The security guard, eyes wide, slowly turned back and as soon as he saw who it was, he began to shake. Nina also looked and felt the security guard's hand, which was holding her, loosen. He released her, and she took a few steps back, disconcerted, moving her shoulders and shaking her arms, trying to relax her tense and sore muscles.
Nina looked back at Dominic and noticed that his eyes were fixed on her.
She looked to the side and saw the lady walking past her and taking the security guard's arm, who looked scared and cornered.
Dominic gave the lady a brief nod, and she walked on, taking the security guard away. He didn't protest and Nina was curious about the scene, wondering how a mature woman, smaller than that brute, could command so much respect.
But Nina couldn't see where she was going, as she felt Dominic's hand holding her arm. Unlike other people who treated her harshly, his grip didn't hurt. His hand was firm, but at no point did it cause him any discomfort.
Dominic walked firmly, pulling Nina by the arm, while the surrounding people made way, surprised to see billionaire Dominic Bright stepping onto that floor, where she never walked. The receptionist spotted him from the counter, standing up with wide eyes as she saw the woman she treated with disdain being led away by the billionaire.
Dominic continued walking with firm steps, without looking around, until he reached his elevator. He pressed the button, and the doors opened, allowing him to enter, pulling Nina along.
The situation resembled the previous day when the two were trapped in the elevator. However, now the situation was even more uncomfortable. Dominic didn't let go of Nina's arm. She felt her hand let out brief spasms from time to time.
He didn't look at her. He looked straight ahead, with an expression of few friends.
Dominic felt a wave of anger and indignation when she saw Nina being held by security in the same way Samuel had hurt her. As soon as he saw the image from the camera in the main hall of the building, he immediately called Mrs. Patel and, instead of letting her resolve the situation, he decided to go down the floors and look for Nina.
He felt like she was actually in pain due to the way security was squeezing her arm, right where Samuel had been squeezing it before. The way he saw her being treated made him even more angry.
They went up all the floors like that and Nina thought about protesting, but when she thought better of it, she thought she should leave things as they were, as she was in that place to meet him and at that exact moment they were going to his office.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, the receptionist was startled. Seeing Dominic leave there like a hurricane, dragging Nina.
His eyes widened as he watched the two walk past him. As she let herself be pulled, Nina smiled at him and waved.
Dominic entered his office and, surprising Nina, he lifted her, placing her sitting on top of the desk.
He brought her face closer and that perfume with citrus and floral notes, which strangely wasn't sweet, penetrated her nostrils, causing a wave of sensations in her body.
His face was close to hers, and he was watching her with furrowed eyebrows. Nina swallowed, not knowing what to do in that situation.
Dominic had a beautiful, exotic face, honey-colored skin and ice-blue eyes. His hair was very dark and shiny, his jaw was square and his lips were thin. His nose was straight, European style. Nina was 1.75 meters tall, but he could cover her with his 1.96 meters. His athletic body was visible in the tailored suit..
She lost herself, watching that handsome man like a Greek god, who was so close.. He was attractive, but she truly only wanted the job, her mind only had one goal, to be able to pay for her daughter's treatment, she had no room for any other desire other than that.
Suddenly, she felt his hand rest on her shoulder, which made her eyes widen even more. He no longer looked at your face, but at where your hand was.
Despite feeling a strange familiarity with his presence, Nina felt uncomfortable with him touching her.
Then she tried to move her shoulder, signaling him to remove his hand, but instead of removing it, he stuck his hand inside her blazer and pulled down the sleeve.
— Wait? No! What are you doing? — she protests.
— Be quiet! — he says and continues, without caring about the protest.
He ends up taking off his blazer and looks at his arm, seeing the purple marks caused by Samuel.
Dominic snorts, and then takes out her cell phone and puts it to her ear and says:
— Mrs Patel, you have already sent Samuel's watch.
— Just yesterday, Dominic. — responds Patel
— He told me that someone had stolen it...…
— Said that girl stole, right?
— Patel, arrange this!
— Do you want someone to steal it?
Dominic doesn't respond and hangs up. But Patel had worked with him for many years and already knew his intentions well.
