"Of course, I don't mind talking a bit about us."
"We come from the other side of the lake."
"The lake? The big puddle? That's impossible!"
"Believe it or not, that's the truth. We came from the other side of what you call the big puddle."
"That's... that's so absurd. If you really came from the other side, how did you get past the guardian?"
"Guardian? The giant crocodile?"

"Killed who? The guardian? That's more absurd than crossing the big puddle."

"Wait, you killed the guardian? You really killed him?"
"Yes, but now it's your turn to answer the question: What are the savages?"
"Ah, the savages are like us, but much more violent. They have no self-control; they just live like other animals out there. At the slightest hint of reasoning, they move only by the simplest instincts like eating, reproducing, and fighting."
So these savages are exactly like normal primates. They must be much more primitive. I wonder what would have happened if I had been reborn as one of those savages. According to their description, they are more primitive than the tribe when I arrived.
"Can I ask a question?"
"Uhmm, go ahead."
"Why did you come here? You seem smarter than us. From what I can see, what you carry are weapons and tools, and the place we're in can be taken anywhere. It could guarantee a place to sleep wherever you want. And that shiny thing at night, we've seen it before, but only during the dry season. That can kill, but you're not afraid at all."
"So what are you looking for here?"
"What we're doing here, right?"
"We're on the move, but relax, we won't stay here forever. This is just part of the journey."
