Chapter 13: System

Lazy Wafula's mind was then rattled(played with), he felt like he was peeking at something divine, something that them mortals should not know. The eyes of the girl were so deep that he found himself lost in that world.

"Lazy, you are so handsome today, can you take me to the amusement park to play?"

"You didn't have to remind me that you don't like most of the women, but that aunty is pretty, you must not allow her to fall into the hands of other men, you must keep her for yourself."

"Yesterday you took me to the children's museum, where are we going today."

"Don't move me around and throw me to air from time to time, I already told you that I am not a child."

"You have said so many times that you will buy me a lollipop, but you haven't done so yet, why?"

"I don't like that uncle Chen, he is delirious and a clown. He likes to laugh every time like an idiot. You should teach him a lesson or two when he comes back."

"Next time we go to the children's park, I will be the one who will drive the hover car."

All the memories of him and this child Queen Nakhumicha were vividly appearing in his mind. This happened in less than a second but to him, it was like he had gone back in time and experienced the life of him and Queen Nakhumicha together.

As he was still mulling over what he had seen, his soul was returned back to his body and he saw again a vague image of Queen Nakhumicha which was disappearing at the periphery.

Queen Nakhumicha smiled at him for the first time and waved her hand before saying, "we will meet again in the future." From her hand which she had waved at him, a small white wisp emerged and shoot towards him.

The voice that said those last words of Queen Nakhumicha was not the voice of a child but the voice of a grown woman. Through the singsong voice that he had heard, he can tell that this woman was insanely beautiful in that her voice alone was enough to lull the demons of hell.

The strange thing was that when she finished uttering those words to him, all of his memories of him being together with Queen Nakhumicha were erased completely. He had forgotten about her just the next second. Not only had that happened to him, but also it happened to his fellows. The weave and thread that connected Queen Nakhumicha to this world was burned down by divine flames, all the memories were burned.

The connection of Queen Nakhumicha to this world was utterly annihilated, she became a thing that never even existed. With just a word her existance was erased in that plane - it was a word of law, harnessing the universal laws and manipulating them to proceed with the desired order.

She was gone just like that and all of them had forgotten about her even the quest that Lazy Wafula accepted to babysit her was also erased in the completed quest window. It was now as if he had never taken that quest in the first place. The only quest that remained in the completed quest window was the one that required then to survive the infected encroachment.

Lazy Wafula felt as if there was something missing but he can not pinpoint what was the thing that he was missing his head just hurt for trying to think about it.

The eyes of Lazy Wafula were bloodshot and blood was dripping down from each corner of his eyes. The cause of this was his earlier stupor when he was staring at the eyes of Queen Nakhumicha. The eyes were the windows of the soul the soul after all. His soul had passed through his eyes and dived into the eyes of Queen Nakhumicha and it was also the at his very same eyes where it passed to return to fill up the void body.

The white wisp that Queen Nakhumicha released from her hand entered into his forehead through the survival mark which flickered, yes, the survival mark was still there, it had not disappeared as it had only faded, hiding its presence. The molten space was not even powerful enough to stop that wisp from going to the intended destination.

"Wac#$_&hii-lé wa*@$enà mtó¥€tœ bàlák%£¢€húpháâ nënπdé kämáßsíkkíé #£@*?" Voices which lazy didn't understand the language used rampaged his mind when that wisp succeeded in entering into his mind. The system which had been ordering him around in the past twenty years was shattered like glass rendering Lazy Wafula even more paler, that system was integrated with his soul and its destruction had injured his soul greatly, coupled with his exhaustion, remaining sober became a problem and he was slowly loosing his self-awareness.

"Beep!"

[ You are the favoured son of the darkness and you are lucky to have been selected by the Survivor Overlord of the underworld as her minion, being the minion of such a being, you are supposed to be powerful, that was why this new system has been awarded to you by the Overlord herself. ]

"Beep Beep..."

Those were the distant vague voices that Lazy Wafula heard before he passed out completely. Unlike the previous system which used a female voice, this one used a deep mechanical male voice.

Soon after when the countdown ended, Lazy Wafula who had already passed out was absorbed into the realm of cultivators. The space tore open and a wormhole formed which sucked them, teleporting them to that realm.

Lazy Wafula opened his eyes and saw a vast world that he didn't thought existed. This world was endless unlike their puny planet Earth. Right now, he found himself sunbathing in one the sandy beach out of nowhere yet somewhere. Yes, it was nowhere to him but to the inhabitants of this place, it was somewhere. He raised his hand and saw that it was finely built. His pores felt revitalized as if he had taken a bath in the holy pool. The chains that had been holding him were no longer functional.

[ undisputed_shame: "I know most of the readers will not like tomorrow's chapter. But I don't have a choice because Earth is not the world that I wanted due to nationalism. Most of the readers will likely drop this book tomorrow because they didn't expect the change of the world this soon."]
