Chapter 19: Chapter : 19 Weird Dream and chasers!

The night air gently wafted through the balcony, causing the curtains to sway intermittently. Vali lay on his bed, immersed in slumber, murmuring, "Hmm, why is my chest so heavy?"

His eyes fluttered open hazily, and he noticed a girl's head resting on his chest. "Just a girl," he whispered softly, closing his eyes again.

"A girl?" Vali exclaimed suddenly sitting up, scanning the room, but there was no one in sight. The only sound was a faint meow..meow...

Turning, Vali discovered a cat by his side. "It's you. Were you sleeping on my chest?" he asked, lifting the cat. However, a lingering energy caught his attention. "Are you some kind of monster cat?" Vali pondered, examining the seemingly ordinary feline.

"Perhaps I'm dreaming," Vali reasoned, laying back on the bed. But before succumbing to sleep again, he addressed the cat, "Hey, cat, don't sleep on top of me." With that, he drifted off to sleep.

Next morning...

Vali stood on the silver magic circle, ready to teleport back to Kuoh in the human world to meet his friends and say goodbye. Due to Rizevim incident, Alistair recommended moving away from Kuoh, and Hiroshi and Sarah were already on their way to China.

After teleporting into his now-empty Kuoh house which echoed with emptiness, Vali swiftly adorned his school uniform using magic before embarking on the journey to school.

Upon reaching school, the break was filled with murmurs. Issei, Matsuda, Motohama, and Kaito voiced their confusion and frustration. Kaito exclaimed, "Why is everyone leaving? First that bastard Irina, and now you," as Vali revealed his impending departure from Kuoh.

Post-school hours were spent in the park, immersed in play with friends. As the sun descended, the group dispersed, each heading home. Vali, strolling towards his residence around 5:00 p.m, contemplated, "There's still time. Maybe I should tour around Kuoh a bit more." With Dragonic wings summoned and Balance Breaker activated in a shroud of white armor, Vali soared into the sky, floating above, gazing down upon the town.

As the sun descended and painted the night sky with a canvas of stars, Vali's flight continued. Albion's voice resonated, "Vali, we are already out of Kuoh. Where are we going?"

Vali, seemingly lost in his thoughts, replied, "What? I didn't even realize." He looked down to see an area less populated, surrounded by dense forests.

As he surveyed the surroundings, an unfamiliar energy emanated from the forest. "It seems like someone is fighting," he remarked, steering towards the faint source. Hindered by the dense trees, visibility was limited, prompting Vali to close his eyes and rely on his senses.

Amidst the obscurity, he detected around ten individuals, their unique energies distinct in the night. They were in pursuit of a small child, the chase unfolding in the midst of the dimly lit forest.

While in the dense forest, a chilling pursuit unfolded. Ten relentless figures, driven by an ominous purpose, chased a small girl adorned with long black hair and captivating violet eyes. Desperation clung to her every breath as exhaustion threatened to betray her. In a heart-wrenching moment, she stumbled and collapsed onto the unforgiving ground.

"You are finally caught," sneered the leader, his hand ablaze with an ominous fire that danced ominously.

The girl's eyes mirrored her fear as the persuader approached, his intent clear. However, just as despair seemed inevitable, a sudden eruption of blinding light and a forceful gust of wind heralded the arrival of Vali. Hovering above the ground, he materialized a protective barrier, shielding the fallen girl from his arrival force. The pursuers, caught off guard, struggled to maintain their balance in the face of this unexpected gust of wind.

As the dust settled, Vali, now adorned with ethereal white and light blue wings, confronted the bewildered pursuers. "Who are you, and how dare you meddle in our business?" one of them barked, attempting to assert authority.

Vali's gaze remained fixed on the girl, vulnerable on the forest floor. With a swift and purposeful motion, he tossed a vial of mysterious red liquid towards her. "Use that. It will heal you if you have any wounds," he commanded, his tone unwavering.

Undeterred, the pursuers, perhaps blinded by their own arrogance, dismissed Vali's intervention. "This is a private matter. Don't get in the way and leave!" one shouted, attempting to regain control of the situation.

"You idiots don't get it, do you?" Vali retorted, a seismic energy emanating from his being. The surroundings trembled as his armor radiated a brilliant light, marking a surge in his formidable power. "Whom are you ordering?" he declared, his words resonating with a commanding presence that left no room for defiance.

Amidst the tense encounter, the apparent leader of the pursuers, a figure draped in a heavy silence, stepped forward with a calculating gaze. "Those wings don't lie. It's the White Dragon Emperor," he mused, acknowledging Vali's formidable presence. "Please, ignore their words, White Dragon. But you see, you are meddling in our business. She is a heretic, and we must end her," he declared with a twisted sense of duty.

Vali, perplexed, questioned, "Heretic?"

"She is a fallen angel, whose father bewitched one of our clan members. She is the product of that tainted blood, and we must end her," the leader explained, attempting to justify their pursuit.

Vali's gaze shifted towards the little girl, who appeared to be of similar age. The weight of the accusation hung heavy in the air, and the girl's fear intensified, contemplating the impending threat. "Is he going to kill me now, knowing I am a fallen angel?" she pondered, fear gripping her.

"So what if she is a fallen angel? What right do you have to end her? It's not her blood that is dirty; it's you who are tainted," Vali retorted, challenging the moral ground of their mission.

Undeterred, the leader warned, "So, White Dragon, if you don't move out of our way, we will have no choice but to move you by force." His hand ignited with a yellowish glow, flames dancing ominously around his fingertips.

"Please, leave, or they will hurt you too," the little girl pleaded, her desperation palpable.

"Just drink that and hide behind the trees. This idiot's won't even put a scratch on me," Vali assured, urging the girl to safety. As hesitation lingered, Vali's authoritative shout prompted her to flee, seeking refuge behind the concealing veil of the trees.
