Chapter 2: Trauma Everyday is Insane.

"When do you plan to change this old thing you call a car?" Eloise who sat beside Leah in the front passenger seat asked as she turned to slightly face Leah who was concentrated on driving.

"Never! I'm never changing Elizabeth yo! And besides, where the heck do I find the money to buy a new car? You should know better..." Leah responded with a click of her tongue while throwing a side glare at Eloise.

"Okay, whatever. But can you at least try driving a bit faster? We have an order to deliver in an hour"

"Nope, I told you, my Elizabeth can't be stressed, she's too delicate," Leah responded.

Seeing the love and admiration in Leah's eyes as she talked about her old car named Elizabeth left Eloise in disbelief, not that she was shocked but was still trying to get used to it.

"You never looked at me with those eyes, how can I be jealous of this old thing, I'm so done with you." Eloise sighed at the end.

"You bet. Uhh...can you please tie up my hair? It's getting in the way, I can't see properly." Leah asked while not removing her gaze from the road and Eloise nodded, she used a hair tie which she found inside Leah's small bag and tied up Leah's lengthy black and green hair.

The city's road was filled with cars of different types and sizes and colours, zooming off at the appropriate speed.

But a certain Elizabeth, blue in colour, stood out among these cars, aside from the noticeable way it moved slowly, it also made a unique sound while letting out thick smoke.

However, a few minutes later, Elizabeth could be seen but this time it was going in the opposite direction which it came from.

Inside the car was a noticeably dull atmosphere as both ladies held a downcasted look which shows their delivery wasn't a successful one.

"Her rejection was way harsher than any rejection we've ever received." Leah broke the silence.

"You are right but maybe if this car had moved a lot faster, she wouldn't have been that harsh." Eloise pointed out, not forgetting to call out Elizabeth for her incompetence.

"Yo, leave her out of this. It's not about what time it was delivered, it's about what was delivered. Maybe if you had sold better clothes..."

"She didn't even bother trying them on, how wicked." Eloise snorted while Leah held a worried frown.

"Yeah, but let's not let her get to us. Next time would be better, I tell you." She left a light pat on Eloise's thighs.

"Whatever." Eloise simply responded but deep down she knew next time would never be better, it had always been this way for them for a year.

Their clothes delivery was never a good one and whenever they had a bad time, they would try to reassure themselves 'next time will be better' but it's never happening.

It only gets worse.

After Eloise resigned from being an actress, she had opted to sell clothes online and she had hoped with her little influence, things would work out but of course, it never did.

"Yo, how about we stop by for a drink?" Leah questioned, interrupting Eloise from her thoughts.

But Eloise wasn't as enthusiastic as Leah, she inhaled and exhaled loudly before responding, "It's too early to be out drinking, let's just go home."

"Hey, don't be like that. The only way we can heal from today's trauma is by drinking away our sorrows."

"Pfft! Trauma? Isn't that too deep?" Eloise let out a low laugh while staring outside through the car's window and occasionally throwing glances at Leah.

"Yo, any day's bad luck is always traumatic for us," Leah responded, her voice laced with so much amusement. One couldn't tell what was on her mind.

"Considering how every day for us is filled with bad luck, how are we still sane?" Eloise asked in response, the question directed at nobody in particular.

"Because we are strong women that would never give up on our dreams." Leah had a small smile after she completed her words.

"But I did." By this time, the little smile on Eloise's face had now vanished, leaving a trail of regret and anger and something else.

"Huh?" Leah asked, she briefly turned to look at Eloise and turned back to concentrate on the road. It seems she didn't catch up on what Eloise said.

"Never mind. Find the nearest bar. I'll just listen to you this once and we will drink away our sorrows." Eloise finally agreed to Leah's advice. She then laid back on the chair and closed her eyes while letting out a low sigh.

"Yo! That's it, girl! Woohoo!" Leah cheered, already feeling excited about getting drunk.

They found a nearby bar and quickly ordered a few bottles of beer after they had settled down on a table. The bar looked a bit empty and was cold, it had few workers considering how not many customers were present at the moment.

Leah took a huge sip from her cup of beer and made a loud sound through her throat.

"Hey, I tell you, once we are drunk, we won't be miserable anymore. Haha!" She laughed like today had been blissful from the start.

"Are you not already drunk yourself?" Eloise took a small sip from her glass after she asked.

But Eloise waved her hands in the air, "with just one glass? No way."

"You do sound drunk though."

"Nope, I'm just trying to prepare the mood, haha!"

They both turned quiet as they sipped except for the occasional 'argh' and burping sound coming from Leah every now and then.

But their table was the only quiet one. Eloise looked around and noticed that only two tables were full inside the bar, one was theirs with only two people but the other table was obviously full with about six people and was also noisy.

'They seem happy.' Eloise thought as her ears drank in the sound of their loud laughter and chatting.

However...

"Eloise?" Her name was called from the other table. Did somebody from there know her?

With a frown, Eloise turned and quickly saw someone seated among the others, the person was smiling and waving at her.

And that was when Eloise recognized who it was.

'You wench,' she cursed under her breath.
