Chapter 100: The Archfiend
Everyone agreed to the plan to get the evidence to Victor as they started to gather what they could on Sinclair.
"We need more evidence," said Alex when he had gone through what they had and decided that the evidence they had was not enough.
"We need to get more information on this guy," said Victor. "I need to know what I'm dealing with here."
Everyone nodded as they got out their phones and started to call the connections they had to get more data on who Sinclair was.

"You said you wanted me here for interrogation but I've been here for more than four hours and nothing has come forth yet," said Greg who was tired of seeing the lead investigators face.
She didn't say anything as Greg laid back in his seat in a calm way. He was not disturbed by what they had against him. He knew this was going to be another case he would win as usual.
He was not afraid of what they would bring against him.
He looked around the office he was in and found two men by the window, sitting on their desk with the woman before him with her glasses hanging on her lower face.
At least he wasn't detained unlawfully for rumors which they had not investigated about.
Someone entered the room to present a file before the woman which had her nodding as he ran out of the office.
"Alright, we can start," she smiled, which had Greg sitting up.
"Finally," the heir smiled.
She opened the file and raised a brow.
"Wow," she said. The other men came around the table to look at what she was looking at.
They widened their eyes as they looked at the heir before looking at the file again.
"Mr Greg, I don't think you're walking out of this one without some kind of special sign from God. The evidence and pictures I've got here can have you in prison for life and not even your money can save you."
Greg sat up. "What are you talking about?"
"The girl you raped," the woman started as Greg raised a finger.
"False accusations. I'm sure if you call the girl forward she would defend me and herself. I will not stand for such false allegations. Come on, call her."
The woman looked at her partners before turning to Greg.
"I'm afraid we cannot do that," she said.
"Why not?" scoffed the man.
She presented the pictures of the girl who had slit her wrists and died in a bathtub.
"Because she committed suicide and she left a suicide note."
This surprised the heir as he took the picture to look through it. She had been killed, he knew who had done this but knew calling his name would only make matters worse.
"This would have your case taken seriously and even taken to court. There is nothing we at the station can do for you."
The door opened as Sinclair entered with a smile on his face.
"How are we doing today?" the man smiled as he caught sight of the picture of the dead girl. "Wow, that could lead you into getting in prison for how many years?"
"Life imprisonment sir," the woman answered with Sinclair falling into a couch brought for him.
He sat there for sometime before looking at Greg's face which was eerily calm.
"What kind of psychopath are you?" Sinclair asked with a smile on his face. He was enjoying watching Greg being interrogated and blamed for a crime he didn't commit.
Greg on the other hand was not bothered by any of these. He saw the picture and the suicide note which had his name on it.
He could see that if this was taken to a higher court, he would be charged for murder and he could be placed behind bars.
After all, according to what was being said, he had raped the girl and for that she had killed herself because she could not handle the trauma, but in reality, he had not done any of that.
He knew the woman was bluffing with all this fake evidence and since he hadn't done anything against him, he would soon be free from their clutches.
They had a stronger evidence against him this time with her death and suicide note but he smiled while leaning back in his chair.
This little smile had Sinclair concerned with the woman and they could not understand why he was so relaxed even when a heavy sentence could be placed on him.
They asked him a couple more questions which he answered before Sinclair got frustrated by his answer and exited.
The two men left, leaving Greg with the woman alone in the office.
They spoke for sometime before getting acquainted.

Sinclair drove through the dark streets as he thought about what he had gone through with Greg. He could not believe he had been in the office just to be defeated by Greg who didn't even say a word to him.
He banged his hand against the steering wheel in rage.
"Fuck!" He screamed as he floored the car through the dark streets. "I'm going to teach you a lesson you won't forget Greg. I promise you that."
He had expected the man to beg for his life and ask for forgiveness and help but since he had not done that it meant that Greg was hiding something.
He was determined to find out what that was. He was not going to give up on finding out what was giving Greg the strength to stay calm.
He had successfully murdered the club girl and made it look like a suicide mission. He had made everything look like it was a suicide and had faked the suicide note.
It had been difficult getting the girl to write the note but it had finally been done. He had entered the office to see Greg in tears and begging for his life but that smug smile had come as a surprise.
