Chapter 20: I have a plan

"There's no need to be so tense," Elara said, "besides, how are we supposed to communicate properly if you keep on staying on guard every time I'm around you."

"Kai, I know you don't still trust me but, just know I'm not you're enemy," she said before continuing, "else, why would I offer to assist you in your treatment. I only want us to be allies and that's because people like you won't want to be tied down else, I would have tried to recruit you, so what do you think of this?" She asked.

"I refuse," I said as I shook my head, "if I'm to perhaps accept your offer, people would definitely not like this and since I'm currently considered weak, most of your enemies would target the weakest to reduce the morale of the group," I said before continuing, "and before you say we can work it out, they would be targeting me since I would be the weakest head of the group. Besides, I can simply create my own guild in the outer if I wanted."

"You really thought far ahead, huh," she muttered, "I'm not trying to make you a target for everyone but, why would you create a guild in the outer academy?" She asked with a perplexed look.

"Didn't I lose against Prince Saniel? Or don't tell me another show off came by and you all forgot about my match that quickly," I said.

"No nothing like that happened," she replied, "anyway due to the way you competed against Prince Saniel in the tournament, they decided to promote you to the main academy besides, you reached the Expert stage during the fight so I guess that also made them promote you."

"Yes," I said with a light smile, "seems like I won't be delayed for another year, I really got lucky this time," I muttered.

"Anyway, you've been admitted into the main academy but, you'll still need to complete some basic registration but, that can be done anytime," she said, "also, you have a large number of people who have issued challenges to you while you were still unconscious and if you don't come out after a while, they might force you to."

Although in the academy there were certain restrictions, they wasn't any restriction on students seizing other student belongings since they were already prohibited from injuring or killing another student and no matter how strong he was, he couldn't possibly defend himself if two hundred Expert stage cultivators came to fight him all together.

"So you're trying to force me into an alliance with you?" I said.

"I'm not forcing you to form an alliance with me, I'm only reminding you of the situation you're currently in," she replied.

"But, what other choice do I have, you're trying to form an alliance with me because you don't want me to recruited by the others," I said shamelessly, "but if I don't join you, you'll kick me out to get beat up."

"How can you accuse me like that?" Elara asked with a pout, "besides, you're not supposed to be complaining. I used my family resources so you have to partner with me at least temporarily to keep my parents from forcing you to join our family or pay up for the resources we used."

"Alright then, I'll form a temporary alliance with you," I said, "I'll use that to know if you're a trustworthy person and if you try to anything funny, the deal would be called off."

"Fine by me," she replied with a shrug.

"Aren't we going to form a pact or contract? You know I could simply run away and get away with it," I said.

Pacts or contracts are used when two people makes a deal or an agreement and if any of the parties involved were to break the agreement, it would result in the punishment placed on the contract or death.

"There's no need for that," Elara replied, "although I may not really know you that well, I know you would keep to your words and since I don't plan to betray you then I don't need it either, think of it as me trying to gain your trust."

"Fine then, I'll be creating my guild once I fully recover and I'll also need your help in recruiting new members," I said.

"I don't think you'll need my help with that," Elara said with a smile, "although you're still new in the academy, you're almost as popular as the top ten students on the main academy ranking at least that's within the academy," she said.

"Alright then, I'll create a guild with both you, Sophie and I as the founders but, I'll mostly be assisting behind the scenes," I said.

"I have no problems with the arrangements, as long as you just stick to the deal we made then I'm not really concerned with anything else."

"Malie, how have you been doing? It's been a while since we last met," I said as I approached her in the hunter's guild.

Although Malie was not a student of the main academy, she was recognized within the hunter's guild and because of how popular she was, they often brought her to handle some of the hunter's guild affair within the main academy.

"Kai, it's you," Malie said as she smiled back at me, "I was really worried about you especially after you got knocked out. But I have to admit, you were really awesome when you fought against Prince Saniel, I didn't know you were that strong," she complimented.

"Thanks but, I was only lucky back then," I said, "I'm very sure if he and I were to fight now, he would defeat me easily."

"Anyway, what brings you here? Or did you come to just check up on me?" She asked with a trace of red on her cheek.

"Don't tell me she's a fan girl already," I thought inwardly.

"I'm here to see you and I'll also like to ask do you perhaps know the process of creating a new guild," I asked.

"That's nice, I never thought you'll be creating your own guild so soon," she said with a trace of surprise in her voice, "but I won't be able to help you with that, you'll have to go to the academy guild hall to register your guild."

"Thanks, I'll be taking my leave now," I waved her goodbye before leaving the hunter's guild.

"Seems like you don't still understand how I feel for you," Melia muttered, "I'll catch up to you so that I'll be worthy of standing by your side."

"I'm here to register a new guild," I said to the person at the registration table.

"Okay," he said without looking up, "I'll need your student id and the name you'll like to call your guild."

"My guild name will be 'Realm shapers'," I said as I handed my id to him.

"Realm shapers, huh, that's a nice name," he said, "wait, you're Kai Everette?" he asked as he looked at me for the first time since he had been talking to me.

~ "Is that Kai? The guy who defeated Prince Saniel?" The students in the building began to ask each other as they gather around me.

Although most of them were just gathering around me due to my fight, some were love struck and wanted to join my guild, the others were busy issuing challenges to me.

"For those of you interested in joining my guild, recruitment will start soon and as for those of you issuing the challenges," I said a my voice turned cold, "I'll gladly take you on anytime."

~ "Kai, you're guild has been successfully registered and as per your request, I made Sophie and Elara one of the leaders as well," the man said, "and as for the way you handled those kids, I'm impressed. You managed to tell the students you were recruiting and issued a threat to the trouble makers."

"You flatter me to much senior," I said, "alright, I'll be taking my leave now."

"I need to start recruiting members as soon as possible," I muttered.

Although I knew a thing or two about being a guild leader, my knowledge was still far inferior to those that had been doing it for a long time.

"Luckily, I have senior Elara to help me," I said with a smile as I headed back to her house.

"Senior Elara, I need your help," I said as I walked towards her.

""Oh Kai, you're back," she said, "so how did the registration process go?"

"It was pretty normal. Anyway, I want to ask you for your help in recruiting members to my guild but, I don't just want any random member, only mid level Expert stage cultivators are allowed to join."

"and I'll also need to have a base for my guild as well."

"Well, that's a lot of request's but, I think you should be the one in charge of recruiting the new members," Elara said with a sly smile, "follow me, I have a plan."
