Chapter 21: Arisu Visit
When I was enjoying my slice of cake, the sound of a door was open suddenly appear, I then look towards the door, it was Raku coming while holding a plate with the sponge cake that he made.
"Yo Raku, do you want to watch me play with Arisu?"
"Sure I also have a portion for her."
"Is that right Raku-kun, thank you for preparing a portion for me too." suddenly a sweet voice sounded behind Raku.
Raku then turn his head and saw Arisu was standing behind him.
"Ah Arisu-Nee you are here, please sit down, I will serve the cake Aniki already started eating without you." he said to Arisu while putting down the plate he was holding and Arisu started to walk into the room and sitting across me in a seiza posture, Raku then put her portion of sponge cake in front of her and also pour a glass of tea in the cup and put it in front of her.
"Thank you Raku-kun, Arima let's enjoy the cake first then we will play a game of chess." she smiled at me after thanking Raku.
"You know Arisu I really don't understand why you always want to play Chess with me every time we met, can't we just talk or something." I said to her while enjoying the Chocolate cake that I took.
"Then let's talk, when are you going to propose to me Arima."
"How about never, like I say Arisu, I prefer the gentle and soothing type like my mother."
"But I can also become the gentle and soothing too." She smiled at me gently showing that she can become the type I like, I saw Raku was holding his smile knowing that I was not good when I deal with her.
"Yeah sorry if I want to say, I prefer Yui or Aria rather than Arisu, and I don't remember why you are very attached to me?"
"It's because you attract me that's all."
"Ok."
"Aniki aren't you going to respond to that?"
"What can I say to that, and it's not like I can do anything, I will just treat her like a normal friend."
"Hehe, this is the first time you call me a friend."
"Yeah like it or not I don't hate you but I also don't see both of us going more than a friend."
"Don't worry I will make you fall in love with me." she then proudly pat her chest.
Seeing this action I only laugh a little knowing what she will looks like in the future, she sense that my laugh is an act of mocking her, and started to scowl, I only ignore her and turn my attention back to chocolate cake.
After seeing me finish my own cake, she then called her butler and asked him to bring a chess set into the room, hearing that I only sigh, not long after the chess set arrive, seeing this Arisu then asked me which piece I would choose, I told her that she can pick first and let me play what she doesn't pick.
After setting up the chess piece, I was the white piece and Arisu was black, we were playing as I am now regurally playing chess with her, I pick up the strategies and do how in the time I was playing against her, I was very thankful of the skill Mind Palace I got when I sign in when I met with Kiyotaka.
The game started, my plan was to make way for my piece in the back to developed, in the first half both of us focus on making sure each piece we have are maturely developed, since I was white I have the first initiative because I developed my piece earlier than her, Raku on the side suddenly asked. "Aniki why did you didn't eat one of Arisu-nee piece when the game just begin, after all that piece are free to take?"
"It's because of the queen, I don't want her queen to came out first and I choose to make sure the piece like my Knight and Bishop to go out and have a huge reach and movement."
"Why do you want that?"
"Let's me explain it first, each piece here has a value, the Knight and Bishop has the same value of 3, Rook has 5 point, Queen has 9 point, and Pawn is 1 point, this is the basic."
"But imagine if my Queen is unable to move freely because of being hinder by my own piece or is threaten , but Arisu queen can go forwards, backwards, diagonally and, sideways, do you think my Queen have the same value as her Queen?"
"I understand now, even if they have a basic value but if you can't use them it's is the same as not having it."
"Ara Raku-kun is very sharp." she suddenly said. "And Arima your explanation is very good, but please do focus on the game and take this seriously."
"Sure sure." I then continue the game, in the end the result was me winning against her.
"Aniki how is the score now?" seeing that I won easily against her, he become interested on how the score.
"It's now 11-0, an overwhelming score for me."
"Aniki you are amazing, you didn't even play chess if Arisu-nee doesn't come here, even then you can still beat her."
Hearing his words I can only laugh since I started to feel piercing gaze from Arisu.

"Say Arisu, how about let's just play video game or some board games?"
"I am not interested."
"Then how about we just talk?, I heard that you started to go to hospital more often, are you allowed to go and visit me this frequently?"
"I visit the hospital because of check up for my condition and so that I can know if I am allowed to go outside and do activities, and also to see if there's any chance for me to cure the illness."
"So how is it?, is there any chance of being treated?"
"They say they are still not sure, since there's rumor that a certain research group is trying to make a cure that work on all kind of injuries and illness."
"Is that rumor true?, or is it just some rumor to attract your father attention, after all it is unbelievable for something like that to appear very early, I would think it was a scam."
"Are you worried that I will be disappointed if it was a lie?"
"Well like I said, I don't see you as a love interest but I see you as a friend, wouldn't I feel sorry if my friend is suddenly feeling down because of some false hope."
"If you say that I will fall even more for you." she blushed and tried to hide her face after hearing what I said that to her.
