Chapter 73: Saving Tatia
New World, 1001
Nik: "AHHHHH, brother what's happening to me?"
Niklaus was screaming in pain while a lifeless body lay on the ground. His bones were breaking in an unnatural way and his eyes turned from the usual red to gold-yellow.
As Niklaus was screaming in pain, two people appeared behind him, one was identical to him but more sophisticated and the other one is a red hair, they are Viktor and Sage.
Niklaus couldn't detect their presence because he was in pain and was not that familiar with his new vampire ability.
Viktor immediately casted a spell that made them invisible to the naked eyes.
Viktor then looked at the scene in front of him and sighed as he then looked at Sage who wore an oblivious look as if she did not know why Viktor was looking at her.
Viktor: "I told to take us back to the moment I killed Tatia, not when Klaus had his first kill"
Sage: "it's not my fault, I don't usually use this ability often as it is very dangerous so I couldn't exactly take us back to the exact moment in time, but this is also not bad, I mean, you are going to kill her in the next few hours, so we just have to wait around for a bit"
Viktor just sighed and looked at the scene as he saw Elijah and their father come to see the screaming Niklaus and his transformation into a hybridwhicha made Mikael very angry as he found out that Niklaus and Viktor might not be his son.
He stormed out of the place and went to look for Esther to demand an explanation from her leaving Elijah and Niklaus who watched the later transform into a werewolf and ran off in another direction.
Viktor: "now, he is going on a killing spree and Tatia should have come out and see the monstrosity that were created from her blood and tried to run away but Elijah saw her and chased after her only for to fall and cut herself, then she had Elijah will have a little argument which will lead Elijah to discover that she is bleeding and he will lose control of himself and drink her dry and then mummy dearest would have made Elijah forget that he was the one who killed her thereby, creating something he will later call the red door where he will came bad memories or his monstrous side of himself locked away"
Sage: "and why are you telling me this?"
Viktor looked at Sage and wondered how dumb she could be not to get what he was trying to tell.
Viktor: "how dumb can you be? What I'm trying to tell you is that, I killed Tatia not just because I wanted to break my curse and trigger my werewolf gene, no, I killed Tatia because I did not want Elijah to hate himself for killing her and creating a monster of himself. Elijah will never be able to get over it for the rest of his life, this day would have marked the day he turned into a ruthless killer, well he is a ruthless killer even now but he is still sane unlike when he would have killed Tatia"
Sage: "so you are basically saying that the reason you killed Tatia was because you knew he will be the one to kill her himself, correct?"
Viktor: "yes, which would have scarred him for life"
Sage: "ok, I get that, but what I don't get is how you knew what was going to happen"
Viktor: "let's just say I used a spell to check the possible future after the death of Henrik, I did not want to be caught unaware again with the death of one of my family member, so I looked into the future"
Viktor just told Sage what she wanted to know even if it was a lie.
Sage: "so how did you prevent Tatia from finding out about Niklaus and Elijah?"
Viktor: "simple, I created a barrier that trapped her inside her home, preventing her from coming out"
Sage: "isn't that risky, she did not know about the world of supernatural yet and you doing that would have made her suspicious"
Viktor: "why should care about that, she was going to die anyway, if anything, I should have been worried about her son but I compelled him to leave so he didn't know about the death of his mother, then the Noble Elijah wanted to take care of the boy but everything went south and we had to leave in a hurry"
Sage: "so you abandoned the boy"
Viktor: "I won't call it abandoning, he grew up to be a fine man, didn't you see her descendants, Katerina and Elena, that's a testament that he survived"
After Viktor said that, he and Sage went to the home of Tatia who was trapped inside her home unable to come out.
Sage: "now what"
Viktor: "we wait, I should be here in a few hours or less, depends, I don't remember, it's been a thousand years and I was not the one who messed up with the time travelling"
Viktor said as he received a stare from Sage.
Viktor and Sage sat down and waited for the past Viktor to make an appearance when they felt a gaze behind them.
Viktor turned around to see Ayana looking directly at them which made Viktor frown as even if the spell he used was just a low level cloaking spell, Ayana should not have been able to see them.
Ayana: "you are not from this era, how did you come here, what spell did you use, can you teach me? I have some unfinished business"
Ayana said with glee in her eyes which baffled Viktor as he knew Ayana to be a serious person and nothing can put a smile on her face or make her change her stoic expression which made Viktor know that this not the Ayana that he knows, she is possessed by someone else and he knew who that might as she is the only strong enough to pull something like this to a powerful witch of this era without her knowing and be able to see the moment they came here and also see through his cloaking spell, his wife, Qetsiyah.
Viktor: "sigh, don't you have anything better to do than to peep at people everything, love"
Sage raised a brow at him before looking closely at Ayana and saw that she was possessed by Qetsiyah.
Sage: "well, the saying is true, a husband can tell who is wife is under any circumstances"
Ayana or Qetsiyah who was currently occupying Ayana's body was surprised when she heard that and looked at Viktor as if examining him.
Ayana (Qetsiyah): "so my theory was correct, you are indeed from the future and from what this young lady is saying, you and I might be in a relationship, well you do pass off as someone who could win my heart but I bet you must have gone through hell to win my heart"
Qetsiyah said with confidence as she believed she is not someone to fall easily for any man given her past relationship and her trust issues.
Sage: "you are Narcissistic as the story says"
Ayana (Qetsiyah): "who are you anyway, why are you here with my future husband and not me?"
Sage: "and here comes the trust issues, Viktor, I have to say, you are one hell of a man to manage to be able to stay with her for that long"
Viktor sighed as the two women ignored him and bickered back and forth.
Viktor: "okay, both of you stop it, and you, love, go back to the other side and wait for the me in this timeline to meet with, and you are not my wife, the future you is, since I can't make you forget, you will remember this day and might use it against me when I get back like I was cheating by letting you call yourself my wife, what's that called again Sage?"
Sage: "like you are cheating on her with herself, you both are certainly the most perfect couple"
Ayana (Qetsiyah): "but first tell me what type of spell is this?"
Viktor sighed and looked at Sage who also sighed.
Sage: "it's not a spell, but one if my abilities, so you can't learn it, so if you would excuse us, we have something to do"
Ayana (Qetsiyah) looked at the house of Tatia and knew they were here for her but she didn't know what it was that they need.
Ayana (Qetsiyah): "what do you want with the doppelganger of Amara?"
Viktor: "all right love, go back now"
Viktor said as he casted a spell that expelled Qetsiyah from Ayana's body who fainted.
Sage: "well, you are going to hear an earful when we get back"
Viktor: "nah, he is the one who is going to have an earful, not me"
Viktor said as he saw himself walking towards the house of Tatia.
Viktor: "well, it's time to get down to business"
