What the fuck? The system spent the last year denying me everything and now it's imposing something on me? Besides, what does that mean, 'Encounter of destiny'?
"Leonard..." Also, what is this Rewards and Punishments? I was in a video game and didn't realize it all this time?
"Leona...!" Marcus recommended something called 'Solo Leveling' to me at the time and told me it was something like this, but wasn't it supposed to be reborn in the DxD world?

[I thought I told the Host to treat the system well.]
"To hell with that! Just tell me what it is". Is there any way to eliminate this thing? I hope so.
[Alert: There is no way for the Host to get rid of the System without causing the Host's death in the process] ....
[Answering Host's original question] Suddenly I see a holographic screen in my eyes [By suffering the first destined encounter the quest section has been activated].
Just as I said on the screen that appeared I saw a strange menu.

Although the only word that was currently glowing was the {Missions} section, the rest was turned off.
[As the Host has noticed, the rest of the functions are currently sealed, each one will be unlocked as you have a pre-destined encounter and successfully complete the mission] But the Missions section is already unlocked, isn't it?
[For the Host's benefit, this section will be unlocked forever] Oh... Now I understand. Somehow I ended up with a video game menu! And I thought you were going to be completely useless forever!
[The Missions system is divided into 4 categories:
1.-Fated Encounter: As I mentioned these missions consist of advancing your relationship with the person you have your destiny tied to, whether they are lovers, friends, family or rivals. Completing these missions will unlock a function of the system, if the next mission fails the function will be lost].
So if I want you to be useful with something I have to make friends with the people you tell me to? Sounds like a nuisance...
[2.-Changing the story: People usually believe that their life is determined from birth and they are not usually wrong most of the time. Take advantage of this section to change the future and control your destiny].
Hmmm these quests don't have rewards as such, but I guess not being the puppet of destiny is positive.... Wait a minute!!! Doesn't this contradict the 'Fated Encounters' missions!!!?
[3.-Main missions] Answer me damn system!!!! [They are missions characterized by their long duration or their complicated conditions to complete them, you will always have at least one main mission at any time. Completing them gives great and juicy rewards].
This sounds interesting... But I wonder what kind of missions they have to be to be classified as 'main' .... Killing bosses? Saving damsels in distress? Save a village from a blood infection that turns them into beasts?
[4.-Secondary missions: It can be literally anything banal or simple to do, from just cleaning your room or completing your daily training to meeting people to acquire friends and influence. The rewards for these are more moderate and things that the Host himself can get].
Sounds easy, I like it.
"Hey system! What about my main mission? You haven't given me anything"
[Looking at the system screen, concentrate on the section you need to see] Hmm okay.
'Main missions'
[We all start with something!
Objective: Get your first member of your peerage while maintaining your house rules.
Reward: Teiguu: Dimension Formation, Shambhala
Penalty: Do not get the Teiguu]
What was a 'Teiguu' supposed to be? A weapon? an ability? I don't remember the name of any DxD moment...
"Well, I guess thanks for the clarifications. I have to go now before they come looking for me" The system didn't answer me but I don't care, I'm curious to know my status and Sona was always one of my favorite characters, I have no problem being friends with her.
Now that I literally live in this world, maybe I shouldn't refer to them as 'Characters'....

"And then my little Leonardo yelled something like 'I'm superman!' And threw himself down the stairs, can you believe it? HAHAHA" Damn it mom it happened only ONE time and I really thought it might fly.... What am I supposed to have wings for if I don't!?
"Hahaha Looks like your son is more like his brother than he looks like" Not you too Lady Sitri!!!!
I thought they would talk about important things, future of the underworld or something, not that they would go out of their way to trash my dignity!!!!
"Oh and there was this one time Leonardo was playing with some wooden blocks and for some reason he threw at them shouting 'Banzaiii!' Tino! I thought that was a secret between brothers!!!! Where did the unbreakable codes of brotherhood go?
"Hahaha this reminds me of the time So-tan came out of his room and got so scared of a painting that he came crying back into my arms" At least I see he wasn't alone this.... "I remember it like it was yesterday 'Sister Serafall the pears want to eat me!!!' Haha....
I can't take it anymore, I'd better leave the room quickly before I'm embarrassed even more.
I get down from my chair when no one sees me and run over to where Sona was, completely flushed and in tears from embarrassment.
"Psst" I call her attention "Hey! Do you want to come with me? I can show you around the castle..." She looks at me a little unsure but still takes my hand and I quickly lead her out of the room.
I hear something being said to me in the distance but my brain just decides to ignore it.
We finally walked away and I stopped to look at Sona, it was strange because I had very much in mind the Sona leader of the council, the anime nor the author did not tell us anything about Sona's past.
I mean, it's illogical that one of the most important families of the underworld and the author gave us practically no information about them.
I didn't even know her parents' names until literally today!
But to put scenes of Rias and Akeno naked you were good, weren't you?
Well, better not to remember things from the original series "Maybe you already know but I'll say it anyway, My name is Leonardo! But if you want you can call me Leo" You know, I really did the first thing that came to my mind. In the previous world I was pretty good at initiating conversations with girls... girls who were over 20 years old of course.
Sona must have a similar age to mine, around 12, but demons grew up differently and as I seemed to be 6 years old human, she must have also been 5/6 years old.
"Uhmmm, my name is...Sona" What a cute voice!!!! It almost made me want to caress her head and mess up her hair.
So that's the effect of the tenderness of a small child eh? I understand my mom and the maids of the castle a little bit more...
"heh, nice to meet you Sona!" I offered her a smile and we continued walking, there really wasn't much to say on the way but to explain a few things about the castle here and there.
It sure is hard to make friends with a child.
"That's the entrance to the family library... I think, I've never been in there and I can't either" I don't know how to avoid sounding like a tour guide! This was supposed to be the beginning of a friendship not a demonstration of what we have here.
But there wasn't a lot of fun stuff going on here either... I mean for me yes, but I've never been in a castle before, Sona lived in one all her short life.
The library was out of bounds, the training ground too, the garden too because I can't get out of the castle by myself.
And Kiyohime is watching that my brother doesn't flirt with Serafall!!!
"And over here we have... my room!" I had a couple of toys here but not many that can be played with between 2 people.
"It looks... cute?" I'm supposed to take that as a compliment? Curse my adult mind that is incapable of childlike imagination.
"Come, come in" It was a simple room, it had a small desk full of papers and crayons, my bed, a closet where I had all my clothes and a box with my toys "Umm, let me see if I can find.... Aha! Here it is" Before I could walk like a person, this was what I enjoyed the most, this and Kiyohime's fire magic of course.
"W-what's that...? I took out before them a case with 32 pieces of carved wood.
"It's what the devil pieces are based on... if you know what that is of course" Serafall had a peerage? Though Sona nods so I guess so "It's called chess!"
Well I used to have fun playing with the pieces in general, I was only able to play chess a few months ago when my hands were not so clumsy.
Tino was really good at it, or maybe I was just too bad at it but that doesn't matter, in the old world I really liked chess. I have forgotten a lot of things but I still remember a lot of it.
"Ch... chess?" Good! I got your attention, now that I think about it.... Wasn't Sona an amazing chess player? Well she's still a kid so maybe she hasn't played yet.
"Yeah sure, it's a little hard to understand but I'm sure you'll like it a lot!"
[Warning: Possible temporal change situation] What? Now? What could change in this?
[A not so nice experience
Objective: Leave in Sona bad memories of chess, that she hates the game.
Reward: Sona's personality will be very different from how you remember her.
Punishment: Sona does not change and becomes the Sona you remember].
What? Damn shitty system... Why the fuck would I want Sona to hate chess?
Besides, bringing about a total change in some of the little good in the future is supposed to be a reward?
"I... I'd like to learn..." Sona looks at me with some excitement and curiosity in her eyes, no, fuck you Sistema, I won't create a trauma for Sona with chess and I don't care if you have anything to say about it.
[The system only gives missions, it doesn't give any opinion about them, it's the Host's responsibility to do them or not.]
"Of course I'll teach you!" Besides, if I create a trauma for you in a game moment wouldn't it make me fail the first mission? I prefer my status the truth "You see chess consists of..."
Time passed and I carefully explained to her how the pieces worked and the basic mechanics of chess. You know, how the pieces move, castling, checkmate, promotion.
At the end of the day it was an innocent game so I saw no reason to teach him more complex things like openings or defenses.
Finally we played and although I had to remind Sona of the rules from time to time she did quite well. She didn't come close to beating me once but she jumped up and down with an excitement I never saw when she forced me to make a draw.
Finally Serafall came to my room and with a very happy attitude joined the two of us in a hug, thanked me very much for playing with Sona and said goodbye to me.
I didn't know if I completed the mission or not until suddenly Sona came running back to my room and with a tender smile she said "I had so much fun! You have to teach me more about chess!"
"Eh? Ah yes! Sure, you can come over anytime and I'll be happy to teach you more!" Why did my brother Tino have a playful smile on his face? He knows we're still kids, right? This is purely innocent!
[Fated meeting completed!] Just like a game eh? [Congratulations you have taken the first steps to have a powerful ally and an excellent friend in the future!]

Ohhh, so that's why I'm so lucky, I guess my high intelligence is from maintaining my adult mind.
