Chapter 3: UNKNOWN OBJECT
Eight hours before the apocalypse.
The next day.
*** Ring! Ring! Ring! ***
"…"
The voice of the phone alarm loudly rang, waking Li Xiaowu, who was sleeping quietly.
"Uhh..."
Li Xiaowu opened his eyes after getting annoyed with the sound of the alarm. He woke up from his bed sheet with a lazy feeling.
He turned off the alarm sound and looked up on his smartphone.
'7:30 A.M.'
"Still early…"
"I'm going to do some jogging first before the class."
After he mumbled to himself, he tidied up the comforter and placed it on his pillow.
Li Xiaowu stretched his body, and then he went to get a bath.

Some minutes later…
* Kachik! *
Li Xiaowu goes out of the bathroom with a bathrobe on his body while rubbing his wet hair with a white towel.
He went to the closet and changed to a black jogging outfit.
Afterward, he combed his black hair with hair gel while looking in the mirror.
"Done."
He said to himself shortly.
Li Xiaowu wears the brand OLEVS's mechanical watch in a dark blue-gold colour.
After that, he went out of his room.

In the living room, Li Xiaowu eats some fresh bread that he got from the refrigerator in the kitchen. He was sitting on the chair and scrolling his smartphone while looking at the latest news.
'TRENDING: UNKNOWN OBJECT WERE SEEN ON THE SKY.'
'NEWS TODAY: SUSPICIOUS OBJECT!'
'ARCHEMISTRY ONLINE: RELEASE A NEW UPDATE VERSION.'
"Hmm…The news…"
Li Xiaowu clicks on the first news to read more on it.
'TRENDING: UNKNOWN OBJECT WERE SEEN ON THE SKY.
[ Shanghai: An unknown object was seen in the sky by the civilian that accidentally saw it, report by the LIVE TV MEDIA...….]
"Hmm…guess I will read it later."
Feeling too lazy to read more about the news, Li Xiaowu rose from his seat and went to the rack of shoes. He wears black sports shoes and goes out of his house.
This house is a rented house where he lived for a while until he finished his studies. He only lives alone in this house because he doesn't have any relatives nearby or close friends to sit with.
After he locked the house door, Li Xiaowu went out to his motorcycle and started the engine. He rides his motorcycle to the nearby park around his home.

Ma'anshan Forest Park.
"Pant, pant."
Li Xiaowu jogged at the Ma'anshan Forest Park, which is not too far away from Huazhong University and his house. He found it was odd because there were not many people around. Basically, many people always jog at this park.
However, today, not many people he knew passed by him.
"I felt that something was off today. It's weird…"
"….."
Li Xiaowu jogged with a feeling of worry and anxiety. He tried to focus on his running.
"Pant, pant."

After he finished his jog, he bought a can of cold mineral water from the vending machine using the money he had brought. He uncapped the bottle and proceeded to drink it out of thirst.
"Ah, very fresh."
Li Xiaowu said while looking at his watch.
'8:40 A.M.'
"Time to go to class, I guess."
Li Xiaowu's lecture class started at 9:00 A.M.
Then, Li Xiaowu threw the plastic mineral bottle into a nearby trash can. He headed towards the motorcycle he had placed earlier.
He started the motorcycle engine while wearing the helmet he had brought.
As soon as he did that, he continued to ride his motorcycle at high speed to go home.

After he got home and unlocked the house's door, Li Xiaowu took off his sneakers and put them on the shelf.
He headed towards his bedroom and changed into more formal clothes for class. He wore a white shirt and black trousers with a red tie.
As soon as he finished preparing himself, he took his black bag and headed to the living room of the house. He went to the shoe rack and opened it, then took out a pair of black shoes.
After he did all those things, he went out to his house and locked the door.
Li Xiaowu headed to his beloved blue motorcycle and proceeded to start it. He backed up his motorcycle and rode it at a high speed, leading to the university.
