Chapter 29: chapter 29 : Brit vs Fear
Watching Brit begin her assault on him, Lucas only smiled before calmly began to dodge and deflect the series of blows delivered by Britney.
In a few seconds of assault, he had already measured Brit's speed and strength to match her and make the fight more equitable in terms of physical capacity.
Britney intended to throw another punch but long before she began the move, Lucas interrupted her rhythm with an elbow to the face right on the nose.

"BRITNEY!!" Amber yelled as she ran towards their position with the others following her with quite worried faces but Lucas quickly reassured them.

Realizing that she was inferior to him in combat, it did not discourage her, on the contrary...
"I lost this round but I'm not giving up." she said smiling while regaining her guard in front of the others who remained silent in front of this whole scene.
For exactly three days without any interruption, Lucas and Britney fought…or rather, Britney tried to attack Lucas without success.
They faced each other a total of 437 times and Britney lost every round without laying a single finger on Lucas.
"It's okay, I give up…you're a fucking monster!" Britney declared as she lay down in what looked like a trashed and overturned field half a mile away.
It was midday and the sun was at its peak, Lucas looked at her smiling before sitting down next to her.
Lucas: It was interesting, you even got stronger fighting me.
Britney: I couldn't even touch you, keep your lies to yourself you monster.
Lucas: Oh but I'm not lying, when you come back to the agency, try to fight your half-brother and you'll see that I'm telling the truth.
Britney: If you are so strong then what is the thing that could have marked your body with so many scars?!
Lucas: An opponent who was not from this world, it was an alien I think. He was strong, fast, extremely instinctive and experienced.

Britney: And you have other attacks like that ?
Lucas: I haven't had any yet since waking up but I can still feel my cells in constant pain. I'm getting better but I'm still basically sick. (stands up) We should go back, we've been fighting for three days now and I have to take Amber and Saeko on patrol.
Britney: Patrolling ! where?!
Lucas: Poachers! We're going to patrol and do a little cleaning up for illegal hunters. You want to come ?
Britney: No, I have my fill. I'm quite mentally exhausted, losing 437 fights has exhausted me and my internal organs feel like mush. But if you allow me, I have one last question.

Lucas: This was supposed to be your last question, remember. Shall I take you back to the mansion?!
"(sighs) With pleasure" She responded by taking Lucas's hand who took him back to the mansion where everyone greeted them with a strange atmosphere.
Very quickly, a summary was given to them. The day before, Mark received a call from William who sounded scared and his breathing was irregular.
William had been kidnapped and the kidnapper wanted to see Mark alone otherwise he would kill William without hesitation.
Mark didn't know who this person was but he had the confidence to face this individual alone.
