Chapter 2: The truth

"It's not teleportation kid, that is something only the blue eyes can even do," Zachary said.

"Well, that was lame, how did you manage to do that? and what blue eyes? don't you have yellow and I have green?" Astrel asked.

Astrel has so many questions in his head, everything is so new to him. Oddly enough, he doesn't find it surprising or weird. For once, he did not feel like he was a monster.

"I have heightened speed. A hundred times faster than a normal human being,"

"Ohhh," Astrel nodded like an innocent puppy.

"Anyways kid, come with me. This world is not where you belong," Zachary said while pointing to Astrel to follow him.

"I have a name okay? It's Astrel, A-S-T-R-E-L Brightwood," Astrel sarcastically said, "And hold up, I don't even know you why would I-- "

Before Astrel could finish speaking, the ground began to shake violently, causing the cement floor to crack and Astrel to lose his balance. Just before he could fall, a hand suddenly grabbed me, as if he were a damsel in distress. In an instant, Astrel found himself on the other side of the road, safe and sound. Astrel started throwing up.

"Woah dude, what in the freaking roller coaster is that?" Astrel said feeling sick.

"Look ahead of you," Zachary said.

Astrel looked up to find his father raging with anger with his yellow eyes shining brightly. The floor that he and Zachary were on was all smashed. It seems that Astrel's dad is also a Colossal. With this fact, Astrel felt betrayed.

"Bring me back my seed!" his dad shouted.

"Is he really your son, Mr. Henchman," Zachary stated. It's not a question. Zachary made it sound like it's a fact.

Henchman's eye widened like it heard something that wasn't supposed to come out of Pandora's box.

"Dad, what does he mean? Zachary, he is my dad, what are you saying?" Astrel asked in confusion.

"Yes, Astrel. His name is Finch Henchman. I know I recognized you... Finch henchman, the guardian of the sixth sin," Zachary said.

Tears started to form in Astrel's eyes.

Zachary wanted to fight and take Henchman in since it was his duty as an executioner. He looked at the kid in his arms. He couldn't possibly fight while protecting the kid, not when it's one of the guardians of the sins. Even if it's not directly one of the sins.

"What is there to gain by stealing someone's child, Henchman?" Zachary asked in a very serious manner.

"Don't you know? It's you know who's son, there is a lot to gain executioner," Henchman said and started laughing diabolically.

Then they started to hear bones cracking coming from Henchman. Zachary became alarmed.

"He's transforming, we have to leave," Zachary whispered to Astrel, who looked like he was still in a state of shock, "Hey kid, get a grip if you don't wanna die. That person, no monster right in front of you is not your dad."

Astrel who was still in shock didn't utter a word. Zachary wasted no time, threw a rock and a portal appeared.

"Jump in kid," Zachary shouted.

Finally, Astrel came to his senses and started running towards the portal. He stopped in front of the portal and looked back at this thing you can't call a human anymore.

"NO! Don't go," Henchman said, "Son, Astrel, It's me your dad! Are you disobeying me?!"

Astrel slapped his face and said, "You are not my dad and you never felt like a father."

Before Henchman could reach them, Astrel grabbed Zachary's hand and entered the portal.

They arrived in the forest via teleportation with no visible sign of human habitation. The portal began to close.

Zachary started walking and Astrel followed behind him. After a few minutes of silence, Astrel finally calmed down and said something.

"So, where are we? Where are we headed."

"We're in Tabitha Forest, and you'll see we're close," Zachary said wasting no breath.

After walking for a long time, they finally reached a humble home that was built among the trees and grass.
