It's been two days since the doctor announced the death of Sang Xiu. Two days since Fu Mingze watched as his wife fell apart in front of him. His heart ached as he saw Yang Meiyi just staring at the food in front of her in a daze, he nodded at the maid to leave them alone and sat beside her.

Fu Mingze held her hand gently and said "I'm still trying but it's difficult, the police can't find any witness to the accident and the security camera in that area has been damaged for a year now."

Yang Meiyi forcefully removed her hand from his and said "Then you should try harder."

"Meiyi." Fu Mingze said her name in helplessness, she has been distant from him ever since her mom's death and the worst part is that he doesn't even know how to fix it, he doesn't know what to do to make her feel better, for her not to close herself to him.
