Chapter 22: Job For Another

Danny sat down in his study room going through his work files.

"Any news?" He said into his phone. 

"No good news yet, sir. He's still in a coma." The voice of his secretary, Wilson came from the other side of the line.

"But if I may ask sir, why are you so interested in the health condition of Mr Gerald Edmond?" Wilson summoned the courage to ask.

Something about his boss seems odd which gives him serious concern.

"Let this be the last time you will ever pry into my business, else you will not only loose your job at Danny's Corp and your privilege to work in any other company in the world but... you will also loose your life." And with that the line went dead on Wilson's end.

"Asshole." He yelled out, thrashing his phone on the bed.

"I guess it's high time I start looking into what it is you're hiding." He said, determined to find out why his boss was so secretive.

Daniel sat in silence, going through the trending news.
