Chapter 25: chapter 25 : Brothers
In the GDA's premises, Deborah and Mark who was back on earth had finished giving each other news but while Debbie was carrying the child who had returned with Mark in her arms, Mark had a blank look and his mouth was half-opened.
Deborah : So this little angel is the child of Nolan and a woman from their planet !? Does he have a name? We're going to take care of him like he came out of my womb, this little one is innocent of-(Interrupted)
Mark: LUCAS IS ALIVE ?!! How ?! I saw his remains, we mourned and buried him (His eyes became wet). Where…where is he?! Where is Lucas?!
Just as Debbie wanted to respond, Donald entered the room.
Donald: Debbie, Mark, you need to see this.
He pressed a button and a holographic screen activated while a news flash was broadcast on it.

Deborah and Mark looked at the screen with some intrigue and the image changed to show them the confrontation between Saeko and Komodo after she killed their leader.

He rewound the video and Debra asked him to stop at a specific point, he didn't succeed the first time but after the seventh attempt, they had the right image.

Mark: You can't see very well but it slightly resembles the silhouette of a person. This is what transported all his people outside!
Deborah : It's not teleportation, it's pure speed. When we see The Shadow, 6 hostages have already disappeared on the screen.
Donald looked at Debra with admiration, the woman in no time had known how the hostages were saved in a few seconds through this surveillance video given the absurd circumstances of the situation but it was not very surprising for Debbie who now had an extremely high IQ thanks to the pill that gave her powers.

Another video was shown where in a room they saw a young man brutally killing the lieutenants of the league by dismembering and decapitating them without any effort, the person had long hair that slightly hid his face and he did not showed no mercy for his enemies by picking up the two heads he tore off before walking out of camera view.
"Lucas!! I suspected it." Deborah said exhaustedly putting her hand on her face, her son unlike Mark liked to act drastic with criminals mainly if they had victims.
Mark: Lucas...He's...He's...my brother, he-(interrupted)
"It's definitely me Mark…" they heard a voice in the room while the video was still playing. Debbie and Mark looked towards the door where they saw Lucas and Saeko standing there smiling, especially Saeko.
Mark didn't say anything and stood frozen for a few seconds before moving at high speed and stopping right in front of Lucas where he just looked his brother up and down, touched his scarred face and shoulders before his breathing becomes irregular.
"Is it you…" Mark hugged his little brother as tears fell from his eyes. Deborah and the others watched the scene with great emotion.
Mark: I apologize little brother, all of that...everything that happened was purely my fault, if only I had been a little stronger. IT WAS UP TO ME TO PROTECT YOU…(crying) Mine!
"I'm fine Mark. I saw everything you went through to protect the world from Nolan, I'm proud of you big brother and it's thanks to you that he left. (Smiles) We have so much to tell each other." Lucas said patting his brother on the back.
Saeko: Big brother Mark is long gone, I hope you brought me back a memory of the aliens.
Mark: Let's say I didn't bring back something but rather someone.
Deborah approached them with the child and they looked at him curiously.
Lucas: Is it a baby alien ? An indigenous child from the planet you've been to ? I don't see any difference with humans.
Saeko: He has purple skin, it's cute.
Lucas: There are humans with different skin colors too, Saeko. Mark, are they all like us on this planet ?
Mark: No, in fact they are humanoid insects but this little one is special because he is...Nolan's son.
Saeko, Mark and Debra looked at Lucas apprehensively to see his reaction, they were a little afraid that he would be hostile towards the child.
Lucas: Why are you looking at me like that?! It's Nolan I hate, not the kid. He didn't do anything. Did you meet Nolan then ? If the kid is there, something happened to his parents.
Mark: I'll tell you everything...
[ a few minutes later]
Lucas: I understand.
Saeko: Wow! So where did they take him and what are they going to do with him ?
Mark: Honestly ? I don't give a damn about his fate after everything he did even if he wanted to preserve Earth in the end.
Lucas: And so now, Viltrum has given you his place to bring Earth under the rule of the empire. What are you going to do ?
Mark: They gave me 1000 years to do it, that's enough for me to do what it takes to face them, become more powerful.
Lucas: I don't think they're just going to leave you like that, be sure that people will come to watch you, they know that you are hostile to their people since you even killed one of them. It looks like you really got a lot stronger ahahahah.
Mark: I beat you now whenever you want little brother, while you were sleeping I trained hard.
"Okay, you boys will continue your discussion at home. After such a trip this little one must be exhausted and above all hungry. We're going back." Deborah told them smiling.
Saeko: By the way, he has a name.
Mark: No, Andressa and Nolan hadn't given him one yet.
Deborah : We will then but for now-(interrupted)
