Chapter 7: A moment of peace 2/2
"It's been awhile since I've seen snow."
As of now the Mathers Mansion was currently covered in a thick layer of snow as above it was currently a cloud producing snow, this of course wasn't normal snow but was mana enriched snow Puck was releasing and would be releasing for the next two days, of course many of the people in the village were curios on why snow was appearing in the distance despite it being only a few weeks before winter. But they soon found out when Rem went to invite the children to the Mansion grounds with the accompany of their parents.
Right now the children were currently playing with each other while the adults which was basically everyone other than the children were watching were watching them enjot themselves, the parents were currently talking amongst themselves as they recalled their childhood and how they were exactly like their children.
While the Mansion residents were currently looking curiously at a dish Chris had prepared for them.
"Pisa?"
"Its Pizza Rem"
Now thanks to still being stocked with multiple supplies the Mansion had everything Chris needed to recreate multiple dishes from Earth, mainly the most basic ones being cheese pizza with crust stuffed cheese with the similar taste and texture as Mozzarella, he was also able to make something similar to espresso which wasn't the first time he was making as he had made it before when he would work as a patrol guard back in the capital for one of the guilds.
Of course the way how he made it was quite different but with a little help of SOUL magic he was able to make something that worked like an Espresso machine by making it out of his DT, he found it funny as how the strongest trait of the human soul from the Undertale universe would have the ability to morph itself into anything he wanted as long as he had enough control and he used it for a espresso machine.
"I don't think this 'Espresso' as you call it isn't that bad I suppose"
"Indeed~~~"
Hearing how the two obvious posh and proper individuals praise him it annoyed Chris, but instead of focusing on the two he took a bite on his pizza he watched the mana enriched snow fall from the cloud.
Due to the amount of snow many of the children would either make sculptures out of the snow or even forts they would use to play in, and with the present blaster acting like an evil dragon trying to get pass the castle walls. Unlike Subaru he didn't find a reason to do anything other than give the children a few hours to play instead of making a competition, even so with the amount of pizza he had made the children would eat them thank him and then go back to playing.
He had a soft spot for children but at the same time he didn't as he would kill one if he needed too, but for him it was common sense as with the reset button his moral ethics were quite different from a normal person.
'Do all the bad that you want but make sure to undo then after you get either good or bad results'
Of course he didn't care for who he killed even knowing the names of these children wouldn't stop him from leaving them to die if he needed to as for him the lives of these children were pointless to him, but for some reason Chris had been getting less and less cold ever since he had arrived at the Mathers Mansion albeit just a bit.
Eventually the children stopped playing and had to go home as it was getting dark so after saying their good byes and thanks they all headed home with their parents, and soon enough all of then returned inside and were now in one of the many rooms on the second floor where guess would eat. And the reason for this was Chris with the help of Rem prepared a meal for all of them that would be accompanied by the wine Ram and Chris had found this morning.
"Oh my~~~ To think my grandmother had forgotten about such fine wine~"
'You mean you've forgotten?'
Chris only watched as Roswaal drank not from a wine glass but instead from the bottle directly, meanwhile Rem and Emilia were currently hugging themselves as they were currently intoxicated. They tried snuggling on Chris but he didn't have any of that and thankfully the two girls were so drunk they couldn't comprehend that the person they were snuggling onto wasn't Chris.
So right now Chris was on the balcony looking at the vast night sky and thought about everything he had experienced this past weeks, he was slowly getting stronger and he was sure it was only a matter of time that he would be able to Overwrite reality itself.
He knew the overwrite had limitations but even wth the limitations he could destroy a timeline or world if he wanted too as long as there wasn't an insanely powerful god in the world, but as he was he noticed someone was now beside him and thanks to his enhanced senses he smelled that they were drinking what seemed to be grape juice.
Beatrice looked at him with a confused expression before continuing to drink her juice, Chris found it funny that someone of her age wasn't drinking but nonetheless he truly didn't care and continued to watch the night sky as he could see multiple constellations that piqued his interest.
"You're quite odd."
Chris turned to look at Beatrice who was now giving him a complicated look, he could already guess it had something to do with her trying to find 'That Person' he honestly didn't care as it wasn't his problem. But he knew that once she see's him as 'That Person' that her loving mother mentioned she would definitely stay close with him.
"I'll take that as a compliment."

With that Memory snow has ended, I'm not that good with writing slice of life related stuff but I tried my best-

It was currently the last week of Fall, slowly the trees have been turning orange and the atmosphere began turning cold. It had been a week since Pucks magic release and everything after that was the same routine for Chris, he would wake up eat breakfast with Rem and Ram go patrol the entire Mathers territory for around 30 minutes return and watch over Emilia until she finished her 'Talk' with the lesser spirits and go back to patrolling and later in the afternoon accompany Emilia again with her 'Talk' with the lesser spirits and end the day with another patrol before heading to bed at around midnight.
But today was different as right now as he and Rem were playing host to one of the kingdom's most powerful knights despite being old and retired, Wilhelm van Astrea accompanied by one of and if not the kingdoms most effective healer Felix Argyle.
'Didn't Roswaal have feelings for him when he was a woman?'
Chris had read from a reddit post about Roswaal feelings towards Wilhelm he didn't remember the specifics but he knew in the end Roswaal gave up on him, Chris sat across Wilhelm and Felix as he drank his tea while Rem was serving said Tea.
They were all in the front yard of the Mansion and we're waiting for Ram to prepare the carriage while Emilia was getting ready as she was summoned by the capital in matters relating to the royal election, and Felix and Wilhelm were their escorts.
"Dear guest please allow me to refill your cu-"
"No need."
Before Rem could offer a refill for Wilhelm to old man had interrupted her as he looked at Chris directly in the eye, as if he was trying to observe him which Chris returned with his own glare.

Chris read the prompt of his check and continued to glare at Wilhelm, but before he could the doors of the Mansion opened reveling Emilia with Ram beside her carrying what seems to be luggage. Rem took the luggage from her sister before heading to the Carriage which was apparently now in the front of the gate, Ram and Roswaal would be left behind the Manor while Chris as Emilia's knight would naturally come along with her while Rem would do her job of being her maid.
Without saying a word Chris got up from his seat and began making his way to the carriage as Wilhelm stared at his back as he left.
"What a pity."
(A few hours later)
After a long trip of pure silence the three of them had finally arrived at the capital, it was only the middle of the day as Wilhelm and Felix had arrived at the Mansion early in the morning specifically around 8 so they had time to spare before the meeting of the Royal election. But right now Chris was currently chatting with some of the guards who were guarding the gate of the capital.
"I still can't believe you're a knight now Chris!"
One fo the guards was an old man name Tom and was In charge of checking carriages before they could enter the capital, Chris had taken many jobs before and one of them was being a volunteer for the local guards when multiple narcotics were being found inside the capital. So Chris knew most of the guards in the Southern side of the capital which was the entrance of the capital as he was stationed there.
"Come on in!, you're all good to go brat!"
Old Man Tom gestured for the guardson top fo the wall and the metal gate was lifted allowing their carriage to pass through, as Chris got back inside the carriage Emilia could only look at him with a smile.
"What's with that face 'Lady' Emilia"
"Oh nothing~, it's just good to know my loyal knight wasn't a true lone wolf"
"Lia's right Chris I never expected you to have friends before you met us!"
Chris only ignored the father daughter duo's words and sat in silence for the whole ride, he saw other carriages pull up behind them and he could guess they were either the other candidates or nobles invited for the event.
Soon enough both a Emilia and Chris had to get off the carriage as they had reached their destination which was a huge building in the western side of the capital which was mostly filled with nobles and rich folk, Rem would need to bring the carriage to the nearby stables so Chris was alone with Emilia as Puck ahd returned back inside her necklace to take a nap.
"Shall we go Lady Emilia?"
With the most sarcastic filled voice Chris asked Emilia who could only giggle.
"Yes let's shall my dear knight"
With a smile on her face Emilia made her way into the entrance of the building but before he could a purple haired knight stopped her with a greeting.
"Its a pleasure to see you again Lady Emilia and by the looks of it this man here is your Knight"
The young knight bowed down to kiss Emilia's hand to which she allowed.
"Its my pleasure Julius, and yes this is my knight. Chris this is Julius Juukulius a spirit arts user and great knight"
Emilia introduced Julius to Chris with a bright smile as if she was expecting them to be friend's, but Chris was in different he didn't hate Julius for just being close with Emilia but instead he only found Julius creepy with his smile that could rival Roswaal.
"The name's Chris a pleasure to meet you, and yes I'm her Knight"
"Its a pleasure, it's good to see Lady Emilia is in the hands of someone capable and loved by spirits. But if you don't mind my lady awaits"
With that short introduction Julius left leaving Emilia to finally allow herself to finally enter the building while Chris saw three familiar figures in the distance.
"You go on ahead Emilia I have something to do"
And not waiting for an answer Chris made his way into the direction of an alley.
