Chapter 64: Yomi and Ryota vs Chunins

When they were running toward the location, a firewall came from their front, it was sudden and very fast the genins were not even able to react on time, but the chunin were veterans so they quickly made an earth wall to save themself but the fire was so strong that it was able to burn them from the surrounding of the wall
All chunin and jonin used body flicker to evade the firewall, though some of them were slightly burned but could still fight while Jonin were relatively unharmed as they were able to react faster than chunin only genins were the ones who took most damage
Most of them were very badly injured if not dead, just when they were about to come out of the shock of the attack, many range attacks like fireballs, wind blades, earth bullets, and water bullets came in their reaction
Jonins sensed the danger and quickly made earth walls around the team, but one of the chunin was unlucky and was out of the range of the earth wall, before he could move or do anything a wind blade slashed his head after which his body was penetrated by many bullets
The rest of his teammates didn't have time to mourn his death, as they were busy trying to save their

"Disperse in a batch of two and search for the enemy" as it was difficult to fight while protecting his teammates

Just after that all of the enemy ninjas dispersed in a different direction , Yukihiro looked toward them and said
"There are only chunin and jonin left in enemy ranks, Ryota and Yomi you will take care of the chunins, try to stall for time no need to take any risk since all of them are dispersed take one batch at a time
I will try to end my fight as fast as I can and come to your aid,
As for Kaida, you have to face a ninja at jonin rank, don't try anything dangerous and just stall for time as much as you can,

All of them nodded, Yukihiro then pointed in the direction where the enemy ninjas were
Ryota and Yomi used body flicker jutsu and went toward the chunins, while Kaida went toward the jonins

Ryota and Yomi both knew that they were still genin, even though they had killed some chunins before it, but most of the time it was 2 vs 1
That to when Yukihiro was always ready to protect them even if they made some mistakes, but this time It was different, not only the fight be 2 vs 2, but they would die on their single mistake
They looked at each other and it was clear that they had to look for the safety of each other, otherwise, they would die
"Yomi I will focus more on close combat, though I am not sure that I can stall 2 chunin alone for long, so try to deal with one of them from a long distance as fast as you can," Ryota said
"Okay but don't be reckless if you feel that you can't handle them alone, fall back we only have to stall for a time remember," Yomi said
"Okay, are you ready buddy," Ryota said while looking toward Kiba
*bark* Kiba also understood the gravity of the situation
They used body flicker jutsu and appeared on the tree Yukihiro had pointed
2 chunin were on the ground fully active, Ryota and Kiba directly jumped toward them, without making any noise
In both of his hands were kunai, chunins on the ground felt some danger and evaded in the nick of time, In the end, it looked like Ryota's attack failed but just as they were evading the surprise attack, Ryota threw his kunai in their direction
Both of them used their kunai and deflected the second attack but unfortunately, Ryota was not the only one attacking them
Yomi charged her shuriken when Ryota jumped for the first surprise attack, and when the ninja evaded Ryota's first attack she threw the shuriken in the direction of their leg
She could have gone for the head but Yukihiro had taught them that ninjas with some experience generate a sixth sense that responds to attacks that may be deadly for them, so in every surprise attack go for small but critical damage as
In fast-paced fights, small hindrances can be very deadly
When the ninja blocked Ryota's kunai the shuriken got embedded in their legs,

and since they were charged with lightning chakra the attack paralyzed them for a fraction of a second
Ryota didn't miss this opportunity and fired many earth bullets in their direction,
After just 1 minute both enemy ninjas were critically injured their hands were unusable because of earth bullets and water bullets and their legs were in critical shape because of shuriken
Not willing to give any chance to them Yomi used body flicker jutsu and appeared behind them and in one clean slash, their head was on the ground
Ryota and Yomi took a breath of relief, but suddenly Kiba started barking, Ryota turned to Yomi and both of them used body flicker jutsu to run
Just as they used body flicker jutsu the place they were standing was bombarded with several kunai and shuriken and even some earth bullets
"Shit all 4 of them are on our backs, we don't have a chance now let's run away till Kaida and Yukihiro sensei complete their fight
And wait for the opportunity to handle these four if we get any chance" Ryota said
"Okay," Yomi said but she was already thinking of running away like Kaida said the only thing stopping her was that she didn't want to leave Ryota and Kiba alone
Also, the situation was not that bad, they had already killed 2 chunin and now they only had to stall for time which was doable since for 1 month straight they had been practicing using body flicker jutsu as efficiently as possible
