A family of 7 was living in Tosali city. Ankush was the head of the family, with his mother, father, beautiful and lovely wife, and three children.
During this month, they visited Patliputra with their family to see the celebration and award ceremony. They were completely shocked when they reached Patliputra.
Upon reaching Patliputra, they saw various beautiful buildings and decided to enter one of them.
Ankush approached a person standing outside the building and asked, "Namaste, what is this building for? We have come from a different city, so we don't know much about it."
The person outside replied, "Namaste, this is called a hotel. People can come and stay here, but they have to pay. I am the security guard of this hotel."
Ankush went inside alone and approached the counter where two people, a man and a woman, were standing. He asked the man, "Namaste, I heard the person outside say that this place allows people to stay for a while if they pay money."
The man responded, "Namaste, yes, you can also stay here. We can arrange everything for you, and the hotel provides various facilities."
Ankush asked for more details, "What is the price, and how long can we stay?"
The person at the counter responded, "It's 10 copper coins for one day."
Since it wasn't too expensive, Ankush booked a room for 4 days and called his family inside.
Two room service staff members helped them with their belongings, and they all moved towards the elevator.
Curious about the elevator, they asked the room service staff, "What is this thing?"
The room service guy smiled and replied, "It's called an elevator. It's used to let people go up and down."
Ankush's father asked, "How can we use it?"
They entered the elevator, and the room service staff explained how to use it. When they pressed the up arrow, the elevator started moving.
They were a little tense at first, but soon they relaxed and started enjoying the ride.
When they reached the second floor, everyone, including Ankush's parents, exit
the elevator.
Ankush's parents were a little afraid but excited.
Upon entering the hotel room, they were surprised by its beauty. The room service person introduced everything inside the room.
They room service open the curtains and enjoy the strong wind flowing into the room. Ankush's family went to the balcony and observed the scene outside, with many people walking around and buying things.
After standing there for a while, enjoying the moment, and talking and laughing with each other, the room service person continued the introduction of other amenities.
They were shown how to turn on the lights with a button and were encouraged to try it themselves. One by one, everyone clicked the button, including the children.
The room service person also showed them the bathroom and the drinking water facilities. They were informed about the usage of towels, soap, and other necessary items. Since there was no invention of toothbrushes yet, they still used babool tree branches to brush their teeth.
Susima also thought that babool tree branches had more benefits than brushing teeth with a toothbrush, so he didn't focus on this time.
In the bathroom, the shower was something that Ankush and his family liked the most.
There were also some interesting devices near the bed.
Then the room service person explained how to use the telephone for communication. "This thing is called a telephone. It is used to communicate with people on the other side. If you need anything or have any problems, you can inform them."
Ankush's child was shocked and exclaimed, "Using this thing, we can really talk to other people from anywhere?"
The room service person responded, "No, sir. Only parties who have this device can communicate. Also, there is a string connected on both sides. If you speak from one side and the other side also has this device, both devices are connected with the string, and the other party can hear your voice."
After hearing that, Ankush took the first step and spoke into the device. After a few minutes, he received a response from the other side. He was shocked and surprised that the other party could hear him.
One by one, everyone used the device and spoke to people on the other side. The person on the other side was patient and helped them understand how to use the device.
After that, the room service boy left.
Since they had booked two rooms, Ankush's parents stayed in one room with two kids, while Ankush and his wife stayed in another room with the youngest child.
They started unpacking their things and putting clothes in the cupboards. They really liked this room, even though their original house was bigger. They preferred this room because of its convenience.
In the afternoon, they explored the city and visited various buildings. They entered a shopping mall and noticed many people
buying things like clothes, makeup, jewelry, and various other products they didn't even know about.
They entered a clothing store, and a person approached them. He introduced himself, "Namaste, my name is Sushil, and it would be my pleasure to help you."
Ankush replied, "Namaste, we were just passing by and saw that this shop was very popular. So we came here to see what you are selling."
Sushil smiled and responded, "We sell various types of clothes. Each clothing item has a different meaning and purpose. If you don't mind, you can come inside the store and look around. If you find something attractive and want to try it, we have a changing room. If you decide to buy, you can go to the counter."
They entered the clothing store, which had different types of clothes for men, women, children, and the elderly, catering to different seasons and people's requirements.
Ankush noticed the excitement in his mother's and wife's eyes. He could see their eyes shining, and it made him a little afraid.
They explored all the clothes, and his wife and mother tried on various outfits. They put some clothes aside, and Ankush understood why.
His mother approached him and asked, "Putra, I know you love your mother very much, and you would never say no if I asked for something. So, to respect your thoughts, I think of buying those things for myself and Bahu."
Ankush could buy those clothes, but he was concerned about how they would carry so many things without any servants.
Sushil noticed their hesitation and said, "Don't worry, sir. This can be easily done. We will send our staff with you, and they will deliver all these clothes to your residence."
Ankush felt relieved and agreed to their offer.
Upon hearing this, his mother and wife's eyes lit up again. They started buying clothes for the children.
Ankush thought that in his house, they didn't need any bulbs because his mother's and wife's eyes were enough to light up the entire house.
They also bought a couple of clothes for Ankush and his father.
They visited various other stores, especially a makeup store, where his mother and wife became almost crazy and planned to buy everything.
Ankush reminded them that they were not
staying permanently in Patliputra, so they should reduce their speed of buying things.
They moved from shop to shop, and in just a few hours, they returned with four people following them, carrying bags full of purchases.
Ankush's plan was to go back to the hotel first and put their things in their rooms.
They started heading back to the hotel.
