Chapter 2: CHAPTER 2 : HOSPITAL

Ajin woke up in the hospital. He could make sense of some voices, but they were all blurry.

"Is he gonna be okay?" a woman's voice said

"We're quite sure he will be okay, but he hasn't gained consciousness yet," a man's voice replied.

"But what happened to him?" the woman asked.

"We are not sure what but his brain k-kinda went into a trance and he fainted," the voice of the man replied again

"And who got him here?" the woman asked, her voice blooming with concern

"We don't know, but he said he wasn't family and left."

Ajin's vision hit him like a train and slowed just to show "those eyes"

It hit like a video playing in fast-forward. Him standing in front of the bike and fainting.

Now, his brain was hurting like hell. "fuck" he muttered. Attempting to sit on the bed he had been lying on for an unknown amount of time, Ajin made an effort.

When the curtains of his bed were drawn. It revealed a slim man with pale skin, who was wearing square glasses and a white coat which doctors wear. And next to him was....

He smiled when his brain processed everything. "white" he said.

White smiled back, " Good to know you're not dead."

Ajin faked a scoff. "You won't get rid of me that easily."

White rolled her eyes but with a small smile on her face.

The doctor took his hand to check his pulse. After a moment, he said, "Hello again, I'm Dr. Phoban. Can you tell me how are you feeling?"

Ajin was a bit embarrassed, being at work with cursed spirits. He should be tougher. "I'm fine," he muttered.

"Can you remember the last thing you saw before you were fainter?"

Ajin again was having flashbacks at full speed. "Those eyes, I know those eyes," he thought to himself, but he didn't say it.

"I don't know, I was just crossing the road and my head felt dizzy and then I don't remember anything"

"Okay," said Dr. Phoban.

He was taking notes in his cardboard. Ajin was getting embarrassed now "When can I get out?" he asked the doctor. White was looking at him uncertainly.

"You should rest," she said, "you take workload too much".

"I. DO. NOT," he said, which wasn't entirely true.

"I will give you some medication, then you are free to go," said Dr. Phoban."

"Okay, thank you," said Ajin, then the doctor left White and him alone.

"Okay! So what happened? Tell me," White demanded.

To piss her off, Ajin just looked at her innocently and said,

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh, come on, I know you don't faint out of nowhere," White scoffed

Ajin's face darkened. Then he said "I…. I think I saw him."

White's face went white with shock "Are… are you sure" she stuttered.

Ajin nodded, looking into nothingness at the end of his hospital bed.

"then we should go look for him. He was probably the one who got you to the hospital," White said with determination.

Ajin gave her a sad smile. "How? He could be anyone, and I only saw his eyes. His face was hidden in the helmet"

"What!" said White while she settled herself on a stool next to his bed. "Tell me everything and also about your last mission. What took you so long? I missed you like crazy," White ranted.

So he did. He told her about Fah and his mission. White laughed like a pig when he told her about fah confessing her feelings to him.

good old white.
