Chapter 80: Chapter 80

-- 32 BBY --

The young queen of the Nabooians sat in her throne with her handmaids beside her. She had an important meeting with the rest of the government soon because they were currently facing a crisis.

"We are facing an unprecedented crisis to Naboo. We have been blockaded for several weeks now. I want to ask you, my handmaidens, should we request for help from the Yautja or should we go to the Senate once more?"

"Your Majesty," one of the handmaidens stepped forward to speak with her 'queen'. "King Veruna has soured our relationship with the Yautja. They had even threatened to take back their titans because of him.

You have ruled for less than 6 months and we have yet to make amends. If we go to them and ask for a favor, we may lose out on the very little goodwill we have with them."

The handmaiden spoke logically so the queen could not refute her but still felt stiffled in her heart. They had a positive relationship with the Yautja for nearly 130 years before her predecessor. But with a single bad leader, that relationship that had helped them grow was nearly severed.

This was also the reason why the Trade Federation had the balls to even perform the blockade. If their relationship was still as strong as before, the group wouldn't have dared to create the blockade. They still barely wished to when they knew about Doug but their backers assured them that they would be able to handle the him.

"So that leaves us with sending word to the Senate and hoping they can force the Trade Federation to retreat."

The other high ranking members of government entered the room not too long afterward and began to have a discussion on the matter. Many were of the opinion that they should try to fight back or call the Yautja but the queen disagreed with both.

She gave the same reasoning her hand maiden had given her for the latter while the former was more obvious, they were hopelessly outgunned.

Each of the battleships they had brought carried 1,500 droid starfighters and over 300,000 B-1 droids. And there were at least 15 of those battleships.

Fighting them directly would only result in a counterattack that would decimate Naboo.

So the queen had sent word to their closest ally, the Nabooian Senate member, Sheev Palpatine. He was their best hope that the Senate would be able to send aide before it was too late.

-----

Jial looked at the message that his forces had intercepted and frowned.

"The Trade Federation is getting more and more out of hand," he commented to the Inquisitor that presented him the information

"What shall we do, Lord Jial?" 6th Sister asked

Jial took a moment to enter meditation. He let his mind wander and focus as the same time. Jial soon saw visions of the future that the Force was bringing to him.

Sand.

Slaves.

Krayt Dragons.

A damaged yacht.

A young girl and even younger boy.

'Tatooine!' Jial was able to understand where the location was. The only planet where the Krayt Dragon could be found.

'The young girl is most likely Queen Amidala. As for the boy, I'm not sure who he is.

He may just be tagging along or he may have an important role in the future. Either way, I need to make sure they are both safe.'

This was why he hated using the Force to try and gain an understanding. The visions were rarely full pictures or stories. Just fragments that one had to out together themselves.

"Go to Tatooine. Prepare some non-Republic credits while you are there and wait. You shall receive further orders later," Jial gave her a set of commands.

"Yes, Lord Jial," 6th Sister gave a slight bow before her holographic image faded. The realistic image was part of the Yautja's powerful technology that no other group could imitate.

Nott appeared next to Jial as if she had emerged from the shadows.

"Father. We have representatives from the Trade Federation and Techno Union present. They wish to speak with you," the woman spoke to him with an etherealness in her voice. The depths she had gone into the Force were amazing and Jial truly did not know how powerful she had become

"Have Sev'rance deal with them. Let her know about the blockade over Naboo as well, my child," Jial passed off the responsibility of talking with the two. He had little to say to them as they had outgrown their usefulness.

"Of course. Is there anything else you would like me to do?"

"Deploy 5 Motherships and their accompanying Scouts to Naboo but make sure they stay hidden. Have Cleopatra lead them and be ready to provide immediate support," Jial thought about and decided to send one of his people to act as support directly. He knew that the queen would escape but he wasn't sure how the Trade Federation would react.

'It seems that big changes are coming to the Galaxy. The Yautja are ready to bare their fangs to anyone that wishes to test us.'

Nott faded away but she was no hologram. The woman had perfected a teleportation technique using the Force and used it to quickly move around Wyne or to carry out secret missions.

Sev'rance met up with the representatives and had a meeting with them that last 3 hours. When it was finally done, she called a meeting for all of the leaders.

Everyone met in the meeting room as they were curious why Sev'rance had called them there. She hated meetings more than Boxe and tried her best to avoid them.

"I just got done with my meeting with the representatives of the Trade Federation and Techno Union as some of you know. They came to me with an offer.

They wish for us to accept a large number of planets into the Yautja Empire, providing us a payment for each one we accept."

"We get vassals and are getting paid to take them in?" Suxon asked with disbelief. "Do they take us as fools?"

"They must if they think we shall accept that deal," Boxe agreed with her brother

"I don't blame them," Seviss licked his scaly snout. "They are trying to start a war and who had better rallying power than us."

"It doesn't matter. Whatever they have planned, we shall take no part in it," Nott spoke up. "HK-47, send a message to our allies and vassals. They are to make no deals with any power without our permission unless they wish to end our agreements with one another."

"Hypothesis: The three groups are preparing to wage a succession war against the Republic. The heavy amount of taxes as of late have surely angered them and many other planets that rely on shipping out large numbers of products."

Everyone began to discuss the various implications and how they should best proceed.

"It does not matter what they wish to do," Jial finally spoke up, silencing the rest of the room. "The Yautja shall remain neutral as we have for the past 140ish years. We shall only take part if ourselves or our allies are in danger."
