Chapter 1: A New Life.

Hello, author here and I decided not to delete the previous chapter but to start a new volume with the new story. This way, you all can read it, as I noticed someone commented on it.

Also, if anyone wants to adopt the previous idea, feel free to take it and use it as you wish.

Now, let's start with the real story, and this is not up for adoption or any other use.

Looking at the small but ethereal jellyfish in his hand, he patted its head and sighed. This was the second moon dreg he had ever summoned.

Canceling his summoning, he walked outside into the backyard. Patting his pockets, he took the packet of cigarettes out and lit one, placing it in his mouth. He sighed as memories of his mother rushed back to him.

Taking a long drag, he remembered the day he woke up in the body of a character he had liked in his previous life, Junpei Yoshino from Jujutsu Kaisen, his fate was to be turned into a curse by Mahito, another cursed spirit.

He was initially overjoyed before all the memories rushed back into his head, and his soul went numb. "What kind of cruelty has this boy suffered?" he asked himself.

However, he felt two things: his cursed energy soared through the roof, and his cursed technique changed. He believed that these changes had occurred due to his soul merging with Junpei.

Well, now he was simply Junpei Yoshino. The previous life he had lived, he had abandoned when he died. Now he had a chance to live this new life.

Hearing the doorbell ring, he quickly dropped the cigarette and crushed it beneath his sandal. He walked to the door and opened it, finding his friend Yuji Itadori waiting for him.

"Yo!" Itadori's cheerful personality brought a smile to his face. Even though he was mourning for his mom, Itadori was the kind of person who just made it impossible not to smile. Merging with Junpei, even if he wasn't the "real" Junpei, probably helped him cope with his mourning.

"Hey," he replied with a slightly sad smile, opening the door to the house and welcoming him inside. Walking to the fridge, he called out as he took out a bottle of milk, "So, you want some tea?"

"Yep," nodding as he walked to the kitchen and stood there with his arms crossed, Yuji asked a question that he was prepared to answer, "Can you see curses?"

Stopping and turning around after placing the milk on the stove and adjusting the heat to low, he nodded as he spoke, "Yes, I can see them. It's actually a funny story how I can see them." He smiled a bit, with the intention of revealing Mahito's actions to Jujutsu High.

"I have cursed energy and technique thanks to a curse, although he's a bad guy. He was the only friend I had for some time before you," he said with a somber smile on his face. Yuji was surprised before he nodded. He, too, had cursed energy thanks to a curse, the evilest one... The Disgraced one.

"I see, so why don't you come and join Jujutsu High?" Yuji asked as he walked to the stove and turned it off, noticing that the milk was about to spill and Junpei had become still after he asked the question.

"Yes, I would like to," Junpei nodded as he poured the milk into two cups, he placed one tea bag in each of them, handing one to Yuji and taking one for himself.

"Honestly, I wanted to tell you myself without you having to ask me," he said, sitting on a sofa, separated by the table with Yuji on the other side.

"But anyway, it's over now. I need to move out of this place; it's suffocating me being here," he muttered the last part. Yuji still heard it clearly due to the heightened senses that his body had from childhood.

"Well, I can call Ijichi-san and arrange for you to meet the principal for your admission to the school. Just be careful of that old man; he has this cursed corpse doll that just punches the hell out of you," he said the last part with a laugh as he remembered the beating he got.

Smiling as he nodded, Junpei had averted the fate that would have otherwise befallen him if he had gone to seek revenge. However, he still had his mind set on a goal. He needed to get stronger; otherwise, he would just die without having achieved anything, and that didn't sit well with him at all.

The next day, at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School...

A man sat with a doll on his shoulder. The doll was blue in color, had a small red nose, and was equipped with two boxing gloves. Despite appearing to be a simple doll, it was anything but ordinary; it was a cursed corpse doll.

The man had a muscular frame with tan skin, and he was quite tall. His hair was short and spiky, with black hair on top and the rest of his head shaved. He had thick eyebrows, and his facial hair consisted of a mustache and goatee combination.

He wore a fully zipped-up long-sleeved black jacket, along with similar shoes and pants. His face bore a serious expression, and his eyes were hidden behind his sunglasses. This was Masamichi Yaga, the principal of Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu School.

The place was dimly lit with candlelight, its pillars supporting the ceiling, creating a dark atmosphere. Yaga sat with a doll on his shoulder and others around him, all not yet animated.

"Why are you here?" Yaga asked the same question he posed to everyone seeking admission to the school, his expression utterly serious as he looked at the young man standing before him.

"To get stronger, to understand cursed energy, and to find myself," he answered truthfully. Ever since his mother's death, he felt truly alone. Merging with Junpei had caused his feelings, such as love and care, to pass into him.

"I see, you have passed. Just so you know, your answer wasn't satisfactory, but you must understand that no Jujutsu sorcerer would ever die without regrets. Now, Ijichi will show you to the dorms." Yaga said in a strict tone. Hearing the young man in front of him saying that reminded him of a student he had long ago, one who never found himself.

"Thank you, sir!" Bowing a 90° as he thanked his new principal, who still looked as impassive as ever. He then prepared to leave with Ijichi-san, who had escorted him to the principal's residence.

Before he could leave, he heard the principal's voice once more. "And also, give me the answer to the question when you feel that you have truly found yourself."

Stopping for a moment, he could swear that he felt a hint of warmth in the principal's voice. Turning around and smiling, he replied, " Yes sir!" and then walked out.

His new life had begun as a jujutsu sorcerer. His goal: to get stronger and to find himself, to uncover the answer to the question "Who is Junpei Yoshino?" This was the start of his new life.
