Good thing he didn't have any he hadn't awakened yet and High school started tomorrow morning. So he could start working towards towards feasible plans or none tommorow onwards.
Cao Guang was the first to reach the High school the next morning that's because he realised something yesterday just while he was brushing his teeth this morning. Old Man Ying could be alive, I mean this guy is Mo Fan's origin story he gave Mo Fan the pendant, cultivation vessel of the Azure dragon this was an Emperor level creature with this pendant he would be set for life and this wouldn't not interfere with Mo Fan either as Mo Fan himself should be transmigrator who recieved the pendant in his home world.
As he made his way to the School he pondered about a few more problems.
He wasn't very clear about the Multiple world's and their consequences so 1) Is the guy alive 2) Is there an old man Ying in this world, if there is does he know as much as his doppelganger and did he have the pendant or knowledge about the world or would there be a phenomenon he didn't know or understand. 3) Would him getting the pendant change Mon Fan's origin story. Cao Guang didn't want that because not only did he want to maintain his advantage by keeping the timeline as intact as possible he also wanted Mo Fan to grow strong atleast as much as he did in the novel.
Why? Emperors were fearsome existences and so far very few had died due to human intervention the only one he knew was the Black Dragon Emperor Austin who would die due Su Linin the future. And in front of them Forbidden Curse mages seemed a little useless. Well not just emperors all demon beasts are stronger than human beings at the same level on individually. Of course there were plenty of human who soloed demon beasts at the same level like Mo Fan but statistically this number was not significant. And if the story progresses as it did he would need someone like Mo Fan and he kinda needed the timeline to be intact so Mo Fan's progress was going to be his measurement for deviations.
He didn't have the answers to these questions so he was low key hoping old man Ying would know enough to help him out. Old man Ying was the security officer or something for Tian Lan Middle School and he had graduated a few months ago luckily the high and middle schools were only seperated by a mountain and the guy basically lived on the mountain as well so alls well that ends well.
He couldn't approach the old man casually as well. He needed many answers from so he had to take it slow and build some rapport with the guy first hopefully he didn't die. He grabbed some breakfast and got to school and there he found his happiness, old ma Ying was chatting with another security officer. He decided to approach them, let the old man know him atleast.
"You're quite early aren't you" said old man Ying as I made my way to the entrance "Yeah kind of got over excited" I replied without any hesitation. "Not bad youngsters should be energetic" said the old man as he started to leave. "Anything I should keep in mind for high school" I said tentatively as I followed the old man a few steps from the other security guard.
The old man gave me a stare as he pondered what I meant, the old man gave a 'You don't have any friends?' look and I replied with a 'Yeah the previous owner of this body was an introvert orphan' look back. "Try to avoid offending those surnamed Mu and Chen, these families hold a lot of sway here. Well the Mu family are a renowned family marched only by the Zhao in the country and" said the old man "and?" I repeated "make some friends for yourself" the old man smiling as he left, "Thanks" I said in return and the old man said an open palm as he left without turning back.
Yeah that went well. Awkwardness aside it wasn't bad I probably made an impression on the old man and he jogged my memories as well, clans and families these things where important in this world. In ascending order they where small clans and families, renowned clan like the Mui of Shanghai and the Bai's and so on the Chen was probably one as well and one he don't recall as well and lastly world renowned clan, they were known worldwide and held massive influence and power. There were only two world renowned families in China, the Mu and Zhao, of course they had many branches like the Mu branch in Bo City. He thought that he really should stay away from the Mu branch.
Mu He was Great Decon Hu Jin of the Black Vatican and he was close to Salan. He induced the adopted son of his elder brother Yu And into the Vatican and Yan Qiu his adoptive daughter was high up in the ranking 'Chief extraditor' as he recalled. Well atleast in the future she was also inside the Casas another renowned family as well.
Cao Guang wasted the extra time he had by trying to memorize the school map and locations of his classrooms and stuff, he thought 'My memory would improve if I a mage right?' as he took a seat in his homeroom. His homeroom teacher was Xue Musheng just like Mo Fan in the future only the guy was middle aged instead of old he guessed.
"All of you have listened to Principal Zhu still I will reiterate magic is the glory of human spirit and by learning magic I hope you can contribute however much you can to humanity's progress ...."
" You guys should know by now what elements you can unlock by now " said the teacher as he looked around the class once.
"We will start the awakening by ranking so Cao Guang you are going first."
