Chapter 13: Only One Mrs Murphy
"Noooo!!!" One of the boys yelled out as the leader fell to the ground, dead. The other thugs had tried escaping, while all these was going on, and a lot of them were shot dead in the process.
"I'll get you for this! I'll surely make you pay. Mark my word Morgan, I'll make you all suffer." The boy said as he wiped away his tears, before escaping through the window shaft and into the woods.>
Daniel remembered his awful past which made him to groan in pain. "You took away the only family I had, and I promise to ruin yours." Daniel said in anger through gritted teeth.
The sun peaked through the curtains. Daniel set aside the laptop on his lap and stretched his body in different directions.
He grinned evilly, staring at the sunlight. "Get ready to watch your world crumble before your eyes. Your luxurious lifestyle is about to come to an end. Sweet revenge, HERE I COME."
Elena felt bad that she had bailed on her friends the previous day.
She had spent the previous night at the hotel, hating and cursing Daniel even though she had only met him for the first time.
Something about him seemed to annoy her but she could not pin point what it is.
It was as if he was her sworn enemy, which she didn't quite understand cause she had never met him before.
Maybe her hatred was because of the fact that he became an overnight sensation whereas her family struggled for years before they became successful.
Or probably because something about his gorgeous innocent looking face speaks evil.
She couldn't tell what it was, but the hate was slowly killing her inside.
Elena threw a huge all night party for her friends at the Elegant Hotel. They had the hotel all to themselves.
The music played really loud and they all danced to the beat.
"WOAH! BEST PARTY EVER! Apology accepted, El." Cecilia screamed out in excitement as she hopped up and down, dancing to the music being played through the large speakers.
She was Elena's closest friend, or so Elena thought. She only became friends with Elena because of her wealthy status.
The party went on till midnight. They all drank to stupor and became drunk, including Elena.
"Hi pretty, you look really tired. How about I take you in to rest." Derrick said to the already drunk Elena.
"Thank you, my good sir." Elena laughed as she staggered behind Derrick.
They walked out of the hotel and into the dark night.
"Where... where are we going to?" Elena stopped following Derrick and stood still at a place as her body swayed from side to side.
He had taken her into a dark alley. "The hotel smell of alcohol, so I'm taking you to somewhere more better and comfortable to stay." Derrick lied through his teeth which Elena believed.
"Ok then. Onward." She said marching forward like a soldier on the field. They walked further and further into the night when Derrick stopped.
"Where... where are we? What's the meaning of this? Derrick. What's going on?" Elena questioned as she held onto a pole for support.
The whole place was dark. Only the moonlight lit up the place. The next moment, human like figures came out of the shadows, circling Elena.
Elena was shocked. Through her drunken state, she was able to make out the number of people surrounding her.
Before she could make an attempt to run, she felt something heavy strike her on the head. She screamed out in pain before blacking out.
Earlier on at Danny's Manor.
"I can't believe this low life chose some bitch over me." Katy mumbled angrily. She had gone through Daniel's file the night he left the house after shattering her heart into pieces.
There she found multiple pictures of Elena in his locker. She had no idea who the girl was, but she knew she hated her because she's the one Daniel wants to leave her for.
"How do I find someone when I don't even know her name?" Katy clicked her tongue, thinking of a way to find Elena.
A thought came across her mind and she quickly grabbed her iPad like it was on fire.
'Richest lady's in Country Z.' She said into the pad, and it repeated after her before showing pictures of various young rich ladies.
Katy scrolled through the numerous pictures until she found what she was in search of.
"Bingo! I'm smarter than you think Daniel." She laughed hysterically as she clicked on Elena's picture being displayed on an article.
"Elena Morgan. Daughter of the rich and famous Morgan family. Future CEO of the Morgan Empire." She read through the article loudly.
"How cute. Nice catch Daniel Murphy. Nice catch. To be honest, she is really pretty, even prettier than me." Katy said disappointedly as she stared at the radiant smile of Elena in the picture.
"Anyways, I don't care how beautiful or rich she is. You're mine Daniel Murphy, and mine alone. I won't let anyone take you away from me, even if it turns out to be the president's daughter." Katy had a scornful look on her face as she went through the pictures of Elena.
She looked really gorgeous in all the pictures, with her black thick curly hair packed to the side in most of the pictures.
Her brown eyes shone brightly with her smile exposing her white teeth, and her tight gowns hugging her body, showing her curves.
"Aagghhh." Kathy yelled out in anger as she smashed the iPad into the wall facing her.
"Damn it. There's definitely no way I can compete with her in beauty or status. Why must you cause me so much pain Daniel? Why?" Kathy's loud sob filled the room.
She cried for few minutes and then a thought came to her mind. She wiped her eyes, smiling devilishly.
"Since I can't beat you Elena Morgan, I'll have to deal with you. If I can't beat you, then I'll have to kill you instead. That way I won't have to bother about you taking my place in Danny's life.
I'll let you understand that there can only be one Mrs Murphy... And that's me." Kathy laughed maniacally like an insane person that just escaped from the asylum.
