Chapter 9: Chapter 9

[Song used: Alan Walker ft Ina Worldsen - Strongest]

"Thank you Mrs Black." Chelsea said politely and was simultaneously thinking of a song to sing.

"Come on brat, we don't have all day!" Weiwei yelled out making the whole class erupt in laughter.

"That's what you get for humiliating me, you dirty little rat!" Anne snickered as she glared at Chelsea victoriously believing she had won.

Chelsea sighed as she tried to a avoid the girl so much but she didn't was relentless, so she'd just give the girl what she wanted.

"🎶You sit there with that look on your face like you've won 🎶..." She started and the whole class feel silent searching for the source of the harmony voice.

For the first time in five minutes, Chaya opened her ears as she stared at Chelsea in awe.

Annette who'd been smiling confidently gasped in shock as she stared at Chelsea realising she had just made a mistake.

"🎶 Well I will be the strongest that he ever knew, and I will be there when he needs a love stong enough 🎶..." The entire class unknowingly began to sing along with Chelsea.

Annette was boiling in rage as she glared daggers into her suck up minions who were now singing along with Chelsea.

Soon, Gold class was attracted to the melodious voice and were soon flocking to Diamond class to see the owner of the voice.

After a good five minutes of 'please repeat', Chelsea was finally done singing the song she chose.

The teacher was now at a loss, because there was no way she could declare Annette as the winner when the results were so vivid.

It would make people see her as a teacher who plays favorism between students. That would ruin her reputation in front of two classes, she couldn't let that happen.

"Wow, Miss Vanderson. Your voice is incredibly beautiful, have you ever considered a career in music. Because you'd blow minds if you do." Mrs Black intentionally boot licked Chelsea.

Chelsea, who's legs were shaking from standing too long smiled wearily at the teacher.

"Thank you Mrs Black, your remark flatters me. Can I please go back to my seat." Chelsea said in a sentence and didn't wait for permission before running back to her seat.

The people who were bullied by Annette from Diamond and Gold class, began to expressing their thoughts.

___

"That foolish bully, serves her right."

"Yeah, her voice sounds like a dying turkey compared to KC's."

"Felling too high, how do it feel to fall to the ground."

"..."

___

They all said fearlessly, forgetting the girl was standing right before them.

After Chelsea, the remaining people after her had their turns to compete with Annette and of course all lost to the raging bull, including the class perfect girl.

After the exercise, Annette was sent back to her class along with her classmates.

"Curse you, Chelsea. I'll make your life in this school a living hell, I swear!" The girl yelled inwardly but kept a calm face on the outside.

She walked out of the class defeated and officially with a successfully ruined day.

The remaining classes for the first half of the day went smoothly until it came time for recess.

It was the usual escape. First one to leave for recess last one to enter class, at times don't.

Chelsea snuck out of the class, glancing sideways for any sight of bullies.

She had to make it in one piece to Travis so she could give him his medicines.

She walked down the hallway stealthily until she was just a step away from freedom, when an wrapped around her shoulders.

Chelsea jolted and sighed when she saw it was Chaya. Chaya stared worriedly at Chelsea who was sweating profusely.

"Chelsea are you okay, you don't look so good." Chaya said as she lead Chelsea out of the building.

"I'm fine, it's just high school fiasco phobia. Just try to stay out of trouble." Chelsea said with a cheerful grin as she and Chaya crossed over to Travis's school.

"I'll introduce you to my little bro. He's an absolute sweetheart and is very easy to get along with." Chelsea said excitedly.

It was shocking for Chaya to see this side of Chelsea. Playful, enthusiastic and warm. Unlike the cold, aloof personality she showed everyone at school.

"Sister Chelsea!" A little voice yelled behind the bubbly duo and Chelsea turned around to see Travis.

The little boy ran into her arms with his lunch box in his arm.

Chelsea smiled at the boy who she was currently straddling in a hug.

"You seem happy, what's the good news." Chelsea said finally releasing him from her tight hug.

"I've topped my class in the assessment test today!" Travis cheered happily.

"Oh really, I'm so proud of you!" Chelsea yelled like a proud mother giving the boy another hug.

"Sister, who's the pretty black lady over there?" Travis asked describing Chaya politely.

"Oh sorry I forgot." Chelsea said and went to go stand beside her new friend, "This is Chaya, my new classmate. Say hi Travis."

"Hello, Miss Chaya. I'm Travis, Sister KC's junior and only brother." Travis said, giving his full introduction.

"Of course darling, Chelsea has told me a lot about you on our way here." Chaya said as she knelt down to the little boy's level pinching his chubby cheeks admiring his cuteness and striking resemblance to Chelsea.

Chelsea walked to the bench in the playground with Travis's lunch bag in hand.

"Really, are you sure about that?!" Travis asked in bewilderment confusing Chaya.

"Of course!" The girl affirmed and Travis immediately bursted into laughter.

"I'll leave you two to bond, I'll be returning shortly with Mr Travis's medicines." Chelsea said in a sentence and gave the boy a mischievous smile.

The little boy laughed so hard that he even chocked on his own saliva.

"Ha, sister must really like you. She only speaks freely with me, little Susu, Aunty Maria and our mother. At least when she was alive." Travis said solemnly as he gazed at Chelsea who was searching through his bag.

"Your parents are dead?" Chaya asked, a little too curiously and Travis shook his head as denial.

"Not both our parents, just our Mum. Daddy is very bad, he's the reason why I have this bandage wrapped around my head." Travis said, his tone filled with dislike for his father.

"I'm so sorry about that, when did she die?" Chaya asked another personal question but Travis was too young to realise the questions she asked were indeed very personal.

"Six months ago. We're living with our Aunty Maria now." Travis said as Chelsea approached them with his medicines.
