Chapter 5: What Are You Hiding?
Meanwhile at Country Z.
Elena had already downloaded all the information about Daniel Murphy. She had skipped going out with her friends cause something about Daniel freaks her out.
Yes, he seemed nice and friendly on the outside, but she feels like no one could possibly be that nice.
She drove to a hotel in the middle of town and booked the presidential suite as she would never settle for anything less.
The elevator door opened to the top floor of the 6 story building hotel. The hall was well decorated and neatly furnished with only 2 rooms.
The halls were painted a shiny gold colour and a touch of white at the top. It looked extravagantly beautiful, but Elena wasn't pleased.
"Humph, I've seen better." She sneered as the secretary of the owner of the hotel personally showed her to her room.
"He couldn't even come to welcome such a prestigious personnel personally." Elena kept complaining about one thing or the other.
The secretary was getting tired of her complains, but he dare not do or say anything to upset her else he'll loose his job if his boss were to find out.
"Hope you find our services to your liking, miss. Do enjoy your stay, and be sure to ring the bell if you're in need of anything." The secretary said politely before leaving Elena to her big spacious room.
The room was well decorated with a king sized bed at one end and a huge dresser at the other. It had various expensive things that were seen as mere worn out toys in the eyes of Elena.
"Even my puppy lives in a way better and expensive environment than this so called presidential suite. There's obviously nothing presidential about it, except presidents are no longer treated with respect and honour." She sneered while looking at the room in disgust.
"Hey Google, read me the downloaded files on Daniel Murphy." She said into her tab as she sat up straight on the bed with her back rested on the headboard while sipping her cocktail.
"Daniel Murphy is a 23 years old business tycoon..."
The room was so quiet and only the reading of the in built help app in Elena's tab could be heard.
Elena had a shocked expression on her face by the time the AI feature in her tab came to the end of the article on Daniel.
She could not believe what she heard, so she took the tab from the bed stand and read all the information by herself.
"How on Earth could this be possible? Who is this guy and what is he hiding?" Questions kept flooding Elena's mind. Daniel Murphy is just a 23 years old guy who became a successful business tycoon within the period of half a year. Elena was both worried and confused at the same time.
It had taken her parents close to 5 years before they were able to build up a big business Enterprise and an additional 5 years to establish it.
Before they arrived at the top, it took them close to 15 years, yet the so called Danny was able to surpass other business Enterprises and gain the position as the second best company within a matter of half a year!
What scared her the most was that, only few things were stated in the article. No one knew who he was before fane or what he did in the past.
Nothing was stated about his family. All that was written in the article was the emergence of Danny's Corp and how successful it became after a week.
"There's no way anyone can become successful overnight without the support of someone at the top. There's just no way that can be." Elena kept shaking her head trying to clear her thoughts of the crazy possibilities that came to mind.
It is clearly stated in the article that Daniel Murphy worked alone in establishing his company.
"How can the press and the people just eat up such lies. No one is even saying anything concerning the overnight success of this damned bitch, Daniel." Elena gritted her teeth in anger.
She scrolled through other articles, but they were all giving her the same answers.
"Daniel Murphy is an ordinary 23 years old who is the sole CEO and establisher of the world's famous, Danny's Corp. He became successful even though he was not from any of the top class family." She read through five different article but they were all the same.
"Ordinary 23 years old CEO, my ass. There's absolutely nothing ordinary about that. How can he not be from any top class family, but yet achieve something so great in such short period of time."
Elena decided to at least find out his family background but nothing would pop up.
There was no great wealth linked to the name Murphy and worst of it all, there was nothing stated about his relations, but the articles were sure to mention his crazy and wild sex escapade and how much of a playboy he was.
"What kind of crazy people write these articles anyway? The readers are even bunch of brainless pigs. These articles are all updated on the number of girls he's slept with, but none of them knows a thing about his family background or even where he's from, and the readers just gulp down these rubbish write ups without asking any questions. Like, who the fuck is Daniel Murphy and where is he from. He's like the existence of matter in which no one knows how it came about, but they just accepted that it was there."
Elena kept scolding the readers and article writers even though they were not there or hearing her.
"I don't know who you are or what you're hiding Daniel Murphy, but I promise you that I'll find out, and when I do... I'll make it known to the whole wide world that you are just a fraud and a phony living a fake life. Mark my words Daniel. I'll definitely find out your secrets."
Elena had a look of determination in her eyes as she promised herself to find out the truth about Daniel and how he became rich overnight.
