Chapter 2: Tech Demon System
Leo's eyes opened slightly, only to be invaded by a bright white light. After some time his eyes adjusted to the light,
"This is a hospital, how come? I was eaten by a terror"
He tried to recall what happened with the terror, but he had no recollection of what happened, he must have passed out when he was swallowed.
"god my head hurts" Leo was rubbing his head when he noticed the purple circle that had been hanging at the top left corner of his view, as soon as he tried to look at it, it immediately expanded to show a purple screen.
knock knock.
Someone knocked on the door.
"Come in" Leo responded taking his eye of the screen, which made it revert back to an icon at the corner.
"Ohh? I was not expecting a response yet." The doctor walked in. "I presumed you would still be unconscious, the knocking was merely a formality."
He pushed his glasses up slightly, while he looked at Leo in a curious way.
"Doctor Can you tell me how I got here"
"Your mates brought you in, two days ago that is."
Leo fell into thoughts, (how did we manage to escape that Terror, did someone save us?)
The doctor interrupted his train of thought.
"The nurse will be in to run some test to ascertain if you are ok, also your mates have been waiting for news on your waking, I will inform them that you have come alive." The doctor stepped out of the room closing the door behind him.
Leo turned his attention back to the icon, when he did it enlarged into the screen again.
"What is this? Did I damage a part of my brain?"
[Host is in perfect condition, there is no damage to host brain or body.]
"What the fuck was that? What are you?"
[I am the Tech Demon System]
"The what now?"
[Tech Demon System]
Leo decided to take a breather, if he didn't calm down he might actually break his brain.
"Let's start with the how, as in how are you inside of me?"
[Host made contact with the system when he fell in the terrors mouth]
"So you were in his mouth? Doing what?"
[I was consumed by the Terror by accident]
"Ok so now where are you from?"
[I cannot provide Host that information]
"Huh? Why not?"
[Host does not have required clearance ]
"So how do I get the clearance?"
[I cannot provide Host that information]
"Damn you stupid System, then what can you tell me"
[You have been selected as the Host of the Tech demon system, the system is here to help you]
"Help me how exactly?"
[You wouldn't have to almost die in the hands of a low level terror like that again]
Leo immediately knew the system was mocking him for being weak, but he could not retort seeing it was right.
"So how will you help me?"
[Making you stronger]
"You mean you can help me awaken?"
[NO]
"Then what do you mean for fuck sake"
[The system possesses its own method to make you strong]
"Really? Then show me how"
[You should start by viewing your stats and skills, as I am just the voice assistant of this system, the main thing comes from the system itself]
"But how do I operate it?"
[Uploading System data]
Like a rushing river, information he had never known flowed into his head, filling his brain with all he was allowed to know about the system. The process took two minutes, when it was finished Leo said. "Why didn't you just do that from the start?" but the system did not respond.
"Fine then show me my stats"

"Well I get what everything is here for, but system why is Meta gene showing up, I thought you said I cannot awaken?"
[Host was not informed that he could not awaken, host was told that the system cannot make host awaken as is not its task.]
"Wait, that means I can probably still awaken right?"
[Yes]
"Awesome! Hey system how am I to get stronger if the shop is locked till level ten, the information you passed to me said so."
[Begin daily task to gather stat points and check your notifications] Though Leo had Absorbed the information giving by the system, it only gave him details on the use of everything in the system, but not the not what he should do with them, surely if he was giving more time he would surely know how to get stronger using the information, but he did not want to wait as he wanted to move quickly.
"Ok, show notifications." As soon as he said it, the notification screen came up, two notifications.
You have gained starter pack, would you like to open it?
You have gained terror core, would you like to absorb it?
"Terror core, what is that?"
[It is the core gotten from the terror that swallowed you, when it was killed.]
"How did the terror die exactly?"
[system activated the once a month lifesaving protocol to save Host, which in turn killed the terror.]
"Then why did I not get exp?" Leo asked skeptically.
[Host did not play a role in the death of the Terror, as such there was no exp to be gained.]
"So I have to be involved to gain".
"Well I will use the starter pack and terror core, when I am out of here, I don't know what would happen if I use them here, I better avoid trouble until, and I understand this whole system thing, if it can make me stronger then it seems lady luck is on my side. A second chance is hard to come by, but I was granted one, and this one allows me to rise to new heights."
Leo took some time to get accustomed with the system, his daily task would begin the next day. Leo was happy for getting the system, he had overlooked something, the DEMON aspect of the system.
Knock Knock.
"Hey Leo are you awake, Leos best friend had come to see him.
