What Mrs. Clegg said did not explain why Victoria could not go out.

"But all I am doing is going to work," Victoria didn't understand, "I'm not going out to make a mess."

Mrs. Clegg sighed: "It's not safe for you to go out now. The Gordon family has been causing us troubles these past few days. In case it affects you, it wouldn't be good. Your wedding with Hank Clegg is imminent, it's better to have less to worry about."
