Chapter 5: Villains Second Heist

As the first group of Dwartle Minions went through the wooden door to the museum. The second group entered the metal door. The inside was covered in shadow, but the minions entered without hesitation.

They appeared in a broom closet of the Orbital Casino. It was a cramped fit, but they all managed to fit inside. The Dwartle in the front quickly opened the door and walked out. They were in the center of the casino itself. Aliens and humans littered the casino floor. There were slot machines, card game tables, even some fighting rings were scattered around with people placing bets.

Fortunately the robots blended in perfectly. There were other robots of different designs walking around and gambling. The Dwartle's stood in place as they each began to scan the casino. Unfortunately this is where their luck ran out. The casino had a formation around it that blocked scans from High-Rank 4 cultivators and below. Seeing as their scanners didn't work the group split up and followed workers around.

Each worker, regardless of race, wore a dark purple button up uniform with silver trimmings. Everyone one of them were either a Low-Rank 1 cultivator or a regular person. Only the guards stationed around were High-Rank 2 cultivators. The manager of this particular casino was a Durin. A rock like race that had an insatiable hunger for precious gems and metals. They were technically inorganic, but could cultivate via certain metals and gems they found. That's this manager worked for the casino. Being a Mid-Rank 3 cultivator they were paid in certain gems that would help them grow their cultivation.

In the main security office the manager sat in a chair with a football sized green gem in her stone fingers. She had her eyes closed and gently absorbed the mana from within the gem. She was growing her cultivation level by doing this. Unbeknownst to her there were 5 intruders that never triggered the security system. In her mind this was just another day for her.

The Dwartle minions began to follow each casino worker they found. Some were just bar tenders creating alcoholic concoctions for many different specie's. Another was a janitor that would clean up any mess or aftermath of a drunk gambler. One minion followed a security officer who just assumed it was a new robot learning about the universe. It was unheard of for a newly evolved sentient robot to do so.

Luckily one of the minions found and followed the right person. The worker was a Casino cash counter. The Dwartle signaled to the the other 4 minions when it realized it was being led to the vault area. Although when it got close a couple of guards blocked it path. They were the same species as the race in the museum the other group went to.

"Whoa there little buddy. Afraid you can't enter. I'm sure you are learning about the universe, but this is an off limits area."

"Yeah. Employee's only. How about you go off to the slot machines and try to get some credits" the guard on the right said with a fake smile. He was always annoyed by newly sentient robots. They always wanted to learn everything. He thought they should keep their nose out of other peoples business.

The robot just stood there and tilted it's held like it was trying to understand what it said. The guards remained silent just standing there guarding the entrance towards where the vault was. Over the next few minutes the robots started converge on the first one.

When one showed up the guards thought it was a friend or partner. Another one showed up and they grew confused. Two more showed up and they began to get worried thinking something was up.

"Come on guys. We need you all to leave" one of the guards said sternly. "This isn't a place for you to learn this is a place of business. Private business. So we need you all to leave."

"Go gamble. This isn't a place for you" the guard spoke and untucked his upper limbs. He waved them at the robots to shoo them away.

The sensors of the robots flickered as they took this as a form of attack.

The minion attacked all at once! 5 vs 2. It was a very quick assualt. With all 5 minions, the first one grabbed both of the guards by their faces while the others grab various parts of their bodies. They all quickly absorbed their energy and turned the guards into withered corpses.

One of the gambling patrons happened to glance over seeing this horror. She let out a blood circling scream! Other onlookers turned their gaze to horrific scene.

Two guards, now withered corpses, laying on the show room floor. The robots ignored the cries and gasps as they entered the employees only section.

Panic ensued as many patrons began to yell and scream for help. Very quickly guards were dispatched and the manager was notified. She was pissed her men did notify before this happened! How could her guards be that stupid! She was in the middle of cultivating when she was stopped!

The 5 Dwartle's movements were synchronized and methodic. As they traversed the hallway every time they ran into a worker or guard of the casino they would attack! They left no one in their path alive. They refused to be obstructed by anything or anyone.

When blast doors in the hallway began to shut the robots reacted. They would all punch the door separately, but in the exact same spot each time. In just a few seconds the Dwartle's would break a door down. With the guards and manager right on their tails this was a huge boon!

These few seconds quickly added up as the robots had to break more doors. As the robots made it deeper and deeper towards the vault of the casino so too did the guards. Just as the robots were making their way to the last door to the vault the manger and her entourage appeared.

"Well well well. Look what we have here boys" the mangers monotone voice echoed through the ruined hallway. "Got our selves a couple of machines that think they can run the place how they see fit. But bad news you bunch of busted bolts. This is my house. You left a path of 7 dead men back there. My men. It's time I thought you a lesson. Watch and learn boys!"

The manager was convinced she was more powerful then these robots. Everyone knows machines can't cultivate. They are only as strong as the material they can find. And those machines that are as strong as cultivators wouldn't be in her casino. They would be out there growing stronger.

Not only was she convinced of her power, she wanted to show off. She wanted to prove to her men why she's on top. Or the best not forget or she will have their heads!

She carried her nearly 8ft tall pure stone body towards the robots. Imbedded in her shoulders were dazzling brightly colored red gemstones. Very similar to the green one she was absorbing earlier. She crackers her knuckles and began to summon her mana to cast a spell.

A dark grey magical circle appeared on the ground below her as she quickly chanted. She was thankful the robots didn't react. She assumed, just like the rest, that the robots were newly sentient and had no idea some cultivars take on a magical path. She smirked as she finished her spell.

The metal along the walls, floor and ceiling of the hallway came to life! Long 2-3ft long jagged spikes of metal sprouted from the ground. All of them directed at the robots.

CRUNCH

As the metal spiked reached the robots, the mangers eyes widened! The spikes she meant to pierce the armor of the robots were instead smashed! The robots she attacked were unfazed by her spell! They all just tilled their heads at her. Almost saying "is that all you got"?

The manager was fuming at the thought of them saying that. She released her aura and quickly caster another spell, but this time the robots reacted. Unknown to her the robots were actually studying the magical spell she cast. The couldn't replicate it, yet, but learned how to counter it. By attacking and interrupting it.

The first minion lunged at her and grappled with her. The manager was caught off guard by the strength the robot showed. It was like she was fighting a High-Rank 2 battle cultivator! She tried to pull her hands back to try and finish the spell, but light of the magical circle began to dim. She could feel her mana be drained by the robot!

She started to panic! "Don't just stand there attack them you idiots!" She commanded her men. They all had to shake themselves to wake them from their stupor. They were shocked and terrified by the nonchalant attitude of the robots. They were clearly strong, taking one the managers strongest spells, and attacking her. They yelled to rally themselves and attacked.

But it was all for naught. As the battle ensued the guards quickly realized how dire the situation was! Even though they outnumbered the robots as soon as they were grabbed by one they would instantly feel weaker. These robots somehow had the strength of a Low-Rank 3 cultivator, but also the power to absorb both mana and energy!

The guards did the best they could. They used magic or aura infused attacked on the robots, but couldn't leave more then a scratch on their shiny bodies. As the battle continued the manger was no match of the robots she yelled out for help and those that could leave their 2 or 3v1's rushed over to help her. They used all their strength to pry the robot off.

The manger and guards helping her screamed as they pulled the robot off of her. Once free she looked the same, but everyone could tell she had changed. Grown older and her rocky exterior was much more brittle now. She still had the two hand prints carved into either side of her head. See the monster that these robots were she yelled for them all run for their lives!

She and 3 that helped her were the only ones to run. The others were killed. They had their energy drained and become withered corpses. Seeing as they had no more obstacles. The robots all turned facing the vault. They were emotionless. Not caring about the disaster they wrought simply for credits.

It took the combined effort of the 5 Dwartle's to break into the vault. The door itself was nearly 4ft deep and made out of very tough metals. Once inside the robots stood in a small 10x10 room filled with credits! Hundred of millions of credit's littered the room. The Dwayne scanned the room and found the right price. They each collected 10,000 credits, opened their chests and sucked the money in.

Seeing as their objective was completed they headed back to the door to bring the credits back.
