.

He had leveled up once again, this was getting fun. He opened his interface to distribute the stat points.

Now his strength, agility, and stamina had the same amount of points, making them balanced.
He added 5 points to strength, and 5 to vitality as health was important to survive in battles.
He also noticed that his Health Points did not increase by 5 but 10 this time. "Maybe because now I am level 6?" He concluded.
He swiftly picked up the drops.

He decided to hunt till he reached level 1 because getting ahead of everyone was a good advantage. He won't have to worry even if he plays less than others if he is already at a high level.

After 1 hour of grinding, he finally managed to reach level 9, but it was super hard to get to level 10 now.
"Interface," he uttered in a weary voice, his fatigue evident on his face.
The interface panel materialized before him, and he was relieved to see the allocation of stat points available to him.

With a sigh, Jiho invested all his stat points into his attributes. He was exhausted and eager to see his progress

He put 10 points to his strength, 5 to agility, 10 to stamina, and 5 to vitality. This drained all of his stat points but they were put to good use so he had no complaints.
His energy was recharged again. He was ready to hunt to get to level 10 but his eyes bled just looking at the XP needed to level up.
He decided to take it slowly and started his hunting spree once again.
He continued for another 30 minutes before a wild roar came from the inner forest.
Jiho looked in the direction where the roar came from and instantly backed off the next moment.
"What in the world...!?"
