Chapter 2: Meeting the Family
'W-What's happening?'
'Why are so many people gathered around me?'
Feeling uneasy, I decided to look up and found myself locked in the embrace of a breathtaking woman. She had wavy golden blonde hair, ocean blue eyes that sparkled like crystals, and flawless fair skin, as if she hadn't just gone through childbirth.
'Have I been reborn with a mother like that? I'm incredibly lucky!'
"Look, honey, he appears curious. What an intelligent child we've brought into the world," the woman in front of me remarked with a sweet and ethereal voice.
"Yes, what an intelligent and adorable baby, clearly taking after me, haha!" A man sitting beside the bed chimed in, cuddling with his wife, who had just given birth.
I glanced at him and was amazed by his strength, evident in his well-defined muscles that bulged with every move. He had raven black hair and ocean-blue eyes that exuded a formidable and trustworthy aura, as if nothing could go wrong in his presence.
The robust man lifted me from my mother's arms and began caressing my bald head.
*Creak*
Suddenly, the door opened, and a wise-looking elderly man entered, his silver hair flowing and deep blue eyes seeming capable of uncovering all your secrets.
"Father, you've arrived!" the father exclaimed, embracing his newborn son.
"Of course, my grandson, the first male in your family, has finally been born," the kindly old man replied.
He took me from my father, holding me tightly and gazing into my eyes. But something about his look made me feel uneasy, like he could see right through me.
Shivers ran down my spine, as if he could expose my secret of reincarnating.
All the grandpa did was smirk.
"He shall be named Archie Avalon, the Crown Prince of Avalon Kingdom, heir to the ancestors island and its people!" the Sage declared.
His voice echoed through the skies, making everyone on the island aware of it. They instinctively knew what to do next, reciting the same phrase in unison.
"Everlasting God, we pray for our new ruler. Bless his reign and the life of our nation. Help us work together so that truth and justice, harmony, and fairness may flourish among us."
The words reverberated across the island.

'Hmm, it seems he hasn't discovered anything other than name... Wait, he definitely knows!'
Sweat began to trickle down my forehead.
'But it doesn't seem like he's going to reveal anything. How unlucky I am to meet such a monster right away.'
The Sage put me back in my mother's arms and left the room.

"What's so funny, Reina? Don't you think my old man can make children laugh? Hmph," grumbled my father.
"No, Henry, it just seems like Arch is still laughing and waving his arms around, oh my," chuckled Reina.
They continued to laugh together, leaning on each other.
'Is this really going the way I'm imagining it? Like in those novels? It's my turn now, suckers!'

'Hmm, I can't talk right now since I'm a baby. Does saying it out loud in my thoughts count? Status!'

I stared at my father menacingly, activating the ability.

'So the region I'm in is called Avalon Island, and it's a territory filled with resources? Well, that's good news. I won't need to relocate to start my territory. Whoever governs this place is lucky. I might be able to attain an aristocratic noble title here with my current knowledge and skills,' I thought, until…
'Wait, my last name is Avalon... If I put two and two together, doesn't that mean I'm part of the royal family?'
'Now that I think about it, this room certainly looks fancy and expensive, like something out of a historical manhwa.'
'Haha! Hahaha, I won't struggle anymore! My family is rich! I'm the young master!'
I continued to laugh, making my parents, Henry and Reina Avalon, react with happiness that their baby boy was healthy.
POW!
The door swung open, and two beautiful girls walked in. Behind them stood a tall man in a tuxedo, looking professional and wearing glasses.
The two adorable girls ran toward their parents, jumping into their laps. The older girl appeared to be around 10, with golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, just like her mother.
The younger one had light brown hair and ocean blue eyes, and she looked cute as she sat on the bedside, peering at the newborn baby in front of her.
"MOM, DAD!" Both girls exclaimed simultaneously.
"Emily, Danae, come see your baby brother," Reina told her two daughters, kissing them both on their foreheads.
"Mom, what's his name?" asked Emily, her excitement evident.
Reina replied, "His name is Archie. Please take care of him in the future. After all, you are siblings."
"Mom, his hair is black, just like dad!" Danae, the youngest, observed while gently stroking her brother's baby hair.
As all of this chattering continued, I gazed up at my two sisters, thinking to myself, 'Wow, I have cute sisters.'
"Your Majesty, the Edonian Imperial family conveys their congratulations to His and Her Majesty for the birth of the Crown Prince. As a gift, a banquet ceremony will be hosted when he turns 15," an official announced.
"The Emperor also sent a personal letter to Her Majesty," added the butler standing beside the door.
"Very well, you can leave the letter here and continue with your duties," Henry instructed.
Once the butler exited the room, Henry picked up the letter and began reading it aloud so everyone in the room could hear.
"Dear Sister, I'm glad you were able to safely give birth. I hope my gift and the 100,000 high-grade mana crystals will satisfy you. Unfortunately, I couldn't come personally to deliver the gifts. The affairs here in the Imperial Palace are hectic, so please accept my apology, my dear, lovely sister. Tell my nieces I miss them!"
"Ugh, this older brother of mine," Reina remarked, thinking about her sis-con brother.
"Mom, Dad, was that Uncle?" Emily and Danae asked, their happiness evident. They had great affection for their uncle, who was always kind to them and frequently gave them candies when they met.
"Yes, he was very delighted to learn he had a new nephew to dote on," Reina confirmed with a smile.
'So my uncle is the Emperor, and based on what the butler mentioned earlier, I'm the Crown Prince of this kingdom! Awesome!'
"I will be taking my leave to attend to some matters," Henry announced, embracing and kissing his wife and then sharing a big hug with his two daughters before leaving the room.
"Bye!" Reina, Emily, and Danae spoke in unison as they continued to play with Archie.
'I suppose I'll have to play the role of a baby for a few years. Based on my observations, there seems to be magic in this world, as indicated by that illuminating orb in the middle of the room on the roof.' Archie thought excitedly, making plans for his future.

In an office in the royal palace, Henry was presently receiving a briefing on the current state of affairs.
"The Emperor sent another letter for you, informing you about the movements of the other kingdoms, the commotion caused by the Crown Prince's birth, and his mana baptism that caused the lights to spread far and wide, alerting various factions to his potential," reported the butler.
"Very well. Tell them to bring it on. We won't back down!" Henry declared, his tone filled with determination.
"It's time we rid ourselves of these parasites. Archie will undoubtedly face challenges in the future," he added.
