Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Family
Weeks pass just like that and they hanged out with Momoyo's group a couple of times a week.
But Momo's frustrations that landed on her so-called minions had a reaction and Shouichi challenged her for the position of boss.
"It's time to rebel! I will take you on and be the boss now!" Shouichi stood tall against the tyrant and Momoyo raised a brow.
"Shouichi, you think you can beat me?" Momoyo snorted and the trio were just watching while eating some seasalt ice cream.
"Momoyo underestimates Shouichi's determination. He's like Mikado, a free spirit." Ronin commentated.
"Well, let's see what will happen." Aka shrugged while Miyo didn't care one bit.
"Take this! Ugyah!" Shouichi got kicked away by Momoyo when he lunged at her for a sucker punch.
"Hmph, just give up. I'm the boss here, and you're my minion." Momoyo snorted.
"That changes now!" Shouichi kept on standing up even though he was being ragdolled by Momo.
And after an hour of continuous beating, the fire in his eyes did not die out.
"Hah, hah, I'm going to be the boss! No matter what!" Shouichi shouted.
"Why? Why do you keep on standing? You're no match for me." Momoyo was perplexed.
"Nee-sama... Don't you think that this is enough?" Kazuko was worried for the brunette.
"You always just drag us around, making us train for your goals! We're not your slaves! So I'll fight to end your reign of terror!" Shouichi slowly charged at her.
Momoyo hit him one last time, but she sobered up right after that.
"So you thought like that huh?" Momoyo reflected and she put herself in their shoes.
It was just like what Tesshin would do. Force her to train when she just wants to laze around and drink some peach juice.
"Okay... I'll step down as the leader. But I'll still be the second in command." Momo sighed.
"Hmm, as expected of miss second. Your determination lost to Shouichi." Ronin commented from the side.
"You! Shut up!" Momoyo glared daggers at him and Shouichi dropped down with a smile.
"What will be the name of our group then?" Yamato brought up an important facet of their new dynamic.
"H-how about the Kazama family?" Kazuko suggested. Shouichi is their new boss now after all.
"What do we call Shouichi then?" Moro raised and Gakuto had an idea.
"How about capt? As in captain?" Gakuto was proud of his idea and they actually agreed.
"Hmph, just keep us out of your little family." Aka didn't want them to be part of their silly group.
"What!? But you guys are our friends." Kazuko gasped.
"Friends huh? Then we'll be the allies of the Kazama family. The Kuki famiglia." Ronin announced and the twins were satisfied with their cooler name.
"Hey... That sounds more cool than Kazama family. Can we change our name?" Gakuto sheepishly asked.
"Kuu! It is much cooler. But we won't change it anymore. That's what we decided and we should stick with that." Momo huffed.
"See you later then, Kazama family. Led by miss second and Shouichi." Ronin waved flippantly as they walked away.
"Tch, that guy pisses me off." Momoyo glared at him. But she was happy that they didn't deny that they were their friends.
She considered them as her equal, and Shouichi was the only one that had that privilege. Which he earned just now for being a man.
__School__
The class that was a year lower than Ronin's was in an uproar. Miyako was supposed to take care of the aquarium.
But the power died out and the fish died due to the cold temperature of the night. As the heater also died.
"It's because of the Shiina virus! She's cursed, that's why the fishes died." A child started and Miyako was getting bullied again.
"I... I didn't do it." Miyako tried to defend herself, but she still lacked courage. And the pressure of being under scrutiny didn't help as well.
"That's what the one responsible would say." A girl huffed at her and they jeered at her once again.
"Heh, it's a success. This whore will seduce Ronin-kun like her dirty mother." A group of girls whispered together.
Miyako could only look down and grit her teeth. Almost breaking into tears.
__After school__
Miyako was burying the fish that died due to the power getting cut and a few kids walked up to her.
"Guys, this is a bad idea..." Gakuto who was friends with the bullies were about to give Miyako a piece of their mind.
"Oi, Shiina. You're cursed, the fishes must've died due to your gloominess." The lead bully started.
"Yeah, gloomy Shiina with the Shiina virus due to her slut mother!" They jeered at her and Miyako just continued praying for the fish.
"Oi, you listening!? You should just kill yourself and stop bothering everyone!" One of them pushed Miyako to the dirt and she broke down.
Crying due to the bullying that she endures every day.
"Leave me alone!" Miyako shouted, but they kept on telling her to kill herself.
"Guys, stop!" Gakuto was getting nervous and he felt a spine chilling aura.
"I guess children don't know when to quit." Ronin's cold voice resounded.
"We're not afraid of you!" The bullies stood up to him.
"You should be." Ronin combined some glass shards in the sand and threw it at their eyes.
Bullying was to be expected from some brats. But telling someone to kill themselves was going too far. And he'll teach them a lesson for it.
"Ahh my eyes!" They all cried out in pain and Ronin squinted his eyes at Gakuto.
"You should've protected her, your parents would be ashamed of you." Ronin announced with an icy tone and Gakuto gritted his teeth for his indecisiveness.
"Did you get it in tape?" Ronin asked the twins and they nodded.
"Give them a social death, spread it around in the internet and give it to the press as well." Ronin snorted.
"A social life filled with ridicule, combined with being blind. How about you suffer deaths while still being alive?" Ronin said coldly as he helped Miyako up.
"Stand up, I told you. Chin up and fight back." Ronin glared at her.
"I... I'm sorry." Miyako shrunk back, thinking that he was disappointed in her.
"Don't be sorry, be better. There's still a next time." Ronin dusted her off and they went on their way.
__Kuki estate__
Tsubone sighed as she looked at Ronin and the twins that were not affected by her stern state at all.
"Why did you blind them?" Tsubone sighed as she gave up in trying to intimidate them.
Only Hume and Tesshin can make them shudder. She won't be able to intimidate the trio at all.
"They told a girl to kill herself for something that was set up to paint her as a bad person. Children might be stupid, but you should always live your life with honor and dignity. I do not believe in second chances." Ronin said with finality.
'Hah, they don't have second chances with their lives after all... But what should I do?' Tsubone cursed that Mikado wasn't there.
"Please do try to give foolish people a second chance Ronin-sama. Everyone can change. Fool me once, shame on you. But fool me twice, then shame on me." Claudio tried to impart his knowledge.
"I guess, but telling someone to kill themselves for something minor deserves no mercy." Ronin agreed with Claudio.
After all, they received a second chance due to Mikado. And their view about the world was cutthroat. And punishments meant being crippled or death.
So they put it behind them for now and due to Ronin's foresight, the Kukis weren't embroiled in a scandal.
Instead the parents of the bullies were blamed as the ones who were the root cause of everything.
The bullies were expelled as Miyako pointed at them one by one. But she didn't implicate Gakuto due to him trying to at least stop them.
Though his mother and father beat the shit out of him for being a bully against Miyako.
The Shiina family was notorious for the mother of the house being a whore after all. And not the type that gets paid.
So the parents pitied Miyako's situation in her home.
__The Field__
The Kuki Famiglia was hanging out with the Kazama family in the field once again.
Though there was another addition to their group, Miyako.
Shouichi invited her to come with them while Miyako stalked Ronin and his group.
"So, guys. Let's welcome Miyako to our group!" Shouichi shouted and the gloomy girl went wide eyed.
"How about the Shiina virus?" She asked in disbelief.
"Are you an idiot? What's a Shiina virus?" Momoyo looked at her like she was stupid.
"Uhhh, Miyako. Sorry about bullying you, please forgive me." Gakuto still had a black eye as his father socked him for being a little prick.
"O-okay." Miyako answered subconsciously. Still shocked by the events.
"Welcome Miyako!" Kazuko gave her some candy and the gloomy girl almost teared up.
"So, what's the plan?" Ronin rubbed Miyako's head and the twins glared at her.
"Now that we have more members! Let's play football!" Shouichi took out a baseball.
"We don't have a bat, capt..." Yamato deadpanned at him.
"Then we make one!" Momoyo took a thick branch and she started to make an improvised bat.
It was rough and clumpy, as she skinned the bark off with her bare hands.
"Miss second, that's not a baseball bat." Ronin rolled his eyes and he took it from her.
He then started carving it with a knife. Making it look like a baseball bat that just needed some lacquer.
"O-ohhh! As expected of the king!" Moro blurted out and Ronin raised a brow.
"A king huh? I guess you can be one." Aka nodded at the title.
"It fits, maybe?" Miyo snickered at him and he gave them a side eye.
"Ahh, that's what they call you at school Ronin." Kazuko explained.
"King my butt, he's more of an anti-social prick." Momo disagreed.
"At least I'm not always second." Ronin rebutted and Momoyo snarled.
"I'll so hit a grand stand!" Momoyo announced confidently.
"As if." The twins just rolled their eyes at Momoyo's claims.
She could definitely do it, if they weren't there that is.
"Anigimi!" They heard someone call out to them and Ronin blinked.
"Ageha? Why are you here?" Ronin didn't expect her to appear.
"We saw you on the ride home, are they your friends? As expected, Kawakami Momoyo is one of them." Ageha has heard of her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Momo raised a brow.
"Excuse our rudeness, we are Kuki, Ageha. And what might it be other than because our anigimi is of noble blood." Ageha said it like it was a matter of fact.
"So we're just extras? You want a fight?" Gakuto bristled.
"Easy there, baby. You might get what you want." Hume appeared behind him and squeezed his shoulder.
"Ageha-sama, Ronin-sama might be here. But these babies are not worthy of your time." Hume looked at the kids.
"Leave us be, Hume. My imo is safe with me. She needs to see the world for herself as well." Ronin ordered and Hume had to back off.
He knows what he was talking about anyways. And Hume trusted the trio to protect Ageha.
Hume disappeared and Ageha looked at him with sparkling eyes.
"Anigimi, you were able to make Hume go away." She couldn't do that and she thought he was so cool.
"And you don't call your brother's friends peasants. Even if they are. It is rude." Ronin chided her and Ageha nodded.
"Forgive us, anigimi is correct. This must be noblesse oblige." Ageha bowed, but the kids didn't understand what she said.
Though they did know that she just called them peasants again. They could feel it.
"What did I just say, my imo." Ronin sighed and he pinched her cheeks.
"Ow, ow, sowwy." Ageha apologized again. "While you're here, let us play as well. Baseball should give you a good exercise." Ronin added her to the roster.
"You guys are on!" Shouichi had a toothy grin on his face that was shining.
They then played and Ageha was added to their hang outs from time to time.
