Chapter 27: Shock and Awe

Yimi quickly got and looked around. She had no idea when she had fallen asleep and was surprised she wasn't all pruney! Which she thought was odd, but that thought quickly vanished as she got clothed. She was more concerned what that primal roar was!

She rushed out of her room looking down the short hallway only to see Kur walking out of a room. The door quickly closed behind him. He noticed Yimi and opened his arms to great her.

"Ah Yimi! You're awake. Are you ready to continue our journey? We have a lot to do!" He took a few steps toward her. He was trying to control where she walked . He didn't want her meeting Alduin just yet. He wanted to give him more time to adjust to his new body before summoning him.

"WHAT THE H#LL WAS THAT?!" Yimi spoke in a distressed panic. That roar truly shook her to her core. To be ale to do that a creature would have to be in the Nascent realm! Her pupils dilated as a thought appeared in her mind. 'Did Kur create a new minion that was in the Nascent realm? Or possibly higher?! How powerful is Kur to be able to do this?' She had really stepped into the tigers den only to find a dragon.

A small part of her regretted befriending Kur, but it was too late. She had already hinted at being part of the revolutionist. She had made her bed and she would lie in it.

"Oh that?" Kur tried to sound innocent, but knew Alduin's awakening roar had drawn attention to himself. He figured he'd just fess up and allow the two to meet. If they didn't meet now Kur had the feeling that if he just surprised her with Alduin she would freak out and be scared of him, Which he could sense already.

"Fine. I know he must have woken you up and scared you, so you two should meet." Kur raised his hands to comfort her and steel her self. "Before you meet him, you need to know a few things. He is one of a kind and I can't and won't make any others like him. He looks scary, but is a newborn to you. Also he isn't fully completed yet so be mindful not to stare."

Yimi nodded her head as more thoughts rushed through her mind. Did he create a new Sentient in only a few hours?! If that roar was from an incomplete Sentient how powerful would it become?! She was wrong about Kur.

He had to be much higher cultivation than she thought. Is he close to breaking all his Soul Chains and ascending to the Eternal Saint Realm?! It was crazy to keep thinking how powerful Kur was. She had been surprised over and over again. She was almost starting to feel numb to how many shocks Kur could give her. She had to let it go and just accept he was a hidden cultivator in the Eternal Saint Realm. That was the only explanation!

Although if he was, how could the rest of the universe not know about him? Universal news would have said something about it. H#ll he was the first Sentient to ever be a cultivator AND be an Eternal Saint! The entire universe would have known the name Kur!

As she pulled herself back from her mind she remained silent and nodded. Agreeing with everything Kur had asked; to not panic or scream and to be understanding of the situation.

She was also told that his name was Alduin. When she heard that her eyebrows furrowed. Where had she heard that name before? She planned to save that thought for later and try to find information about that in the library. She had to meet the creation first though. Hopefully meeting him would give her a hint.

Kur turned and opened he door with Yimi following close behind him. She was anticipating meeting such a creation. She wasn't disappointed either. Before her in this workshop like room was a silver Wyvern! It was18ft tall, 50ft long and a wingspan of 100ft. It looked more like a skeleton of a Wyvern than an actually living one. Was this what Kur meant when he said it wasn't complete yet?

She could only stair at the awe inspiring appearance. It had a pure silver skeletal/mechanical body. Inside it's hollow eyes were greyish green flames acting as it's eyes. Did it have Soul vision? Those eyes looked like the eyes of creatures with power regarding the undead and spirits. Did this new Sentient have powers regarding souls? How could a machine manage souls?!

"Master" Alduin's voice was gravely and unnerving. It echoed and reverberated in Yimi's body. To her very core. "Who is this?" His flame green eyes flickered as Alduin looked at her with curiosity. This was the second being he's met and didn't know how to react. But since she was with his master she must be a friend he thought.

"Alduin. This is Yimi. She's a Druid from planet FP-108. Her planet was attacked by the undead and I had sent some minions to help her." He gestured towards Yimi. "Yimi this is Alduin. My first Henchmen. He is the first of his kind. He isn't fully built yet, but he is powerful."

Yimi just nodded her head in silence. She was in the Core Foundation Realm and was trying to get a good sense of Alduin. She didn't have the same level of mana control as a Nascent Realm or even the Liquifying Realm so she couldn't read too much into Alduin. Although Alduin was doing the same thing. He was technically in the middle of the Liquifying Realm and Nascent Realm and could control his mana very well. Once he was fully built he would be in the Nascent Realm.

In just the brief few seconds Alduin had managed to get a use his mana control to analyze Yimi. He could tell she was Mid rank of the Core Foundation Realm. That she was a half elf, no blood line, a weak cultivation path and no archetype. He summarized that she would never make it to the Nascent Realm unless she changed cultivation paths or gain an archetype. Both he calculated were unlikely to happen.

"She is weak master" Alduin spoke. "Why are you willing to risk yourself helping those that are much weaker than you?"

Yimi was speechless. Of course she was weak compared to Kur! There were only a couple thousand in the universe as strong as him. Kur had to stifle his laugh. He didn't think Alduin would be this blunt or rude.

"Alduin that's not nice to say. I'm helping for my own reasons. You'll learn about them later as well. For now we are helping them and that's it" Kur said trying to defuse the tension. Although he could only sense anger from Yimi. Alduin was just being honest.

"I am a Core Formation cultivator! I am a powerhouse on any planet! Any organization would give me amazing benefits to join them. H#ll I could even make my organization and make it far!" Yimi was filled with anger. She was a Druid and a Cultivator! She wasn't going to let a machine tell her that she was weak and that she had a limit!

Every cultivator dreamed of growing stronger and breaking their Soul Chains and ascending. How could a machine tell her anything different.

"I'm being truthful" Alduin spoke. "As you are now you are limited to your growth. Without changes you will never reach passed the Liquifying Realm."

"How do you know anything?! You are just built and not even fully built might I add."

Kur just stood in silence baffled by the situation as the two argued.

He wasn't expecting Yimi to be so passionate about her cultivation or how blunt Alduin will be. He had played Skyrim and figured his Alduin would be like the one from the game, but this. Was much different. His Alduin was acting like a child who thought they were smarter than others.

"ENOUGH!" Kur commanded. The two shut their mouths and looked at Kur. "I did not allow you two to meet to bicker like children! We have to get to the library before it's too late. I will not bring you with me, Alduin, unless you can behave yourself."

Alduin lowered his head. He didn't understand what he felt, but he didn't like how he felt being scolded by his master. If he could describe it it would be that his cheeks were hot and flustered. This was his first time feeling shame. "I apologize master. I will trust your judgment hence forth."

"I too apologize" Yimi said with a bow of her head. "My actions have been very unbecoming of me. We have wasted much of your time for a simple reward for you."

What she had failed to realize was that Kur stated they were on a time limit. If she heard that she would have instantly knew he had an agenda regarding the library. Besides gaining cultivation books.

"Good. Since that is settled. Alduin you will stay here. You are free to use the [GalactiNet Café] as much as you want. I planned to leave the Wolven here with you to keep you company, but I need to send them on a Scheme to make credits for us."

Alduin nodded his head agreeing with his master. "I will use the GalactiNet to learn more master." He than moved his body to bow before Kur.

"Alright Yimi, shall we?" He said as he turned and left. She quickly followed not wanting to be left in the room with Alduin alone. As they walked back Kur gave some mental commands to the System.

The first was sending his Wolven on another [Bank Heist] Scheme. Thankfully it was a scheme that would repeat and always be around. It would generate another 250,000 credits and raise his [Heat Level] by 70. Which normally would be bad, but with his mission regarding the Vampire his [Heat Level] could go past 100 and not have to worry about being invaded.

The other command he gave was for the System to allow Alduin to use his VR avatar and explore the GalactiNet. He wanted Alduin to learn all he could regarding….cultivation! The thought just occurred to him! He could have just purchased cultivation books and techniques off the GalactiNet!

He would definitely look on their again. He also had to visit that dwarf again and copy other blueprints. He forgot he even stole that last blueprint and didn't even use it. Maybe he should once this Vampire mess is finished.

Speaking of him and Yimi had a goal. To reach the Library as quickly as possible. They had another 10 hours worth of travel at their current speed and he only had 16 hours left for his mission. Looks like he'll have to carry Yimi to make it on time. He just hoped she wouldn't fight him on it.
