Chapter 7: Chapter 6: Ichinose / Pool - Part 1
Ichinose: "Oh... Of course! I'd love to join. I love the idea of being a detective, and it sounds exciting to solve mysteries with other people!" *She smiles and accepts his offer to join the Detective Club.*
Ranpo: "Great! This makes my third member!" *Ranpo extends his hand to shake hers, not appearing nervous.* "I'm glad you listened to me. We're going to have a great time solving mysteries together. Although, we should go and register the club!"
*He pauses for a moment, thinking.*
Ranpo: "But wait, how do I get 10,000 points?" *He starts to exude a somewhat depressive aura.*
Ichinose: "A... 10,000 points? Is that for registering the club?"
Ranpo: "Yes, I have to register the club with the student council. And they told me it costs 60,000 points." *He looks sad about not being able to register his club.* "Honestly, I don't know if I can get the remaining 10,000 points. I feel a bit disheartened."
Ichinose: "Ah... *She notices his disappointment* How many points do you have right now?"
Ranpo: "I have 51,000 points."
Ichinose: "Oh... *An idea suddenly occurs to her* Well, what if I give you 10,000 points?"
Ranpo: "I refuse! *shaking his head* I'll never ask anyone for money!"
Ichinose: "Then... What if I help you earn the 9,000 points you need?"
*He looks at Ichinose, momentarily speechless.*
Ranpo: "What? Are you serious? You'll help me register the club? *He looks very grateful.* Of course, if you help me, I'll thank you in every way possible!"
Ichinose: "Of course! We're friends now; I'd love to help." *Honami extends her hand, a smile on her face.*
*He extends his hand and shakes hers, feeling very thankful.*
Ranpo: "Thank you, Ichinose. I really appreciate it!" *He smiles, genuinely happy.*
I can't read anything bad about her; there are no ulterior motives, no hidden malice, no gesture concealing evil.
Ranpo: "Now, how are we going to get the 9,000 points?"
Ichinose: "Oh... How about we find some part-time work for a week?"
Ranpo: *He gets into a thinking pose.* "Oh, of course! *pointing ahead* Let's go to a café!"

After classes, Ranpo and Ichinose went to Pallet and asked if they could work part-time until they earned 10,000 points.
At Pallet, they agreed to let them work for 4 days in exchange for 25,000 points because Ichinose didn't want Ranpo to be left with no money for the rest of the month.
The next four days were summed up in Ichinose and Ranpo working as waiters for 2 hours a day. While it wasn't a big deal for Ichinose (she even found it fun), it was the biggest effort Ranpo had ever put into anything, struggling to avoid dropping orders or praying that no one noticed he ate half a cake's cream.
But once they received their pay, it was all worth it.
*Ranpo feels very pleased with his payment and hands half of it to Ichinose. She refuses.*
Ranpo: "Oh... no, no, please keep the money! Thanks to you, I've achieved it!" *He extends his hand to encourage her to keep it.*
Ichinose: "I refuse to leave you with nothing! You already have to pay 60,000 for the club."
Ranpo: "Just... Then... come with me to register the club!! *He says with a more excited smile than a little child.*"
Ichinose: "Of course! Of course *She smiles* That doesn't even need to be asked!"
Once they arrived at the student council office and knocked, the secretary, Akane Tachibana, opened the door.
Akane: "What do you need? The president is in a meeting."
Ranpo: *Ranpo takes out some papers from inside his coat.* "Here, take these; they're all the documents to create the club."
Akane: *A bit surprised* "And the points?"
Ranpo: "I have them; how do I transfer them to you?" *With his phone in hand.*
Akane: *She takes Ranpo's phone and taps a few things* "Alright, I'll check to make sure everything is in order, and then I'll process the paperwork... But from now on, you are the President and Vice President of the Detective Club, Edogawa and Ichinose."
Ranpo: *He turns to her, still excited* "We did it!!! *He jumps to hug her* We did it!!!"
Ichinose: *She smiles and hugs him back* "Great! *A proud smile forms on her face* We'll make a great team, Ranpo! *Her eyes widen with enthusiasm* "We're going to solve mysteries together!"
[After parting from Ichinose, Ranpo informed the rest of the club members, who were happy (though Albert didn't show it)]

A few days later, Ranpo was walking to his seat when he overheard a conversation:
— "Good morning, Yamauchi!"
— "Good morning, Ike!"
— "Wow ~ classes are so much fun that I can't sleep~."
— "Yes, this school is the best. The swimming class will start soon! I say swimming, but the girls are the important part! And by girls, I mean their swimsuits!"
After hearing this [awful] conversation, Ranpo sat in his seat for a while. Chabashira-sensei approached him.
Chabashira: "Why are you still here? You have a swimming class." *More curious than angry.*
Ranpo: "Actually, I want to ask you a question." *Still lying down in his seat.*
Chabashira: "What do you want to know?"
Ranpo: "Have we reached 0 class points yet?"
Chabashira: *Surprised but then quickly composed herself* "I should have guessed you already knew... No, you still have a few points left."
Ranpo: "I figured. *He nods* Well, bye!"
Chabashira: "Why don't you tell your classmates?"
Ranpo: "Why bother? *Turning to leave* I've been thinking about your plan, and I've decided it's not my problem what my classmates do. Besides, failure will help them improve."
Chabashira: "Won't it cause you problems?"
Ranpo: "What does it matter? Besides, I have a motto: If it's fine with me, it's fine. A Super Detective like
me couldn't care less about what a bunch of kids think."

Ranpo was the last one to enter the changing room when it was already empty. He changed slowly, revealing his enormous/invisible muscles.
He walked out of the changing room with his hands behind his head, encountering quite an amusing scene: Ike crying and being consoled by Yamauchi.
Kushida: "What are you guys doing? It looks fun."
Ike: "Ku-ku-Kushida-chan?"
Ranpo: "Ah, they were crying because they won't be able to see the girls' chests upstairs."
Ranpo said without any consideration for Ike and Yamauchi, causing them to receive a strange look from Kushida.
Horikita: "Why do you have a strange expression? *She asked Ayanokouji*"
I turned around, expecting to see Ayanokouji with a different expression, but all I saw was the same 😐
Ayanokoji: "At this moment, I'm having an internal battle."
Ranpo: "Hey! Here's the world's greatest detective! *He's laughing at the situation.* Looking at Ayanokouji, I think he's not telling the truth. *He's looking at him with a serious face.* The truth is, you can see that this man has been working out. *He laughs a bit.* Beautiful muscles, brother! Congratulations, you have the best genetics in history in case you haven't trained!"
Ayanokoji: "Ah, Ranpo, thanks for the compliment. However, I don't know if my genetics are the best in the world... it's more a result of a healthy diet."
Horikita: "If you go to such lengths to deny it, I'll believe you..."
Ayanokoji: "What, do you have a muscle fetish? Is that true? Can you bet your life on it?"
Ranpo: "Hey! The world's greatest detective is here! *He's laughing at the situation.* Looking at Ayanokouji, I think he's not telling the truth. *He's looking at him with a serious face.* The truth is, you can see that this man has been working out. *He laughs a bit.* Beautiful muscles, brother! Congratulations, you have the best genetics in history in case you haven't trained!"
