Chapter 2: Chapter 1: Digitally Consumed
"It is quiet easy Emily, You don't have to compile the code in Malbolge language from scratch, if you do not understand it, I will give you the code and you can just memorize it then paste it on your compiler then run it", He said this with only hands showing as he emphasize what he was saying, his face covered by a red and black cloak, blending in with his weird environment that he called a lair of art, it looked more like a cave the Wizard Merlin would use. "Okay, I have heard of that code and I heard it is difficult and almost impossible to understand, because it is said to be ridiculous, a bluff, how do you understand it ?" Emily was scared and excited, scared because of the weird figure Infront of her with a weird cloak but again excited because she always wanted to meet people who have more knowledge in programming , "So ,are you going to help me ,by running the code? Yes or no I need your acknowledgement,Emily ." Emily started to sweat because,he didn't even understand what the code could do , "Yes I will run it for you ,how does the code go?" She took a single step closer to the figure in a cloak , with her face showing only nervousness. "Good! , Here is the code dear Emily, Just paste the code and run it then you'll be impressed with what happens" He handed a piece of paper with a weird exoteric code ,with an amalgam of digits,alphabets and symbols. "Will this even run?, It looks like nonsense, this looks complicated , how do you even understand this weird code, you don't even have no computer, you live in a cave with just rocks! " Emily started having doubts , because the code seems weird ,and the guy never seem to have even a single computer in his lair , "I can only understand that code ,only because I am Malbolge,I am the code ,the code is me ,Now human ,Go!!!" He raised his hands and the whole environment that they were in started turning into pixels, then pixels crushed turning in to bunch of 1s and 0s , Emily was just standing then frightened because the cave seem to be falling on top of her ,she panicked , but for some strange reason that she never seem to understand,she couldn't scream,think,nor move a limb in her entire body ,Seeing she had no power to escape all the madness she just flinched and closed her eyes accepting her eerie detriment.
To her surprise, when she opened her eyes with her heart palpitating so so hard ,and her face sweating,the first thing she saw was her wardrobe and her mirror,then she realized it had all been a dream ,all the weird things she saw ,The figure in a black and red cloak ,the weird code that seem like nonsense ,then she rose from her bed rapidly, She remembered the code it seem weird but not long so she realized she remembered it ,with all the madness that occured in that dream ,she was able to memorize the code ,all of it ,'Wow no matter how glad I am that all I just saw was a dream i still want to check if the code will work ' ,She thought to herself as she went to her desk took out a piece of paper, grabbed a pen ,then wrote the code just as she remembers it ,then sat still looking at the code in awe , thinking to herself 'Wow, this code is weird, so weird.'
Next morning, 06:55 Friday
It was the morning of the night she dreamt of the weird dream that went on and on in her mind like a thought intertwined with her mind not wanting to go.
Even far more scarier than the dream itself was the code she wrote on a piece of paper,she thought about the code the whole night ,At some point she opened her laptop and was so close to copying the code and running it but she thought to herself that a nap would help her think about what to do with the code .
After thinking so hard about what to do she decided she will take a bath first and prepare for school than maybe if she finish quick with everything she might check out the code . To her surprise she finished quickly ,she didn't know if it was because deep inside her nomatter how scared and uncertain about the code ,her inner self wanted to try the code and run it , because she never even for once finished with preparing for school so quick.
She stretched her long flawless hands ,that looked nothing like the hands of a 15 years old , then opened her laptop stared at it as it loaded as it unlocks ,she licked her lips ,she had small lips but seem to get dry whenever she gets nervous.
She Open her Text editor then typed exactly how the code was then when she was finished she stared at the laptop screen,'Honestly ,this looks like gibberish,it seems like I am wasting my time here ' she thought to herself as she pressed run then her laptop sent her to the internet since she didn't have proper compiler for the code , It kept loading and loading,her pupils dilated from excitement and anticipation,she waited as she watched the code run and run without showing no sign of an error as it kept running smoothly,Now she was getting impatient as she watched the screen. After what seemed like an eternity, the code stopped running
She tried to read the message on the output but it also seem like gibberish,then the laptop beeped showing a pop-up with a message that reads WELCOME TO CODE ACA... ,Just as she was about to read the message fully the glitch came back this time it was worse then the screen went green and she started feeling dizzy and she felt herself falling even though she was properly sitting on a chair ,it felt as if she was standing and falling.Then her whole body switched off causing her face to fall straight right on the desk on top of her laptop keyboard then she tried keeping her eyes open but her eyes were heavy ,she felt someone touch her back then everything went black ,Her eyes was closed her whole body numb ,her mind went blank.
